I called another Verizon store and they said it was up to the discretion of the store to charge for sim cards but the store I called only charged 5-10 dollars and that the prepaid phone I bought would not have worked with a sim card at all because it was total by Verizon. So, they were going to let me buy a sim card for a phone that they physically saw the box for because I brought it with me into the store and another store that literally just talked to me over the phone let me know that I was almost scammed.
