We have had pretty good experiences with the two AT&T stores we have gone to recently. We went to the Eagle River location and received excellent information to move forward in adding devices to our account, but they didn't have the actual devices on hand, so we went to the Tikahtnu location a couple days later. It was somewhat busy but we were approached immediately to get us on the list for assistance. About half a dozen people ahead of us and we wandered the store, waiting our turn. The gentleman that helped us was quick to get us squared away, did some set up of new devices and we were on our way. My mom and I went in to get some assistance with transferring a tablet to a different account, I was told by the phone AT&T people to go into the store. The worker we spoke to seemed disappointed we didn't go there to buy anything, interrupted us before we could finish explaining, and told us they "don't do that here," and to call the AT&T phone number or look online or something other then them helping us walk through the process. The worker sat back down and didn't even tell us goodbye. Very rude, unprofessional, unhelpful. We had to figure out the process ourselves. My mom has been an AT&T customer for 23 years and has never dealt with such rude service before, but that's in the lower 48 so I guess it's difficult here. Very disappointed, I won't go here to buy anything and I don't recommend anyone to go here. read more

They totally messed up a recent business transaction with me and my family. When I went in 3 times to address certain issues they acted pretty damn evasive - sending me to their telephone operators and then the operators sending me right back to this store. So when subsequently pressed they became rude: unable or unwilling to answer simple questions. So worried their little share of my money would be taken back or something, god only knows. Be advised you are not dealing with the sharpest pencils on the block. Also be advised i was nothing but polite throughout the whole process, even gracious. Of course this is probably a foreign language to these cave dwellers. So the thing is put up with their dumbassery or get the heck out of their stupid and smelly store. But lets face it AT*T does not attract and retain quality employees, more like the kids that didn't bother to get educated and move on to do better things. I've no faith that any of the sales staff really know much about what they are selling. It's a grift. They are hoping their customers are just as dim and unaccomplished as they are. I would pass on this place if you have alternatives. The names of the employees have been omitted to protect the guilty but i will be writing a substack detailing everything. read more

Customer service is hit or miss...but in my opinion more of a miss. There are long wait times and some times they don't even acknowledge that you stepped into their store. The young man that helped us provided with different suggestions and helped answer some of our questions. However I gave this 3 stars due to good customer service today, but I am still holding grudges from the frustration I experienced on my previous visits. read more

Went in on a busy Sunday with a broken phone and ready for an upgrade anyhow. Chambers, one of the associates there, walked me through transferring all of the data from my broken phone even though the screen was unresponsive. Lesson learned, never would have walked in if I had checked yelp first. Customer service agent that greeted us was friendly. Said a couple people in front of us, no problem. The actual agent we received to help us was neither friendly, helpful, or competent. No help at all! I bought a phone, a few days later the phone started messing up. They couldn't answer my questions, or assist me in any way with this new phone, purchased from them. So they said well looks like you need to go to a different location to deal with this issue. Great answer thanks for nothing! Went to AT&T today after attempting to get service with GCI. After meeting with Nakeaya I decided to go with AT&T. Nakeaya was very informed on plans, deals, policies, discounts, available products and more. He went above and beyond to help my wife and I. No matter how seemingly dumb our questions were. Went in yesterday to try and set up a new prepaid phone. They called their customer service line like they always do. The operator needed them to verify my acct. There was SIX representitives in the store with only one other customer in the store. When I asked if one of them could help me real quick, they ALL looked at each other asking "do you wanna do it?" Seriously?!? Get off your lazy a$$ and do your job! They had ALL just come out from the break room as it was. Not impressed at all. read more

Long story short, Husband bought new phones through the NEXT program at Sams club back in Nov. Our returned phones took 2 months to process and sent back and while we were spending countless hours back and forth from AT&T phone customer service getting nowhere. The wonderful workers at this AT&T store went above and BEYOND to help us fix this ugly and disasterous situation. Both Sasha and Mel did their absolute BEST to make sure our accounts went back to normal and I couldn't thank them any more for salvaging what started to seem like an extremely poor situation. Well when you step in you instantly get attacked. And as I desperately needed a new provider when I came to Alaska low and behold AT&T was their to pave the way. Dude talked me into an IPhone 6S (of course) even tho the IPhone 6 is the same but way cheaper. I don't care you gotta make a living somehow. And I got AT&T NXT so I can always upgrade for hella cheap. Oh oh. AT&T has great service in Alaska too. Alright das it. Place is whatever. Nothing makes me feel worse than walking into a store and being completely ignored and that happens to me a lot here. I'm giving three stars though because when you actually do get someone's attention they're usually pretty knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. However, I walked in today for something quick and simple, planning to buy an Apple Watch and add it to my plan but ended up leaving with nothing because I was completely ignored by several employees. I do like everyone I've interacted with there, I just wish they'd pay more attention when customers are walking in. read more

First and Foremost, I will recheck the address to make sure this is the store but I am positive it is. One star AT and T that's all you get, and if I could of given you none I would of done so. My contract was up and I was due new phones, we went to the new shop all excited talking about what phones we may want. When we got there, we had to sign in and wait for a "Customer Rep", I should of just talked with a freaking jackass, cause the outcome would of been the same. We got a young and aggressive POS rep that was all excited about helping us until he realized there would be no commission, our new phones were to be free, and we were continuing customers. Talk about an attitude change...jerk ass creep said "The free phones are over there", pointing off into some direction, when we said we would like some help with information on the phones, he sighed really loud and huffed...So I got pissed and I puffed...I thought the little creep was going to crap himself, when I asked for the manager he said it was him..we left..on the way out we saw that Best Buy had AT and T products. We went in there and explained what had just happened...Richard said join us...with a smile, as their were other folks who suffered the same attitude as us, and since Best Buy was an affiliate, they were now making a killing...Best Buy took care of us, even with a complaint form for AT and T!!! We ended up with the Samsung "Flight", and I think it is a kick in the butt! :) Also...Best Buy bills AT and T for customer assistance by the hour....I stayed 3 hours....:) Screw At and T's Shop...thank you Best Buy! read more

Great service!!! It has been the best location for customer service for me! I have gone there 3 times since November and it's always good!!!

I went in and spoke with Hannah. I was interested in signing up with the GoPhone 6GB plan, but Hannah told me that as of this morning, that plan was no longer available. There is only a 4GB option and I should get the Unlimited plan. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yes" she said, "that plan doesn't exist as of today." (Confirmed once I left the store that the plan is 6GB and does exist). Then when I came back in, Hannah told me I wouldn't even be able to use my phone in Canada at all using that plan. AT ALL. Just doesn't work. I need to get the Unlimited plan, she said. When I asked why it shows on the site that there is roaming, text, calls in Canada on the 6GB plan (and showed her the ATT site) she backtracked and said she had a customer who said there isn't service in Canada. I understand that sometimes people aren't trained properly or that sometimes they are just trying to make a sale, but is it necessary to lie to the customer? We expect the ATT reps to be the expert, but if they are just going to lie, how does anyone get what they want walking out of the store? read more
