Few reviews are probably tougher than one for a gift shop in a town you've lived in for 10+ years. I came here with my Mom so she could buy postcards and other goodies for her grandkids. They have a decent mix of the two things you are apt to find in downtown Anchorage gift shops: 1) Wildly underpriced goods (magnets, t-shirts, bookmarks, wall art, etc.) made in China. 2) Very spendy items (soaps, salves, syrups, carvings, etc.) made in Alaska by Alaskans. This is my Mom's favorite downtown gift shop. The clothing and stuffed animal sections here are particularly massive. Though you aren't going to find any technical/pragmatic/outdoor clothing, this is all chiefly gear to let folks in the lower 48 know that you've been to Alaska. If you're a local, the advantage of going here is to see all the various Alaska-made goods in one place, so you can go patronize those individuals and companies directly. read more

Pretty good souvenir shop with lots of things available! Price is decent with some things being a little on the pricier side and others being a bit cheaper. There seems to be something for everyone here. Spent about $200 on things for ourselves and the family to take home with us today. The ladies who worked there were sweet. If your looking for anything that has anything to do with alaska this is your kinda place. So before I came home I did lots of shopping for shirts and other trinkets to bring home. Stumbled on this place after touring the Federal building. I like it here. Ever souvenir you can think of and then some. Plenty of items on the clearance rack. Most of the other items are reasonably priced. Wide selection, too. There's a small array of native made products like pottery and jewelry. Plenty of short and long sleeved t-shirts. Decent assortment of sweatshirts and hoodies, even stickers for your guitar case. The people are super helpful, too. read more

Cheezy Roadside attraction souvenir shop...cheap cheap cheap...lots and lots of it...perfect for what it is. We stopped by here to load up on little gifts for people back home that were watching our cats, dogs, checking our mail, etc...maybe some of those relatives you don't really like that much. You could do better elsewhere and you'll spend a lot more money in those places but you'll appreciate those items more because they'll last longer and be something you'll treasure because you connect them to your entire experience...anything you buy here will likely be in the trash or Goodwill within a year. We had some time to kill in Anchorage before we headed to our cruise boat. When I walked in I thought, 'oh great, another tourist junk shop'. I was wrong, it's got something for everybody. Great place to get souvenirs (4-5 stars), customer service is dismal (1-2 stars). Was the only costumer in the store and there were at least 4 employees walking around. Not once did someone ask if I required assistance. Had some great photo ops if I had my family present. Enjoyed the significant clothing section and trinkets on the other side of the store. Pricing is fair and cheaper where there were equivalents to the Cabin Fever location. In fairness to Cabin Fever they have finer items, other review for them to follow. Definitely a good stop for folks looking for the touristy souvenirs in Anchorage downtown. read more

Huge assortment of Alaska souvenirs. They had some locally made items too. Large assortment of styles and sizes.

A lot to choose from and prices are reasonable. I bought a t-shirt that is silky soft and my husband bought a sweatshirt, both reasonably priced. I bought a moose coolie cutter that was a splurge at $20. Also some wild blueberry tea and earrings. A lot to choose from. Cashiers were friendly and efficient. We found this to be the greatest place to find the souvenirs we were looking for. We were in search of nice quality T-shirts. The store carries many Comfort Color shirts, both short and long sleeved. The selection of shirts here was the best we found. The prices are competitive and on par with others in the area. We also liked the selection at their smaller store, down the street on the same side called TJ's shirts. It's smaller and super easy to shop. read more

Yes, you would think this place is way touristy and in the Summer you would no doubt be correct. But, in the Winter it is a whole different place. I love to go here in the Winter. The girls that work there and fun and happy. If you are using a credit Card be sure to bring your ID. If you have a dog this is the place to buy Alaskan Yummy Chummies. Your dog will love them. They are all natural, and even the pickiest dogs will whine for Yummy Chumminess! There is really a lot of cool things to choose from in this store, in the Winter it is more relaxed and you can look around at everything. It is nice in the Summer as well, just a bit crowded,which is fine. They do have a lot of nice things to buy in here. I know I have done my share of shopping here over the years. read more

One of many of the tourist traps in downtown Anchorage shopping area. I thought that they had the best selection around and the store is very nicely kept and the items neatly displayed. This store felt more upscale and tidy while the other stores felt like K-Mart. I didnt think the prices were any different and the sales girls are all very friendly. This place is a decent place to spend tourist dollars. I did. My dad collects license plates and since he's in PA, I figured getting one from AK is right up his alley. I also got some postcards too. The girl that worked there was super nice and loved my reaction to discovering there's no sales tax. I went there the last day we were in Anchorage hoping to get all my souvenirs since I read there was a good selection of various items sold there. I got some salmon jerky, birch syrup caramels, and birch syrup. I was shocked at the register that the 3.4 fl. Oz. bottle of organic birch syrup cost $17! So I was curious when we were at the airport I wanted to see what the price was for the same syrup at the gift shop. It was about $15 there. It's only a couple of dollars difference though I could have gotten another magnet. This store does have a great selection of various items like magnets, knick knacks, t shirts, etc, but you can find those things in most stores and at the airport gift shop. Good place to go for those Alaska holiday gifts. Yes it is terribly touristy, but sometimes that what you need. And the selection here is great. I went to several stores looking for a shirt for my dad (he's a little particular) and couldn't find anything until I came here. There were lots of shirts to choose from. And the price points here are decent. I wanted to get my grandma an Alaskan fleece blanket and here it was $26. Across the street at Cabin Fever it was $90. Wow. Sure the quality is probably better at Cabin Fever but regardless the disparity in price was significant to me. read more
