Store completely empty when I went in-not an employee in sight. I was saying "hello? Hello?" Nothing. then heard a door open that was . obviously the bathroom. I dropped by the other day to switch from their competitor to at&t so that I could combine my account with my family's and hopefully save some money. Two employees were just sitting there on their phones. Neither said a word to me even though no one else was there, and didn't look up from playing their games. I asked if anyone could help me. No answer. Hello--I said again. From that point it went downhill. They couldn't help me, wouldn't tell me how to fix the problem, didn't even smile. Pretty awful customer "service." I was treated very poorly, a line was added in order to save me money (not true) , denied a promotion from AT&T, they said they cannot give in store (not true) and after all of this, they refused to exchange a product saying they could not make exchanges or return in store (not true). After much hassle and giving them the benefit of the doubt, I drive across the bridge and another store honored and took care of all of the above without any issues. We went in after Christmas to add a new phone line for one of our children. Getting the phone and line added was easy, but, be aware. Even after telling the sales person I didn't want the insurance, they added it anyway. The only notification I received was on Jan 2nd, when I received an email telling me about the $45 dollars per month for my new phone insurance. I called the store to fix this, but they wanted me to drive in to have it removed. Moral of the story, make them show you the screen before they finish your order. read more

I purchased 2 phones in October and ended up being billed for an additional 2 lines. I finally got the lines removed last week. I have been to the store many times and Kevin the manager is terrible. I had a staff member tell me " why would you want to help her the way she has talked about you" i had never spoke about this staff member negatively and was upset this was said. He was the only in the store that could fix the problem and he did nothing. I have had to call AT&T several times to get this fixed. I have had hundreds of dollars that I had to pay in line charges which I will get reimbursed but they will not reimburse taxes and fee charges. They have a female assistant manager who has been trying to help me but she did not have the ability to take lines off. So I rolled up to this AT&T store this morning at about 6:50 to get in line for the release of the iPhone 4. The line was about 30-40 people long and the store opened at 7 am. The assistant manager, Seung, was outside answering peoples questions, making sure that everybody understood the upgrade eligibility, and was letting us know about their inventory and what to expect for the day. He was efficient and up front about everything. He didn't try and appease people just to get them in the door. Seung was polite and knowledgeable. Props to also handing out lollipops and pens to keep those of us standing in line entertained. I got into the store at about 8:30, which wasn't nearly as long of a wait as I expected. They had run out of inventory on hand at that point, but issued me a voucher that was good for the shipment coming in later today. By 11 am my service rep, Corrine, had called to let me know the shipment was in and I could come pick up my phone. It was clear that they were calling customers in waves so that we didn't end up standing in line again. Corrine helped me get all set up with plan changes and explained some of the new features of the phone and got me out the door quick. Overall, for a day of opening earlier than normal, comparably huge crowds, and some frustrated customers this store's customer service was above and beyond what I would have expected. If you're in the area and need to go to an AT&T store, I highly suggest this one. read more

My family and I were planning to buy new iPhone cases for our phones and parked in the AT&T customer parking area but went into blazing onion first to grab a bite for lunch - some lady who works for AT&T chased after us and totally acosted my wife and kids telling them that she called a tow truck to tow our car away since we parked in the AT&T parking area and she "caught" us heading towards the blazing onion restaurant - she was really over the top and way out of line. What a crap shoot this outfit is becoming ...A hacker broke into the Netgear wi-fi modem AT&T sold me and stole 43 Gigabytes of data in less than 8 hours, overnight, while we slept ! But oh no, AT&T could not see that was unusual ..: what a bunch of idiots they have for call center managers ! 6 weeks later the problem is unresolved and now I must "pay up or its overdue," ... what a bad client I am, huh AT&T? You guys are so smart, and clever, and cunning ! So once upon a time AT&T used to allow the store managers to "retain customers" , ie not lose long term business ... by fixing problems -- I was told that was no more ... But that phantom, no name, no face, cowardly Managers hiding behind cubicles in the Midwest only have such magical powers, promise to call and welch on the commitments that "We at AT&T" make ... But obviously they can see that an $830 bill is very unusual for a client who normally pays $220 a month, a reasonable person would think ... and for a difference of $400 they rather lose a $3000 annual account than miss out on the monthly overage which wasn't even my fault ? How foolish ? ... sorry to say but AT&T's gone right back to where they came from -- that is before they reinvented themselves into a somewhat decent outfit in the last few years. They're right back in the gutters, when it comes to customer service !! 12 May 2016 Update : The total amount disputed was refunded thanks to a barrage of simultaneous complaints I filed with the Better Business Bureau (most effective), Federal Communications Commission (very effective), WA Attorney General (somewhat effective) and Consumer Affairs. A separate legal entity called Legal Foundry, working on a contingency basis, filed demand letters as well. AT&T had no intention otherwise to do what was right. I was having an issue with my phone and the bill. Went to this branch and the associate stayed along side me while calling customer support and made sure all my questions were answered. Additional note was having coverage issues and they directed me to an app that helped make areas of no service. Now in those areas I have service and no issues. read more

When AT&T came out with their $69 unlimited wireless plan, I made up my mind to switch from my Blackberry on Verizon to an iPhone on AT&T. When I was considering the switch, I called Linda at the AT&T store in GIg Harbor and she was very helpful in answering my questions. She was referred to me by a friend and since then I have referred four other people to her. Linda went above and beyond on the day I got my iPhone. I called ahead to let her know I would be in and when I got there, she had everything ready for me. It was the easiest and smoothest cell phone carrier transition I have experienced. read more

Linda is a salesperson. I had a voucher for an iPhone 4 that I finally redeemed a few weeks ago, after attempting to call her and set up an appointment for well over a week (she didn't return a single call), I got the car dealer to give her a call on my behalf. Following that, she did leave a single message. Eventually I found time in my busy schedule to make the 45 minute drive to the AT&T store. The store itself is huge - looked to be 4 people on shift + the manager with ZERO customers. The problem looks to be internet access on the PCs there, but I don't know for certain. Back to Linda - I present the voucher, and understanding good and well that due to limited availability I would have to come back days or weeks later to pick up the phone, she starts to do the computer work to place the order. WHILE she's doing this, the manager comes in with a box that all the sales associates get excited about...including Linda. She excuses herself from working with me and shows up a couple of minutes later with her phone in hand. SHE CALLS another customer (actually a lead - a person interested in a product) to let them know that the store just received 2 iPhones. Long story short, my transaction took about 10 minutes longer than it should have, and I wasn't even offered the phone, as my sale was a done deal. So I asked. Sure enough, the 32GB models that had come in were available, so I ponied up the extra $100 right then and there and got the phone. I figured it was worth it to get the model with more memory, as I'd be saving on gas by removing the future trip entirely, and I wouldn't have to deal with this salesperson again. The staff is very helpful and very attentive! Every time I come in, I am always greeted and someone always helps me find what I'm looking for. I had had a Palm Centro that was dying in a horrible way and was looking at purchasing a new iPhone, but wasn't sure if the 3G or the 3GS was right for me (price wise). A sale associate immediately came out from behind the counter and stood with me discussing her experiences and professional experiences with each phone! After a few minutes, she advised me to purchase the 3G. It was nice to have a sales associate not pressure you to buy the latest and greatest if you really don't need it. She found discounts for me without me even asking to look, and she put on my screen protector for me for free (included the screen protectors for free, that is). I highly recommend this ATT&T location if you're looking for an honest store! read more

I have the worst customer experience in my whole life here my wife came in to buy two phones from the store we ended up buying them from the other gig harbor location within 2 minutes aventurine store the sales person was condescending rude and hostile toward my wife she asked very simple technical questions that he didn't have the answers toafter spending roughly 5 minutes with the sales person who couldn't stop looking at his own tablet and became irritated with the questions she asked he actually began trying to serve people who are behind us asking them if they wanted to look at the phones that we were currently looking at no mind you I spent less than 5 minutes with in the store. I have been an AT&t customer for several years my whole family has used this store consistently I will never return to the store again once again this is the worst experience I left there feeling insulted angry for the way he talked to my wife and disappointed at the level of technical expertise displayed by their staff. read more

The staff here are always nice, attentive & spends the time with me to figure out my needs. I made the mistake of buying a Pantech Duo online without consulting anyone, but only reading reviews. It was a horrible phone & i was spending a lot of time at this at&t store trying to figure out how to fix it. They helped me get a new phone free of charge & even consulted me on which phone to get that ended up being perfect! Every time I come in, I'm greeted immediately & leave feeling like I was well taken care of. The only down side is that I feel they are understaffed most of the time, but maybe I'm coming in at particularly busy times, who knows. read more

Knowledgeable, pleasant, and when we had a problem with my wife's phone, she took control, and after considerable effort, solved the problem. The only reason why I'm even giving 1 star, is because of the only associate, helping me and my fiance..... Horrible manager that was there. Telling us she cannot do anything for our "past due" account balance, because her "Daughter" (the associate that gave my money for the bill payment, to some "collection agency" that 611 never even heard of) did nothing wrong. Also, said she couldn't touch our bill because my fiance is an employee?? Then, charged us $94 more, due to being late because the associate messed it up?? Wow, I understand and believe in family, but you should maintain professionalism, and keep work and family out of a workplace issues. Completely unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, criticizing, and favoritism is in that store. Unfortunately, the amazing associates that do work there, have to suffer. So, unfair! read more

Has anyone else been scammed by att is this way?? My wife had to go to the Philippines to attend a family funeral so I called our carrier (at&t) and asked for a temporary international calling plan for the two week period that she would be there. They sold me the international day pass calling plan which is supposed to be $10.00 a day unlimited use. We now find out, ten days later, that the Philippines is not covered by the plan they sold me after being clearly told that it was the Philippines we wanted the coverage for. My wife and I have been checking in once or twice a day during this time. We now find out that we are being billed toll rates for these calls and NOT $10.00 a day. Our bill is over $500.00! This is a fraud and a scam. I intend to get rid of at&t as soon as my wife returns. I am also reporting them to the state attorney general and the better business bureau. read more

I was in this evening to have a replacement phone setup. The phone was an insurance replacement that had not been configured correctly. Sure enough, they were able to get it setup correctly. Wow, I just experienced the WORST customer service ever! This was my second time visiting the Pt. Fosdick location and I won't be back for a third. In fact, I'll be doing what I need to go back to Verizon. I made the switch to AT&T two years ago. Not much savings to deal with rude sales staff. Once you are locked in to their services, they are not helpful or kind. My statement and billing was not explained well by sales staff on the first visit. You will not get any advantages to upgrade your equipment without signing up for other services other than phone once you are an existing customer. Very unhappy. read more

I have been lied to many time! Beware. The last time, they told me I should do a transfer into my name since I'm military and would get a military discount. Of course, that sounds like a no brainer-go for it. Now that I've received my first bill after doing the transfer, I received an $18 charge PER PHONE! Customer service said if I would have done the transfer online I wouldn't have been charges those fees and they can't reimburse me for those charges now. All they can say is "I'm sorry you weren't told these charges were going to be made but we can't reverse the charges". What a crock! This isn't the first time either, there are others but this one broke the camel's back. I'm not going back--ever! I will be switching companies all together and I've been with AT&T for over 12 years. read more

Let me be blunt and say that I hate going into cell phone stores. I always feel that I'm being harassed even when I politely say that I don't want or need any help, that I'm just looking. Well my experience at this particular store was no different, but so bad that I was prompted to write a review about it. My husband and I walk in and the door was being held (very nice) by an employee/sales lady who immediately asked what we were looking for. I reply with a nice, but firm "just looking." She backed off. We're in the store for not even five minuets when this sales guy comes over and asks what we're playing with. My husband for some unknown reason decided to indulge him and then they immediately get into an argument over the phone and its features. This guy was rude for lack of a better adjective. He then proceeds to start talking to me while my back is to him. When he came up I never even acknowledged his presence by turning around. I had no intention of buying a phone today because I have a few weeks before I can upgrade. I even told him that after he keeps talking to me. I just wanted to actually play with a phone and not a dead display. My turned back I think is pretty clear to any smart human being that I don't want to talk to you and that you should go away. He finally does after saying "that if we have any questions to ask because he's bored." We stay in the store for another 15 minuets or so which I guess is not ok unless you're going to buy something because when we left we didn't get a goodbye or thanks for coming in. Just mean sales people staring us down. When it is time for me to upgrade my phone in 2 weeks I'm going to Target where the prices are way better and the sales people are way nicer. read more

I had a hard time even giving them one star after what they pulled on me. Went into the store about my poor service at my house so the assistant mng took my phone and changed my sim card. Well the next morning it locked my phone and it took me hours to get it unlocked. Very painfull when you don't know what you are doing. Any how the next day went into the store to explain what it did to my phone and the store personel laughed at me. Very unprofessional in my view. went in to buy a new phone and upgrade my plan, they had a promotion for a Moto X $100 dollars. While purchasing the phone I was told it would be even cheaper if I went with a certain plan so I did. I get my bill and am astonished by an incredible savings of minus $450 dollars, instead of paying $100 dollars cash for the phone like I wanted to I got bamboozled into the financing plan where I pay the entire price of the phone $550 dollars. I went back in there and told them I wanted to pay the $100 as advertised but they very rudely told me it was too late I already signed the contract! read more

We just moved to town and needed all sorts of things. We happened into this store near closing time simply to get my son a new phone and ended up with so much more. Dez and her manager Shastina were exceptionally patient and great listeners. Through casual conversation they recognized we were on the wrong cell plan, and could even save more than a $100 a month if we added Direct TV. Seriously, no high pressure sales techniques. Just patience and conversation. It was a breath of fresh air. For a week I did more research, and then came back in to add Direct TV well as the AT&T security service. Moving to an unfamiliar state, knowing no one, can be rough. These folks were gracious, informative and so incredibly helpful. I can't say enough great things about my experience with this store. I wish all my service interactions were this smooth! AT&T should consider allowing new associates to job shadow at this location. read more
