I had to get my laptop screen fixed. I thought it was a water damage, but it was a cracked screen. The man offered me two different prices for a refurbished screen and a brand new one. I went with the refurbished screen for $299. It was ready for pick up within 3 hrs. When I picked it up, he informed me there is a scratch on the screen and took $20 off. I was very satisfied with the repair because it was quick and efficient. read more

I had a not-that-old gaming PC experiencing sudden, random restarts for more than a year. After exhausting all efforts to fix the problem, including paying Micro Center $45 for them to tell me they couldn't do anything, I decided to try an indie shop. No appointment needed. I just brought my desktop to this little place and was told to jot down my contact info and a brief description of the problem. That was it. It took not 24 hours to get a phone call from the guy who informed me that my PC was essentially a dud, and that I'd be better off buying a new computer. Obviously not the answer I wanted to hear, but I appreciated his honesty. No charge for the assessment; no attempt to convince me to spend hundreds of dollars for replacement parts. Just the plain, hard truth (something all-too-lacking in America today). His parting advice was to go for an Intel processor instead of AMD next time. This guy is My Guy from now on. read more

There's a reason why there are no places rated this highly and there's a reason why this place is rated so highly. I spilled coffee on my Macbook Pro and it wouldn't turn or charge up. Saw this place and dropped it off. Fortunately, they were able to fix it at a reasonable price by the next day. Unfortunately, they might have been able to do it so quickly because their business had waned because of covid. So if you do have any repair needs, they're quick, have great service, and are reasonable in every way. read more

Found this store through google review. Then Came here with the hope of having my MacBook Air (2019) fixed from water damage. David did a quick assessment and then texted me the quote of repair cost. Once I confirmed, he repaired the MacBook on the same day. When I came for pickup, David spent almost 40 minutes with me to explain patiently how to fix some basic problems. It is like Apple Store's One on one tutoring, but at no extra cost to the customer. David is incredibly honest and generous and his price is very reasonable! This is definitely the store you should go if your MacBook fails to work. I highly recommend this place for fixing your Apple products. read more

Great friendly service. Fixed my Lenovo charging port issue within days. Easy to work with.

My computer unexpectedly failed on me and could not find a solution after several hours of self diagnostic although I consider myself pretty knowledgable when it comes to tech especially computers. I found Neighbor Computer Services through Yelp and took it to the shop. David listened to my concerns and reassured me that he can fix the problem. I got my computer back in an hour and David gave me constant updates as he was working on my computer. My computer was up and running when I walked in and David went a step above and improved the cable management of my PC. We talked about computers when I came to pick up my computer and I could tell that David is passionate about he does and that customer satisfaction is very important to him. His prices are reasonable and fair for his superb services. He also offers warranties on his work! He also does more than repairs but also builds custom high end PC's so go check him out. Overall, I'm really glad that I brought my PC to him. read more

I found this gem of a store when I was looking to get my laptop fixed. I had issues with it booting up and I had called the manufacturer for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, my warranty was up about a month before my computer started to have issues so they suggested I go through their services which was a bit too complicated and uncomfortable for me to go through. I had some trust issues when it came to letting others fix my electronics because of some bad experiences in the past but this store was closest to where I lived and had good reviews. The owner was professional from the beginning and knew what was wrong with it right away. The laptop had a malfunctioning hard drive and he told me in layman's terms that manufacturer's usually install cheaper or weak hard drives so that it typically dies within the year and we'd have to get new ones. I had purchased the laptop in 2018 and had issues with it in 2019, so that definitely seemed about right. The price was extremely fair and it was a lot less than what the manufacturer had told me. He suggested that I get an upgraded hard drive with more storage but wasn't pushy about it. He laid out all of the pros and cons and clearly laid out the prices for the regular fix and and upgraded fix. I ended up getting the upgraded hard drive and I haven't regretted that decision ever since. My computer is faster than before and he graciously added additional programs such as openoffice and 7zip, which I am extremely grateful for. He assured me that if there are any issues after I take it home, that I can bring it back and he'll figure out and fix those problems free of charge. That just showed me that he was extremely confident in his work. Service was very fast and it's clear that he knew what he was doing. Definitely coming back here if I have any tech issues! Highly recommended. read more

This is a very reliable business with great service. I recently brought in my Lenovo x1 that stopped charging due to water spilled into the thunderbolt port. Although the initial repair didn't completely fix the issue, David was very patient and responsible. He took my laptop back and looked into the issue again. He then ordered additional parts without charging me anything extra and ultimately resolved all issues. I would definitely recommend Thai to anyone who needs computer repair service. read more

This guy is the real deal. Most shop owners ive met are sleazy, not Dave. He knows his customers want good service but are also want to save money. Electronics are not cheap. If you go in your garunteed a good technical analysis. I went in, got a free diagnosis and didnt go through with repairs. Even weeks later I text him about the issue and he answered back with a paragraph and a picture to help me out. He didnt have to do that. One recommendation: even if you don't purchase repairs, drop a solid tip, the guy deserves it. read more

I brought in my laptop for a diagnosis. The owner did some repair for me. However, he still thinks the laptop has some hardware issues and doesn't encourage me to keep it. He refunded all my repair money and without charge he even helped me back up data and transferred it to my external drive. It's truly a community computer shop where the owner wants to help and provide reliable & honest business. I will definitely recommend the service to friends and family. read more

The person at this store helped fix the broken hinges on my laptop. The actual MSI computer repair service would have charged me $65 just to look at it, but this shop didnt. They were very nice and reasonable when it came down to the price, and got my computer back to me within 2 days. I will be coming to this shop whenever I need more repairs. read more

I found this little store through a friend's recommendation after my iPhone's screen cracked. I have an iphone 6 and it cracked through the side and branched out into an artistic tree shape, but sadly, the whole screen needed a replacement. I got there a little past 6 pm on Friday and David was helping another customer at the time. By the time it's my turn, it's like 6:15 pm and the store usually closed at 6:30 pm. David took a quick a look at my phone and quote me the price to replace the screen, and I asked how long it will take (or did I need to come back to pick it up), and he said about 30 min. He didn't even bother to mention that he stayed after closing time. So I went near by to check out some Asian bakeries and a supermarket at the meantime. By the time I am back (about 15 min passing their closing time), my phone is fixed. David even took time to tell me what kind of case to get and what kind of screen protector to get to protect the screen and offered a really good deal for the screen protector and informed me about the warranty information. Excellent custom service and no extra charge for the express repair, too. They have a discount price for iphone 6 and the price is much cheaper than a quote from a phone repair stand at the garden city mall. read more

I dropped off my old dell laptop & the guy called me after 2 hours ! All done, tuned up & reinstalled windows just for $55. Isn't that amazing? Service by David was great. Just a tad impatient. Went in for keyboard replacement on my very difficult to repair just over one year old Acer laptop. Received parts quickly. When I went home, my laptop would not charge. David fixed it for no charge and worked overtime after issue was found to be on motherboard and not battery, charger, and charging port. Highly recommended computer repair shop. Took star off for the impatience (but understandable since he is great with computers) and the amount of times I returned after only expecting easy keyboard replacement (perhaps bad luck). read more

Like all the reviews said, David is a stand up guy, brought my 10 yr+ old Sony vaio laptop in, he analyzed it and told me he could fix it for about $250, but honestly wasn't worth fixing a i5 first gen laptop with motherboard issues. He even recommended certain other replacement laptops I could buy and as a cheaper alternative buy the base model and he could upgrade the hard drive for cheaper then sales cost on websites/stores. His no service = no charge policy is legit. read more

Very honest place!!! Honesty is the best policy! David explained to me my options on how he could repair my old 2012 Macbook Pro. He also gave his expert honest opinion on which options would be better for me since my laptop is an older model. I really appreciated his customer service skills and the way he always updated me on the status of my laptop while it was being repaired. Overall I had a great experience here and my laptop is in A+ condition because of David from Neighbor Computer Services. Thank you!!!! read more

I showed up at David's shop with my ailing MacBook Pro a couple of hours ago. The power connector had become flakey, making it a roll of the dice whether our machine would wake up or not. David grabbed a tweezer, and pulled what was apparently a piece of a paper clip out of the computer's power connector. Now the supply cord plug seated immediately and securely. David didn't charge me a dime. He could have taken the machine and kept it for a while, saying he replaced this or that costly part in a long, drawn out session of delicate computer surgery. Despite my years in the computer industry, I would not have known better. What great service from a really nice guy!! read more

Really solid and honest service. Had a lenovo yoga 920 that wasn't charging, David explained that the issue was the charging chip, and instead of switching out the entire unit for a lot of money, he just rewired it to a different usb-c port for much cheaper. Also has a good warranty, and gave lots of really good advice on how to protect my computer and tips on what to look for in a new laptop, not to mention he does all diagnostics for free! Definitely recommending this place to everyone I know! read more

Very honest guy. Took a desktop and a laptop for repairs. Checked both without charging and told me both not worth repai.

David is top notch, and provides quick service. I brought in my sick custom desktop and David worked hard to resolve the issue. Neighbor Computer Services 162-13 46th Ave. Flushing, NY deserves the highest review and genuine praise. Master Technician David Wang helped me recently in replacing an old PC whose display had failed with a newer machine, with a new hard drive, perfectly recreating the older system with all its function and much improved speed. He told me he would only charge a fee if he could succeed in this task which demanded really high level skills to overcome many software and hardware problems. My total cost was so low as to be a fine price for excellent attentive work. It is hard to accurately state how excellent his service was and how skillfully he helped me in a timely way. Years before, he had done another great job with a hard drive. I tried to find him but did not succeed as the company moved but somehow my best choice on line turned out to be him. I give him the highest recommendation. I am sure his integrity, skill, humane values, and technical ability will serve any one in need of his help. read more

My laptop died about a year ago. RIP. When I turned it on, no flicker, nothing, just a black screen. I could hear the hard drive spinning and knew it was hardware related and not software. But last week I needed files that I remembered was on there. I was in panick mode and luckily a google search pointed me to the Yelp reviews for this place. I brought the laptop in the morning and told them that I needed the files asap. An hour later, they called me and told me that the mother board was shorted, but, they could recover my files from my dual boot system Linux and Windows). I brought them my seagate usb drive and in another three hours I had my data. It would have cost 200 dollars to replace the mother board on a 3 year old $250 laptop, so, no brainer. Cost of file recovery was $65. Very grateful, so, gave them $80. They gave me my laptop hard drive back so that I can smash it and magnetize to ensure my data can't be stolen. I feel very confident that they handled my data confidentiality, meaning no spying and no copying for nefarious purposes. Just a small plug for them. They do fix phones as well, so, if you have an ugly broken screen, they can do it cheaper. read more

Great friendly service! I have a 7 yr old laptop which worked fine until my lovely wife spilled wine all over my keyboard.
