They sell appliances, but then it's up to you to get it installed. They have a modest installation fee of $275 to check for fit, and install a $3,700 24-inch Kitchen-Aid double wall oven. That's two separate appointments. No one reads installation instructions. If the cabinet needs any modification, such as wood blocks to fit and support the brackets for one of the 80-pound wall ovens, they do not make those modifications, or they depend on the installer to do so if he wants to. The wood blocks will not be wide enough, so the bracket will only be attached with half the screws. The 80 lb second wall oven will be placed on the insufficient bracket before the face plate is attached so a hole is left between the ovens.\. The brackets will not be plumb so the face plate will not fit. Double stick tape will not hold it. No special equipment to carry the heavy ovens, so God help us all. Kitchen-Aid has no recommendations except Angies list... Do all people in Queens know how to install their wall ovens? Is this the Twilight Zone? PC Richard Boris can not understand why I am dissatisfied with their service or why I think I deserve a refund of my $275. Store manager Sarah does not answer me back. I have been coming to this location for years. No problems ever. A few weeks ago we needed a new vacuum cleaner and John Pina assisted us very well . Very happy with this. Yesterday we needed a new dvd/blu-ray player and asked for Mr. Pina who gladly helped us. I am not good with technology and Mr. Pina took the time to explain how to hook it up with great patience. Next year I know we're going to need a new computer and most likely a new TV as well and this is the sales rep and location we will go to! We have a fridge from PC Richard. It stopped working during the heat wave. They told us it's under warranty. We had to throw all our food out. No fridge. Took over 2 weeks for a service person to come repair it. He did not. He said it needs compressor. No word from PC Richard. I called them 4 times. The latest? They've decided to repair it instead of letting us get a new fridge under the warranty, but they don't have parts, don't know what date they will come in and no date to when a technician can install said parts. All this in the middle of July, with a family of 5 including small kids. Still waiting for a supervisor to call me back, after calling them for 3 days. read more

Pay close attention to your installations! They subcontract out to installers who have no idea what should be done. They didn't come with proper tools and made a huge mess from an AC installation! Two new ACs installed a few months apart. Two months later, mold smell from both. Weeks later, I also found my one wall ACs has lots of water collected at the base. The other one, I couldn't see the back as I am on the third floor. There is visible rust in the unit where I can see from the back. The mold smell is overwhelming. I am also coughing, have phlegm and beginning to have skin rash! Something is definitely wrong with installation. I will demand to have them replaced and professionally installed. This post will be updated if PC Richard will do the right thing to correct the problem! * I prefer waiting for the professional installation than having a clueless installer to come in and waste my time and money not to mention the potential damage of my carpets with water leaking! The service guy came. Evaluated the two ACs. He said these ACs are how they supposed to be installed. I suppose to spray 409 or Fantastic on the coil/grids to get rid of mold. STAY AWAY. Bought an ultra quiet a/c unit that had an obvious high pitched squeal and brought it back within 24 hours for a replacement. First the front door manager pretended he couldn't hear anything, then said they all sound like that. Then he pretended it was an old model. It was plugged in an running on the sales floor and we went to the displays to listen to other units and possibly upgrade. Five minutes later the floor manager comes over to say he can't resell the machine because an accordion piece is missing. WHAT?! There's NO WAY that piece was missing when we brought it in. How do you even get them out? We were gobsmacked that he, or that he had someone, sabotage our unit. I have spent thousands at PC Richards (albiet a different store) and never in my life could I imagine something like that. We begged him to just give us the piece back and we would go. CRAZY. Now we have a machine that makes a high pitched noise AND we don't have the accordion side piece. I hope the next up manager watches her store video bc she's got dirty employees -- but then again, it might have been her idea. Per the signage, 109 years of honesty, integrity, and reliability. Let's hope it is...from my experience here on several visits, I'm a happy return customer for sure. I am always approached by friendly salespeople and everything is laid out - classic showroom style so that you can touch/feel/and peruse to your hearts desire. Came here twice in one week - first time was Thanksgiving weekend to check out the "Black Friday" prices on the refrigerators. Those were located on the second floor - at least 14-20 fridges on display so that was neat. I was able to see them side by side - specifically the counter depth sized fridges. I did all my initial research online, but nothing beats seeing things in person - need to touch and see the appliances first hand to ensure I know what I'm buying. Note: they do match competitor's prices (which they advertise this), you just have to show them the ad. While I didn't buy the fridge on my first visit that weekend, I did return the second time to close the deal. On my second visit, after visiting other competitors, I was ready to buy "the fridge". I had the pleasure of working with "Barry - The Old Guy" (hey, his name tag said it, I didn't call him that) on this return visit. He was absolutely a Saint and very helpful with the refrigerators. We walked in thinking we will decide between the final two...just needed one more look. Barry did one better, as I found a third contender. He took each sales tag and looked up the specs, freezer ratio vs fridge and so I had more things to compare instead of just the usable cubic feet and relying on visuals. In the end, we picked out a Frigidaire. I expect delivery next week (my choice) even though it was available this week. :-) Side note: the competitor stores I went to were not helpful and the inventory was the same. Bought a dishwasher. Installer scratched up my floor and passed it off in his report as existing damage. I was working from home that day for the 2nd time to accept delivery because the first model they ordered for me did not fit (I gave them the existing model in place for a size comparison). I happened to miss the damage upon initial inspection because I was absolutely swamped and couldn't look at every detail at that EXACT moment. PC Richard is now denying liability because I reached out to the store on this instead of customer service. What burns me the most is the installer lying about the damage on his report. NO INTEGRITY. In fact, there is a reason why every appliance in my home from vacuum to high end kitchen stove was purchased at PC Richards in Bayside. Simple, Great Customer Service and solid price. I just last month purchased an expensive but small Samsung TV from PC Richards and all of sudden it just stopped working. I called and spoke with the current Store Manager, Camiello, who again exceeded my expectations as PC Richards customer, and provided outstanding customer service in resolving my issues with the recently purchased TV. Today it's impossible to find retailers who retain their original customer service values and stand behind their products. We quickly asked PC Richards to remove it, and we would pay for a better model. PC Richards refused. They said that once an appliance is installed they will only take it back if it's broken. WHIRLPOOL DRYER EMITTING A BURNING SMELL. 3RD UNIT IN 5 YEARS. PC Richard needs to stream line the appliance replacement process. I am need of a replacement for my Whirlpool dryer . This will be the 3rd of 4th unit since I originally purchased it in 2015. This is not including the numerous repair calls over the years. I understand that there is a process to all of this. I can't try to schedule a repair call until Tuesday because of the holiday tomorrow. Then it will be weeks until that appointment. Then the repair person will come and look. Of course will not have a part. Another 2 or 3 weeks until that part and then waiting for a new appointment. Guy comes with part. It either works short term or not at all and then someday someone will come to say I need a new unit. That will go up the chain. I usually need to follow up or it doesn't get done. We are now probably 6 weeks down the road from my first call.On top of all this, I will be laid up for medical reasons and will not be able to lift or carry laundry to the laundromat for 4-6 weeks. I realize that is not the store's fault, but I will be unavailable for all these appointments. Please, please just replace the unit. How do I know all this? Am I a fortune teller? No! I am an unfortunate customer who has been down this road with PC Richards far too many times in the past 5 years. I respect that businesses need a system. On November 21, 2019, I purchased a Samsung 55" UHD 4K Smart T.V. The price including delivery was approximately $875.00. The set was delivered and set up on a table and turned on. It worked properly. I turned it off, and approximately 4 hours later I attempted to turn it on and there was no sound. I played with it, and suddenly, for no reason, the sound came on. I have been through this intermittent problem 4 times since Saturday. I called P.C. Richards, and apprised them of the situation. Their solution was to send out a tech to repair the problem. I reiterated that the problem was intermittent, and they simply repeat themselves. I asked what they would do if the problem doesn't present itself when the tech is there? No answer. I had the solution. Send me a new set that works properly. They refused. I now have to wait for their tech to find no sound and I don't know what will follow. read more

Even though I knew about them, but haven't utilized their services until Oct 2021 when I moved to a new location. I bought 2 Whirlpool washers, a dryer, March 2023 bought an LG refrigerator, just June 2023 bought a small chest size deep freezer. I'm so disappointed that both washers after 1 year each have broken down. I've thrown them out bc I forgot to renew the warranty. The person who came to fix it said for the parts n labor you might as well buy a new one. Then the deep freezer thawed my food instead of freezing it. I took it back to the store right away only to find out they don't reimburse you. The salesman asked me to get a new one. I refused. They gave me a store credit. I'm praying that my new refrigerator which cost me ALOT will keep up. After these situations I'm afraid will not shop there anymore. I'm quite saddened by this. I almost bought a TV from them. First I want to say I've been a customer for maybe 15 years + and never had a problem with purchases and the sales ppl there (5stars for all those experiences). This time I bought a new dryer (arrived broken) didn't work thinking my old house electric was the cause had to call electrician and he pointed that it's broken. Call Samsung the maker they brought out tech and confirmed so call pc richards and now they have to get their inspector to double check. It's broken another couple days go by and now I get a new dryer (that's not broken) and of course my electric trips again... call electrician and he takes the below pic... the installers put the wires in the wrong place... this could have completely messed up my house electrical or caused a fire but luckily just tripped the box). So in summary I couldn't use a dryer for about a month paid extra fees for electrician to come to my house for a problem caused by the company... and yea I just spoke to a manager about it and got his apologies. I told him to make sure their installers knew how to do their job correctly...... They first informed me it would be delivered on Tuesday, then the next Saturday. Then the product was damaged in transit and I WAS NOT INFORMED that this happened. PC Richards will make ANY excuse to NOT fix your appliances. Based on other reviews and my experience; it appears they try every imaginable tactic to delay you until you give up. I purchased an LG refrigerator from PC Richards in 2018 WITH an extended warranty. So i should have no issues if it breaks right? Wrong. Fridge completely stopped cooling on 7/15. I scheduled a service appt online (which they suggest) and had an appt scheduled for 7/20. The initial time frame they give you is 7am-7pm so you have to plan to be home all day. They updated it the night before to 8am-12m. At 9:30 am the day of my appt (and during the arrival window) they called to tell me they're cancelling my appt for some unknown reason. After complaining, they called me back and said they would send someone. The guy they sent spend less than 2 minutes in my apt and did not look at my Fridge. He immediately said I need a new compressor and they would have to order it . He told me that this wasn't his service call. That night i got an automated call that the part was in and to schedule the next appt. I called back and they said they did not have another Service appt available until 7/27. The 1st appt was useless so I was hoping that would be the end. Nope! Was given a 1-5pm time frame for the 7/27 appt. At 4:45 after waiting around all day, I called PC Richards, waited 15 min to talk to someone. The person i spoke to said "umm looks like your appt was cancelled" and put me on hold for another 20 minutes. When she finally came back she said that my appt was canceled because it was a 2 man job but was scheduled as a 1 man job so they apparently thought it was fine to cancel and not even call me to tell me. The customer service Rep was horrible because she wanted to yell at me for being upset that the company is horrific. Literally should not work in Customer Service as the correct reaction would to be emphatically apologetic for the ridiculousness and bad service I have had to deal with. Another customer service rep, Abby, called back and said they could offer me an exchange, although I would have to pay the difference between a new fridge and what i paid for my current one. I tentatively accepted the offer without much confidence that my issue would actually get resolved. She said she would call me back within 15 minutes to confirm the exchange. Did she call me back? Nope. PC Richards obviously does not care at all about their customers living without essential appliances for weeks or months so they deserve no customer loyalty. They also do not seem to care that they are not fulfilling their obligation under the Service Agreement/Extended Warranty. So now im only left with the option of buying a new Refrigerator from someone else and filing suit against PC Richards for failing to fulfill their Service obligations. Oh they also apparently do not have an email address for their legal department or that is what Customer Service told me. read more

Bottom line: I wish I would've researched more on the company I was buying from. I came in looking for a washer and dryer set. I wrote down the dimensions of the space I had available, the size of the apartment and the overall side details needed. After asking alot of questions (general and specific) my parents and I chose the LG washer and dryer and it was scheduled to come as the renovations on my apartment finished. The washer and dryer was delivered, but was promptly taken back because it didn't fit. It. Didnt. Fit. After all that time asking if it was okay for that size and these dimensions, it doesn't fit. So we go back, wait around for a few hours for them to fix this issue. They recommend us the Bosch ductless washer and dryer set. Honestly at this point we should've just left and never came back, but we trusted them to make it right. This one was delivered and within probably the first two weeks every single person that came over my apartment noticed a drastic change in overall humidity. (Which would've been really nice to know before dropping a couple grand on it) why wouldn't you tell me that for this size apartment, the humidity and the fact that it's ductless MIGHT be an issue. It just might not be suitable for that environment. Was that such a hard thing to say? The humidity would've been such a big deal, but it's created so much damage in NEWLY RENOVATED home. Let me just say, I spent 4 months calling customer service on both company ends and nothing was solved. absolutely nothing. They had me going in circles, for what? Just to tell me, yeah it's not our problem anymore. I was so frustrated I started looking online for the reviews this company has and it is very sad to say, but I'm not the only one that has had very bad experiences with this company. Check any website other than their own. It felt like once they sold me an expensive washer and dryer set, they turned their backs. The job was done.
