My husband and I went in to get 4 new lines. We walked in and we were not greeted by anyone. The store was dead. We sit there for over ten minutes at a high top table, still nothing said to us. Then we see the game is on and sit on the couch, time goes by and still nothing. Then a worker walks by, doesn't acknowledge us so I ask "hi is there anyone that can help us?" And the guy was beyond rude and said "no we're busy" again, it was dead. And I was walking away and he said something rude so I asked what his deal was and he went off. I would give this place a zero. I was duped by these people because they flat out lied about cost and charges until after the deal was done. I received my phones (didn't have them on hand) and found out from the 800 customer service line that what I thght I signed up for was not at all possible. The monthly fee would have been way more than was promised. I immediately cancelled and took forever to get return labels. Even when phones received it still took two callls to get them refunded. Here come hundreds of dollars of fees, for all sorts of things. Phones never used and can not show any use but got charged all sorts of "usage" fees. Their customer service area is a complete joke. Do not walk.. RUN away from AT&T, they have zero customer service people who aren't rude and ready to end the call the second they can't push you off onto someone else. They literally blame their system but have no problem sending bills or adding more charges. read more

Upgraded to Samsung flip phone in August. Screen malfunction 3 months later so I go in. I go into the store and they tell me it's a Samsung issue and not to use warranty. I sent to Samsung and they send back refurbished phone. A few weeks later Samsung sends back broken phone with a $1000 charge to my account. Now I paid $2000 for a broken phone and a replacement refurbished phone. What an absolute mess. ATT people were anxious to upgrade but absolutely useless when I needed help. Tried calling Samsung and got medical life alert Sales pitch...no help also. Now I have to look for a new provider after being a customer since 2002. WOW read more

I was brought into the store to activate a new phone. My phone was the only device in my possession at the time. As a result, I was unable to activate my phone without the support of my phone carrier which happens to be AT&T. Fortunately this store was located right around the corner from the Apple store where I was. I was immediately greeted by a friendly female customer service representative and informed there might be a short wait. After a brief wait, I was greeted by a representative named Kyle who verified my identification before informing me that phone couldn't be activated in the store because they don't have a manager on site. He called a manager or two, none of whom were scheduled to come in. When I asked Kyle what my options were he stated "You can drive to the Mesa location. They are the closest corporate store and should have a manager there". Kyle was unable to call ahead of time to verify that a manager was in fact on site. He stated that he could not call the AT&T 1-800 number or another store because they can't share activation codes. Thinking that I was not understanding him, I asked what my options were and he stated "try Mesa or come back another day". He provided me with the names of who I could talk to when I came back (Thomas or Shaye). I still couldn't believe this was the response. I walked over to Verizon and Cox who both had two managers on site and confirmed that they were able to activate new phones without a problem. I drove home so that I could call AT&T and cancel our lines. AT&T service in the east valley is unpredictable however we haven't switched yet as my family has been with AT&T for over 20 years. Now that we know that this store is unable to consistently service customers without a manager on site and that the next closest store in 20 miles away, there is no reason to stay with AT&T other than loyalty. read more

Absolute Worst Experience To everyone getting Direct TV, DO NOT let an AT&T persuade you to transfer over to their services. They will lie to you and treat you poorly once they get you to agree and transferred over to their services! The deal I was given by Christian Ortega ATT & Direct TV Account Manager was a complete LIE! I was told that I was to get 3 IPhone 15's "ON US" they claim and end up have to turn in my old phones for a credit only. I would have to pay the remaining balance through the 36 month agreement. I was NEVER told by Christian Ortega that I would have to turn my phones or pay the remaining balance! Also they will tell you about a $600 visa gift card I would receive that NEVER was received When contacting Christian about this, he because rude ,condescending and short with me. I then tried to call customer care and was transferred between so many representatives that when I actually got a manager after an hour of waiting on the phone. My option was to wait for a call back within 48hrs. This NEVER happened. When trying to get his supervisor Christopher Ramos involved. Mr Ramos Never contacted me back to help resolve the issue. I was forced to trade in my phones because I had only 30 days to make a decision. ATT will lie and treat you poorly to get business. Do not become a victim like me. I came here to give you $$$ to pay off my phone and upgrade to a new device. I've been the only person waiting since 7PM, it's now 7:39 and I got here at 6:40! The manager is so unprofessional, it's no wonder this location has the worst reviews. She does not give a shit about the customers. Walks in here all high and mighty just chilling by the front desk on her phone and when I ask her how much longer, I've been the only one waiting for quite some time all she says is "I'm sorry about that." The SanTan mall location added a new line or service and equipment cost to my account without permission and without me receiving this device. I was being changed monthly for it and then eventually it was all forced to my bill about $1000. This was in December over three months I went in and out of the store and store manager Luis was either never there or in the back. He said he was going to be corrected and in march still no resolution . When I called the store and did finally speak to Luis the manager after 4 months he was rude and accused me of threatening him but most importantly did not fix my account. Now he refused to help me because I was "threatening" which is ridiculous. He refused to give me his manager info and left me with a $1000 charge I had to pay before my phone got shut off . I spent hours over the last few months on the phone with customer care with no help or in the store and no one was willing to take accountability even though it was obvious not my mistake! I filed a bbb and fcc claim and my account after 4 months was finally corrected of the $1000 charge for the equipment that we never received that I've been paying for. I've attempted to get this feedback to someone with no resolution. Att has no interest in hearing this feedback and making their retail experience better so I will share so other consumers have an idea before going into that store. I've been a customer 15 years and will never buy an att product or service again. And I will make sure I tell everyone about my experience so they are warned. Worst customer service ever. The representatives cannot or will not explain why or how they determine when a person has to make a down payment. My credit score is 866, but they say there is various factors which they are not aware of and cannot communicate to me. They just care about making their sales and do not know what customer service means. The person I spoke to said " I don't make the rules". Such a stupid answer. Help your customers! Transferred service from Verizon to AT&T 12/26/2022. Requested rep in store to add both owners as account holders. Only one owner was added. Said we would have access to online portal after a couple days, a year later we still never had access. Had issues transferring lines, went into store located at 1505 e Warner rd. where rep in store ADDED extra phone line and we did not know. Found out in 08/2023 that we were paying for extra phone line. Requested refund at this time on the phone. Rep got the refund, however, ADDED extra hot spot line. Paid all phones off 08/2023 to transfer back to Verizon because of fraudulent charges. Thought account would cancel because all cell lines were transferred to Verizon, however, hot spot line stayed active. Called 12/2023 to get everything canceled where I found out extra hot spot line was added back in 08/2023. Requested rep on phone to place refund and cancel everything attached to account, found out following day the rep did not place a request for refund, instead placed an order for us to send back phones, even though that was never requested, nor did we need to send anything back. Called again where I requested to talk to manager, rep put me on hold and would never transfer me. Called again, rep said I needed to report issues with global fraud department, said they would transfer me only to find out everything has to be done online and rep just placed themselves on mute and waited for me to hang up. Reported online to fraud department for both reps that added unauthorized services. If I could give AT&T zero stars, I absolutely would. They basically can't help you at all in store and every time you call in, HIGH chance you get an oversees rep. In my case, I ONLY got oversees reps. read more

I walked in on the 8th of Dec asking for info on getting iPhone 6S for a Christmas present for my girls. When they are given a newer, better phone by their mom on day before Christmas, as a single dad, low on funds, I'm scrambling to get my money back to do an exchange. The store manager cares nothing for my situation, and instead, just quotes policy to me over and over. They lied to me, not telling me about the return policy. They knew I needed the gift for a present. I wasn't even going to buy that day, but they were friendly and ensured me they would help me. On day 15, they refuse to talk to me. Christmas is ruined for my daughter as I don't have money to get her something else. :( read more

The service there is awful when you try to switch, they will make you wait days for just a pin and delay things as much as possible. Also when you buy a phone there they automatically lock it even though they never tell you, and the process to unlock it takes up to 3 days!!!! I don't recommend AT&T never!!!!! read more

AT&T and this store in particular are horrible! I finally just switched to Verizon today after over a year of dealing with major fraud on our account and terrible customer service. The first time we had fraud I almost cancelled over it but they promised to fix it right away and give me a $100 gift card. That was 6 months ago and I still haven't received the gift card. We have had 2 more incidents of fraud on our account since. We have spoken to the store, customer service and fraud department so many times. Not one person acts like they give a crap. All I get is "we will have to look into it" LIES!! No one calls back, nothing gets fixed. Its gets worse every time you guys say your handle it. I came into the store in need of technical assistance and was almost near tears because I had to restore my phone, not lose all my pictures and data, and do it in a limited amount of time. During the holidays, things can be hectic! However, when I arrived, Karim was ready and happy to assist and said he was up to the challenge! Karim was very tech savvy and was able to resolve my issues in a much shorter time than I expected! I am truly grateful for his assistance as helping customers goes further than the short time they are in the store. It helped my family as I could return to them in a better mood with more time to assist them. As soon as I walked into the store there were two employees talking to each other, and both appeared disinterested in approaching us or welcoming us. I asked about the bundled warranty/protection package we had, and he seemed confused. He asked if it was an Apple product, which it was, and said just take it to Apple, they take care of that (they won't for an out of warranty product). So then I asked what exactly does the bundled protection plan provide and he sad if it's an Apple product they will fix it. No questions about what was wrong, no customer service to make sure our problem was solved. I went to do a return/exchange for a watch that I bought for my wife. I told them exactly what I was doing and they checked me in and I waited for someone to help me. After about as 10 minute wait I was helped and the young lady was going to help me out and exchange watch. She needed a override from her manager Alfredo but he didn't want to do it and made her tell me to go through the IHX rep that originally sold me the watch. He could of done it but chose not too. This is the type of stuff that they are known for and not trying to help out their long time existing customers. I know they could of done it because I'm a former employee. Kimberly was terrific! I was trying to get an old 3g flip phone (as 3g is being phased out) replaced/updated for my 86 yo aunt that lives 2400 miles away and would be unable to make this happen on her own. Kimberly went above and beyond to get the new phone activated and even made sure the data use was turned off so she couldn't accidently do something with the phone she didn't intend (it's solely for emergency phone calls). All I had to do was update my aunt's contacts and speed dials on the phone and get it shipped to her. Thank you Kimberly for the great customer service! read more

The people at this AT&T store have to be the best, most qualified team of phone experts as possible. I could name names, but all of them worked together to solve an extremely weird issue I was having mainly with an Apple phone and nothing to do with AT&T. Floor management and other employees got involved to solve some weird issues I was having. Extremely professional. I cannot recommend any other AT&T store over this store!!! WARNING!! DO NOT BUY AN IPHONE FROM THIS STORE. We just upgraded my wife's iPhone to an iPhone 11 and bought it at this store. The following morning the phone wouldn't turn on or charge. We brought it back and we're told we now have to go to apple. We went to apple and apple told us to come back to this AT&T store as we bought a brand new phone and if we use the warranty we would get a refurbished phone and apple warranty only allows a 1 time exchange. We came back here and Cody the manager was not willing to help us and basically told us to fight apple on this to sort it out. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. My wife is a nurse (first responder) and can't get calls from work because she doesn't have a phone. Please do not do business with this place. They're customer service is awful. I upgraded my phone. I told the rep I do not want insurance on it and I do not want to pay for their upgrade program. She tells ok no problem. I complete the paperwork trusting the rep did not add this to my account. I review my next bill and both were added on it. I guess I learned my lesson never to trust a sales rep and always read the fine print even if the rep tries to speed you thru the process. Very disappointing. Worst customer service I have ever received at an AT&T store. This store actually makes me want to leave AT&T for good. The last time I was here, I was treated as if it was a privilege to be a part of AT&T and if I didn't like the way I was being talked to, I could go find another service provider. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them a second chance, assuming maybe the manager Sergio had a bad the first time I was there, but that wasn't the case. I waited my turn just like everyone else did, and there were even people leaving before me, because they got tired of waiting. It was finally my turn next, and someone else walked in, who the manager recognized, and he pulled the next agent available to help a guy who literally just walked in the door over me, because he wanted to get a bunch of phones.
