I had the worst experience of my LIFE coming to this AT&T location. My brother and I went to this location a few days ago to start a brand new phone line each and had a terrible experience with one of the sales reps. Just so everyone knows, this sales reps fist name is DAVID. There are only about 3 reps that work at this location so it should not be hard to run into this guy.. and I will suggest never to work with him and probably not to go to this location at all as a whole. However, there was a manger by the name of ELI who was a gentleman and did an excellent job straightening things out after all the damage DAVID had done..
Now let me quickly get into what exactly happened.. so my brother and I started up fresh new billed phone lines each. DAVID was the rep who assisted us. First of all, he had us write our personal information down on a piece of paper (SSN included, that made me uncomfortable). I have done billed plans before at other locations and they usually have me manually input my personal information into their tablets when requested. That was the first red flag.. we where making small talk and DAVID was a very funny guy who seemed to throw out cheap shots and slick responses to things we would talk about. That was completely unnecessary and instead of me confronting him about it, I remained professional and just wanted to get the process over with.
After he turned on my service and I was all ready to go, he then proceeded to complete my brothers service. He made jokes about my brothers hand writing and my brother did not like that and told him that his jokes was not funny and let's just get these bills done and no more small talk. LITERALLY 2-3 mins later, DAVID goes and says "oh it seems your 'application' did not go through". We where shocked and confused because we where not financing any phones were there should have been an application with approval odds or not. We where only simply opening new phone lines and had our own phones so we where lost and confused by what he was saying.
At this point, we confronted him and asked him if he tampered with the application because of what my brother had told him about his bad jokes and slick remarks. He swore that he did not do anything. He looked like a big fat liar and this made us furious. However, we remained composed and silently walked out of their establishment.
We not long after went to a "corporate" location where they apologized for our experience that we just had at this other location which so happened to be a "authorized retailer" location. The corporate guys said that it is pretty typical for authorized retailers to be very unprofessional and they always hear complaints from authorized retailer locations. They then proceeded to EASILY set my brother up with his billed plan, although mr. DAVID claimed my brother "could not make an account in their system" for reasons he could not explain.
Because of all the fishy feedback I was hearing about the authorized retailer, I asked the corporate guys to please check my billed plan to see if they had did anything they shouldn't have to my account. Come to find out, DAVID did in fact charge me for a more expensive plan then of what I had requested. This made me furious!!!!
The next day, I went back to that authorized retailer location to speak to the manager. Thank goodness the manager had a good head on his shoulders and he straightened everything out, fixing my billed plan to what it was originally suppose to be. Again, this managers name is ELI.
In conclusion, I have NEVER had to go through an experience like this my LIFE EVER! This process was suppose to be short simple and sweet. I would suggest to anyone reading this to NEVER go to this location, but if you have to, do not deal with DAVID. DAVID has bad intentions for people and who knows how many people he has done this too. I would also advise, please only go to CORPORATE locations. AUTHORIZED RETAILERS have a bad reputation and can be unprofessional. I was almost not going to write this review but I just found out this morning that DAVID also did not put my correct email on my profile.. so now I am left no choice but to throw him under the bus. This about wraps up my experience and I hope this can help anyone deciding on a good location to go start their AT&T service. Have a good one guys and be safe out there! read more
