We we're having extreme difficulties setting up a new phone online. We went into the Coos Bay store and Kit the store manager went above and beyond what a regular employee would do. AT&T online technical department gave up on helping us. Kit worked with us for about an hour to overcome the problems we were experiencing and managed to solve our problems for us. It was much better dealing with a real person than trying to explain on the phone. We highly recommend this store to help you out. thanks for a job well done read more

I went in to the store today with my Galaxy S9 to upgrade. I tole the associate, Mike that I didn't want to spend more $ monthly, so what could I upgrade to. He immediately went to the Samsung Galaxy S23 and explained that with my trade-in, the phone would be free. Great! , I said...he said, "pick out a case and screen saver", which I did. THen, when I sat at the desk, he asked me if I was a pre-paid customer - yes. "oh" he said - then you do not qualify for the trade in. On & on this roller coaster went...I told him I was a 40 yr retired Registered nurse...he said, "well that will help a lot!!!" Then he asked if my license was still active, I replied, " no". Then, again - no deal...finally Mike and the other man working with him said they could not help me unless I could pay $20 more/month. I would leave a negative star review if I could. Anyone else interact with "Thomas"? Hostile, miserable human being. Went in Christmas Eve morning to resolve a SIM card issue. While patiently waiting in line, I overheard him tell the customer he was currently helping that: 1.) he had been in the industry for 7 years 2.) he was in a much better mood than the last time the customer had been in 3.) this isn't even his job -- that he has emails and things that are more important (*This will be important for context.) A few minutes later another customer walked in and sat down at which point "Thomas," clearly flustered yet unprovoked, said: "Alright, be patient! I'll be with you as soon as I can!" No one was being impatient. I was looking at my phone and the person in line behind me was busy looking at various phones on display. It was my turn to be helped and "Thomas," first, accused me of disabling my own SIM card -- told me he sees "this level of incompetence all the time." When it was revealed that was, in fact, not the case through diagnostics, he then suggested my SIM card had been disabled by a "vindictive" individual. Thinking out loud, I questioned how that would be possible as I'm on a family plan. He then accused me of arguing with him and starting laughing and mumbling under his breath. Being on a family plan, and not the primary account holder, I had to contact my folks for necessary account information. "Thomas" told me to use the landline and gestured in the direction of the phone -- at which point it began to ring and he interrupted himself to say: "after I'm done with it, because I have to do everything here." From what I could determine from the one-sided conversation I was privy to overhearing, it was an elderly person looking for assistance. "Thomas" was nothing short of condescending, suggesting they "try googling" before providing a patronizing example of what a google search might look like. So much attitude. So much tone. He finished and I was able to place my call. He interrupted me while on the phone asking if he should just explain the situation, rolling his eyes. He had asked for the last 4 digits of my folks' SSN prior to the call, then asked for an account PIN number while I was on the phone. He had clearly miscommunicated to someone without 7 years of industry experience, who didn't understand what he was asking, and rather than explain, chose to be combative, unprofessional, and rude. So I complied, telling him I'd appreciate his assistance if he didn't mind fulfilling that job. He then told me if I "keep talking like that, you can walk out and have no phone." At this point I REALLY just tried to placate him so we could resolve the issue and so I could move on with my holiday, "Thomas" free. We were able to resolve my SIM card issues and send me on my way, but not before he threw my phone down on the table and VERY sarcastically, and through gritted teeth, told me to "have a nice day." I have never had a more hostile or unprofessional customer relation experience. I was a paying customer trying to resolve tech issues during the operating business hours and was met with nothing but contempt. I have already filed a complaint directly with AT&T, but haven't heard back. This specific retail location has a solid 1-star review and I suspect the fish rots at the head. AT&T corporate told me this was an affiliated retailer, but not directly within their jurisdiction/corporate unity. They offered to connect me with the regional manager to file a direct complaint, which I suspect is the role "Thomas" fulfills. I never heard back. Garbage person. Garbage service. This ATT store is a prime example of how NOT to succeed. Waited a good 20 minutes while the ladies chatted and purposefully ignored me then told Me that they could not install my screen protector because I had gotten it at another att store, not theirs. I've been in here before and swore to never return and now I remember why. The store manager will just wander off when the store has a line of people and it's purely a bad experience each time I have come in over. The years . I know the next store is a ways away but I'll take the time to go somewhere else in the future, you should too! read more

They sent my technologically inexperienced mom off with an extra hundred dollars of accessories and the newest most expensive I phone. She loves her phone, but they pushed the most expensive screen saver they had on her. "Lifetime warranty!" They bragged. No problem to replace if you break it. Then they pushed her out the door, didn't tell her to register the protective glass. Of course when it inevitably cracks they say, "there is nothing I can do "and made her feel stupid for coming in. Kalee went way above and beyond to straighten out my account with AT&T and merged my wife's account and added my daughter plus upgraded 2 phones and transferred my phone to my daughter all the while dealing with a grumpy old man (me) and two dogs my 15 year old daughter and my bride. Hard to believe that when you are buying $1000.00 iPhone you could be treated so poorly and rude. The ladies, I am using this term lightly, were extremely rude and down right UGLY. Changed to AT& T about 4 months ago. Purchased 2 phones plus added mine from another retailer. Got great service, very happy. Went in today to correct a billing issue to find out these super nice people there really screwed me. Here's my view. I went in to do an insurance claim on one of the new phones that had a cracked screen. Since the phone wasn't paid off, the girl said I had to mail it in for the insurance. She stated if I paid it off I could get a replacement in store however. I paid off the balance and they took the phone with the cracked screen and never gave it back. We accepted the replacement phone which I thought was refurbished. She went over what we were doing, replacing the broken phone and I signed the tablet. I confess I didn't read what I signed, I trusted that what I thought we were doing, as she explained to my satisfaction, was on that tablet. I left there thrilled, she made it so easy, what a great phone company. I'm sure glad I left the other carrier and gave them my business! Well, what she said is not what I signed. It turns out it was a new contract, for the same phone I just paid off, and now evidently I purchased a new phone, not an insurance exchange. So, they were slick. They got me. They lied to me, kept my old phone (3 mos old) just paid off, and got me to pay for same phone twice. You just can't believe in any business anymore. So sad. Their staff there was awesome, or so I thought. Nope, just another business screwing an elderly old lady. I can't believe they got me. I am posting this as a warning. DO NOT TRUST THESE NICE PEOPLE!
