Forget going to the store, they won't help you with anything, doesn't matter what it is. I purchased iPhone 17 Pro Max and got service with AT&T. I got active armor with AT&T to prevent spam text and phone calls. I was getting a lot of spam texts. When I went to the store, they told me there was nothing they could do. Thus was included in with my AT&T service, so I don't know why they refused to help me with it, but they never helped me with anything. I also had poor reception again. They told me nothing they could do that. It was my iPhone. I went to the iPhone store in Albany and they said it wasn't my iPhone. There was nothing wrong with my iPhone. AT&T has never helped me with anything. The worst store to go to. read more

Review of AT&T Store (1137 Ulster Ave, Kingston, NY 12401) Date of Visit: October 29, 2025 (approx. 5:00 PM) Subject: Broken promise regarding Zagg screen protector warranty and poor business ethics. I visited the Kingston AT&T store today seeking a replacement screen protector for my iPhone Max Pro. When I originally purchased the $40 Zagg screen protector, I was specifically persuaded by the salesperson's guarantee: if the protector ever broke, I could return to this store, pay $10, and receive an immediate replacement. This was the single reason I agreed to purchase the product. Today, AT&T refused to honor those terms. I was directed to the Zagg.com website to file a warranty claim, a process which requires dealing with a third party, paying shipping, and waiting for delivery. This is a direct and unacceptable change to the terms and conditions under which the product was sold to me. This experience reflects poorly on AT&T's corporate business ethics and morals. A company should stand behind the terms its employees use to sell products, especially expensive accessories. While I was not angry at the specific employees--who are just following orders--two of the three staff members I interacted with displayed noticeable attitudes. It is no wonder the store was pretty much dead at 5 PM on a Wednesday. When a major service provider changes its fundamental policies and compromises its integrity in this manner, it naturally drives customers away. I will be investigating switching providers immediately, as I cannot do business with a company that changes its terms whenever it suits their bottom line. Buyer Beware: Do not rely on promises made by staff regarding screen protector replacement programs at this AT&T location. read more

If you enjoy wasting your time, this is the company and place for you. Was on the phone 4 times with an order that was placed and never sent. Was sent to the store and was told after an hour to make an appointment and come back. Made appointment, came back, waited and then was told the manager was the only one to help me. Then told she was on lunch. Then returned and was on the phone. She would not step out of the back room to talk to me and call customer service (followed by another 40 minutes on the phone to be given the run around). They did make me wait 40 minutes with this game. Unprofessional, rude and lazy. Aside from the insults thrown at me by phone staff and store I am appalled in the scam I fell for. AT&T do better. As a customer of over 20 years I am now motivated to go elsewhere. You deserve the new companies poaching your customers. read more

I was looking at upgrading my phone at this store - the sales person asked for my phone number, which I gave him. then he asked for my license - I asked why he would need that - I was told it was store policy. when I told him he didn't need my license, he promptly waled away and sat at a desk. he and another staff member were both sitting - no one else in the store - all I wanted to do was get some information. after I yelled a few questions across the room, one staff finally came over and I asked a few questions. wouldn't recommend this store to anyone read more

I've been using this store ever since I moved up here from Queens, so more than 10 years. I'm at a loss to understand all the negative reviews. The staff at the Kingston store have always bent over backwards to help me -- even when I was on prepaid and they weren't making any money on my visit; and even when I had no appointment (which is most of the time). I recently decided to upgrade to a postpaid account, and when the Web site vomited in the middle of the upgrade, the Kingston store finished the process for me. Everything was exactly as it should be when they were done. My number was ported in minutes, there were no surprise fees, they verified my veteran status quickly; and when the bill came in, it was actually slightly lower than they'd estimated. More recently, when I knew I'd be getting a new iPhone delivered the next day, I stopped by without an appointment for an eSIM card in case the phone-to-phone transfer didn't work. They were busy and I had no appointment, so I had to wait for 20 minutes or so; but Chris helped me out when it was my turn, and I walked out of the store with the QR card all configured and ready to be scanned into the phone. Maybe I'm just more patient than most, or maybe I just don't expect a business to stop what they're doing whenever I waltz in without an appointment. Or maybe both. But I do know that I've never had a bad experience with this store. I've also sent others there, including my elderly parents, and they have all been happy with the service. That's my experience. Rude and unprofessional. I was there on labor day. I was met by a young man with tattoos. Not only that he was rude and unprofessional, but also he managed to call.me rude for pointing out his mistake. No help over there, the store manager seems to be unable to manage employees and customer flow. read more

We had to replace a damaged phone. So we decided to go to the Kingdom ATT. These days, you have got to be patient in places where there's only a few people working. We were greeted by Joe, and he answered all our questions thoroughly. And then, worked with us and provided the best deal he was able to offer!! We were very happy with the service here. 1 Star for being clean inside, that's all. The staff I have had experience with are unprofessional, slow and uneducated about their job. The amount of wasted hours I've spent while staff research the issue I'm having with my phone or not understanding how to switch date over to newer phones. Apparently you can't even pay a bill here at the store you have to call. When I called AT&T they said I have a $400 credit the woman helping us told me it can't be used. 1 hour and 25 minutes later. We're sitting here waiting for a SIM card while the clerk chats up a nice family and shows them photos of his daughter. He's got a collage of photos of his daughter he's now showing them. (This review is being written in real time) he's moved on to videos now and is offering a discount to the nice .family. We've been here 1 hour and 31 minutes now. One staff member left at 9pm sharp despite the fact that there were 2 parties who had been waiting an hour at this point. The staff have been in the ""back to refer to someone working there". Mystery employee has yet to poke their head out to help. We just need a SIM card. Go anywhere but here. Disclaimer: As of this writing, I am not an AT&T customer. I am a Verizon customer out of contract. But if the rest of AT&T could be as good as this store, I'd switch. This store has a great selection, with in/out-of contract details available with every device. There were enough staff to help everybody; they checked with customers but did not pressure them at all. There was a ton of open space to view everything conveniently. The trick is, of course, whether AT&T can deliver afterwards. This place is worth a visit for the information you need to do your homework before making a decision. read more

Sales Reps/Manager complete scammers! Went in 2 weeks ago because I was continuously getting text messages and emails I was eligible for an upgrade. Decided to go in and see what my phone was worth, spoke with the manager who took my phone, went into my settings, proceed to type all of the info into his iPad and told me my phone was worth the full trade in value of $830. I decided to proceed with the trade in, he asked which phone, color and storage option I wanted and went into the back to get the phone. He then passed me off to another Rep who would process the trade in. At this point we crunched numbers to figure out what the down payment would be so that we would not have to pay extra per month on our bill. It would have taken about another hour on top of the hour I already was in there for to transfer all of the info from one phone to the other, I was told I could leave and bring the phone back within 30 days. I went back today to give my old phone back as the trade in and was told it was now only worth $350. The manager who told me the previous value was there. He proceed to call me a liar that he would never give out numbers, he "might" have said it could be worth $830, again he input all of my phones information into his iPad to come out with the original trade in value. I proceeded to tell them that they scammed me and I would have never ever did the trade in if I was going to have to pay $1,000 for the phone. The manager was rude and told me they don't scam people, well clearly they do!! Would not recommend AT&T service, be careful of what they tell you. Might want to record what they say to you if you go in there so you have proof that they are liars and scammers! Shame on AT&T! read more

I should have absolutely positively listened to my friend when he told me to NEVER go there. I ordered an iPad Air (online) back in February, and I assumed it would come with a SIM card so I did not order one with the same order, but when it arrived I had no SIM card. I then ordered a SIM card online as I thought it would arrive fairly quickly like the iPad did. It apparently was backordered, and I never received an update about anything (I only found out today that it was backordered and why I'm in this hellish mess). The SIM card had a number attached to it which would automatically have been associated with my iPad. I waited and waited and waited, and the SIM card STILL never came, and I was unable to view anything regarding the order. I went to the AT&T store in Kingston as I was already down there, and explained what happened. They gave me a new SIM card and I was on my way. Apparently, they should have attached that SIM card to the original number, but what they did was open it as a new line and it automatically had my iPad as paid for. I was doing the installment plan therefore it was not paid for. I didn't find out about any of this fiasco until I got an email from AT&T telling me I had 2 weeks to return my device or I would have to pay for it in its entirety, all because they messed up when they gave me the new SIM card. I had to have customer service open a case so that I will then be able to keep the new number associated with my iPad all by paying it off in one installment instead of the installment plan. The hour + long phone call with customer service could have absolutely positively been avoided if they had done their job correctly at the store in the first place. read more

Worst experience I've ever had! I decided to switch from Sprint to AT&T. I went online and confirmed the IMEI numbers to our phones were compatible since we were bringing our own phones, made my plan selections and ordered SIM cards; the transaction went smoothly. A couple days after making my order it was still in pending so I reached out and was told there is a backlog on SIM cards and if I go to the store an associate will give them to me so we can continue porting our numbers and phones. As soon as I get seen by an associate he tells me my phones are not compatible and I will need to purchase new phones, I questioned it and the associate got a little attitude with me. He then tells me there is a buy 1 get 1 deal on iPhones so I would only need to actually pay for 1. My daughter and I decided to trade in our phones and get the new ones hesitantly. A month later we decided to add a line for my husband. He picked out a phone and when the associate put in my information she said I needed to give them a $200 deposit to add the new phone or trade in his old phone. I did not understand why I would need to give a deposit when my credit is fine, I paid the first bill and I just received 2 phones the month before. She was not able to answer that and neither was the manager so we decided to leave. Later that night I went on AT&T's website to complete an order and it also asked for the $200 deposit so my husband said we should just pay it. We decided to go back to the store the very next day and the associate told me it is no longer a $200 deposit but NOW A $400 DEPOSIT!!!! I pulled up online that it is only a $200 deposit and the only explanation they gave was "online offers different deals". At that point the associate attempted to place the order online and do store pick up so we could pay the $200 but leabe with the phone and although they are a major store in the area they do not come up listed as a pick up store on the AT&T website. We walked out for good and decided to place the order online. After getting through the order online I was never charged a deposit and when I called AT&T they said because I have been a good customer and paid my bills on time I did not need to give a deposit after all. Not once during this whole ordeal did the manager of this store speak with us or show any care to our situation. The sales associates (2) would say I need to speak with my manager to see if there is anything we can do and come back with lack of care for the us as the customer and brush us off repeating exactly what was said before they left. I will never step foot back in this store and as soon as we get our phones paid off we will be leaving AT&T! read more

they NEVER answer the phone and when you go to the store the waits are so long -- it's really frustrating. The store is so much nicer than Verizon, and the online support is too. But the fact that you can't get through to anyone at the store (VERIZON always answers their phone), is really annoying. Perfect phone if you need it for a book wait, the service is absolutely just not working dropped calls even with full bars on the phone, went to Canada for a Day called them and told them and they try to charge me $800 just for data a complete scam it's a shame it's a setup it's false it's not even real. Don't ever even go into the store it's so sexy a new looking you'll think you'll get something that actually works. All they're selling is complete junk you're better off with a CD or a walkie-talkie or actually probably two cups and a string it at least be clear service read more

Terrible Customer Service, Tyler was unprofessional, with an attitude. Yes I had an attitude, I had waited an hour and a half for service, and he told me if I didn't want to wait I should make an appointment. The reviews on their own web site state that appointment holders wait over an hour anyway. I would never recommend this store to anyone, if you don't mind the customer service reps talking on, and on to whatever customer they have, sitting at the table, arms across their chests, just flapping their gums, you'll love this place. If you prefer good, efficient, fast customer service, then this is not the place for you. After you wait an hour and a half, and yes you have a bit of an attitude, you don't expect Mohawk Boy to say "Don't talk to me with that tone." Appointments at a store, I think I'll make one for WalMart, and Target now. Don't go to this "store", terrible, terrible customer service. They are obviously there for a paycheck, and not the customer. read more

The service at this location is by far the worst in any store I have ever been in. The employees are rude, and unhelpful. There is ALWAYS a wait, and they act as though they a]re doing you a favor by taking your business. There is NO SYSTEM for waiting, but they say now you are supposed to sign in, but there is a guy wandering around, signing you in, and since he doesn't know who was first, he just randomly puts you on a list, so somebody who just walked in, may be in front of you, even if you have been waiting for 20 minutes. I am talking about the stand alone store across from the Panera's, not the one in the Hudson Valley Mall. There is never a wait there, so I will go there from now on. But I will probably just cancel my AT & T service in a few months and get Verizon, T-Mobil, or anyone else besides this bunch. read more
