This store location feels huge! It looks well kept too. I came here to have some cards made. Much of the staff was helpful but something was just missing. I'm sure the gentlemen at the copy center have their share of stress and possible boredom, and it shows. It seeps right out! One gentlemen just looked so burnt out when greeting me and it was so half-hearted. Waiting just consisted of awkward silences and me wondering what to do or if I should be at another part of the counter lol. But seeing how stressed they were I just overlooked all this halabaloo. Point blank, the friendliness was eh but my cards came out fantastic and they worked with me to make sure it looked like a great finished product. I'll definitely come back when I need more made, but those poor fellas need a break because they clearly looked stressed out of their minds. read more

This location seems large and somewhat empty inside, but it has all of the office supply stuff you are looking for - printer cartridges, paper, light office furniture, cleaning supplies, stationary items, etc. I didn't need any printing services and was able to easily find the items I was looking for in the clearly marked aisles, but I only saw one employee in the whole store (granted, it wasn't busy). read more

Was just in this store to get some help selecting a black and white laser printer....I asked the woman at the store front for assistance and she sent me Zack, the Tech Manager....thank you Zack! Awesome service! Found out I did not need a new printer but the correct connections to hook it up to my computer and new modem/router. He also offered their phone or in-home service. Over there at 130pm, and he ONLY purpose was to send one five page fax. That was IT. They can't do it - they're "understaffed", so they WONT send a fax - and they tell me they don't know HOW. Wat. Ok - "can I send the fax? I know how to operate these new fangled machines after all..." Yeah - I send my own fax, to Seattle area... TEN DOLLARS. What the actual eff? Office Depot online orders uses a bait and switch philosophy. I ordered a desk TWICE. Each time they cancelled it, with no notification, no asking about a substitution. The first time I called, and was reassured that the item was in stock, in another color, which I would have taken in the first place. I was assured that it would ship to me, no problem. Of course it was cancelled again. No nothing from company. I called again. Similar pitch, oh I'll see what we have in stock. There was of course the same desk I ordered. The man said he would try, but couldn't say for sure if it would be sent without delay, or if it was already sold. The only items they would guarantee would ship in the next 48 hours were $300 more. Seriously the online store is very dishonest, offering items that they do not carry, promising equal items in exchange, then just telling you they only have much more expensive items for you, but not the one you selected. Front cashier rude. She didn't listen so I had to repeat myself quite a bit. i never received discount on item I bought because she couldn't figure out how to complete it on the register. As for my change, it's nice to have it thrown on the counter instead of putting it in my hand. read more

I worked at for this company a LONG time ago and at the other Anchorage location and thought I would know what I was doing. I was wrong. Michael really made this experience for me. I'm a teacher and came in for a planner. I finally found the one I wanted and it was just over $30! I suppressed my urge to cry out and instead politely inquired about discounts or something for teachers and learned about the rewards program from Michael, who helped me sign up and get to earning cash back on my purchases (teachers spend more of their money on supplies than you probably care to hear about). He was super informative and helpful. Michael should move to Hawaii and be my Office Depot guy there :) if nothing else, management should give him a pat on the back for being fantastic in a store of employees that barely glanced our way. read more

i just bought a printer and needed additional supplies. It was late and almost about to close but I couldn't tell because of the attentiveness I was getting. I was greeted by a young man named Lawrence. I asked if he would assist me in getting my printer from my vehicle at that point he spoke with the night Manager Preston which also greeting me with a smile . Normally I don't shop at night in that particular area but I'm grateful I did...the service from Lawrence and particular the Shift Manager Preston was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, personable and perfect! Because the treatment I received was excellent and going beyond customer service I will come again! EXCELLENT SERVICE Preston- great leadership to your employees. The cashier was in more of a rush to get back to scanning items in an isle than helping me. I had two large notebooks and she did not even put them into a bag. Normally I would not care but I clearly have an arm in a sling and don't have full use of both hands. As the receipt was printing she was leaving the cash register to go do what ever she was prior. Terrible Customer service. I made an order. They verified my address with 3 different phone calls (in which they had the wrong address and i corrected them). I was told that the address was updated and i would receive my shipment as planned. When I called to inquire why my order didn't arrive I found that (1) they hadn't bothered to ship it yet and (2) they still had the wrong address on file after verifying it 3 times during the ordering process. When i asked fort he order to be corrected and sent to the corrected address (if it had been shipped on time it should have been in the right area, just wrong building number) it should have been an easy fix to reroute the order and i could have received it in a day or so. Instead of a simple fix, the order had to be canceled and re-ordered. This pushing it back another week or so because of an error that i was promised was fixed. I'm very frustrated with their customer service and resolution team. read more
