Woow. Soo, I ordered a set of 3 new SATA drive cables from Amazon ($7.99), but they won't get here…read morefor a week. I figured, let me drive down to Geek Pantology real quick and see if I can get one there (I really wanted to hook up a new hard drive I bought over the weekend). I had a decent experience there before, so I was somewhat surprised at the abysmal service I experienced today. First off, the sales associate (and I use that term very loosely) seemed bothered to deal with me - not a great way to make a potential customer feel. Anyway, I ask if they have any SATA cables and he pulls out a dingy-ass old box of HUNDREDS of SATA cables from old computers. Price? $3.24. Seriously?! In my head I'm like, "Whatever." But he wouldn't sell it to me because I wanted to use my debit card! OK, I know what some readers may be thinking. The business will get changed a fee (let's say $0.25) for such a low purchase amount in addition to a small percentage (let's say 5.0%) on the sale and they'll lose money. Except in this case, the fees would be less than $0.50 in this case, still making $2.76 off an old dingy SATA cable. Let's say you have 400 cables in that dingy-ass box. Do you think you're going to make $1,300 because they're selling like hot-cakes? Do you expect a rush of customers coming in to empty your dingy SATA cable inventory? If it were me, I would have allowed the debit card purchase or just tossed the customer the dingy old cable for free. Create some good will and keep a customer happy. Instead, I waste a trip, risking life, limb and COVID exposure only to be sent home with no friggin SATA cable! I'm never setting foot in that place again. I'll drive to TROY before I go back to Geek Pantology. Dude, you may be great with technology (an unproven assumption), but your business sense and customer service skills leave much to be desired.

He called me back and said that I had the wrong charger cable which I had been using for months and never had a problem. Purchased a new one from him and was told I was all set. Got home and found that the keyboard and mousepad did not work. Brought it back and he called me next day to say it fixed. Got home and the mousepad still didn't work. Had to bring it back a second time also that it would freeze or shutoff and had to be restarted and anything I was working on was loss. Called to say it was done, when and picked it up when I got home I noticed that the disc drive was missing, called and told to bring it back again, told him the issue with it locking and shutting down. He made some changes and said that if the didn't work it would have to go to level two. There was none of these issues before he started to work on it and now after numerous times trying to fix whatever he did wants me to pay even more money to repair what he broke. I rather buy a new computer because whatever he did I don't think that it can be undone. The worse service I have ever had. And why should I pay again for something the he destroyed.

A quick search yielded these guys who were along our route, and we made the quick stop. And were the first ones there when the doors opened that morning. Don't let the location or look of the shop fool you, these guys were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They had a pretty good product selection - I got my used iPhone 7 at a good price (it looked almost brand new). And the counter guy even helped me switch SIM cards, and made sure everything was working to my satisfaction. We were in and out in 20 minutes, and continued along our drive without missing a beat. Sadly, we don't live nearby or I would be a more frequent customer. If you live in the area, then this should be on your list of handy resources for your cell and tablet needs. Keep up the good work guys.

Not long before closing up shop sometime in March 2019, I had my iPhone battery replaced. It was $79.99. Within a month, something in my phone starts rattling around. A short time after that the phone had issues accepting the power to the form the lightening cable. I called Phone Wizard who I discovered had gone belly-up. So I took it elsewhere. These folks opened up my phone and told me the following: "Your battery is is barely connected by a tiny power cord to the rest of the phone. That's what rattling around. Also, whoever put the battery in gave you a used battery that was literally glued in place." Totally unacceptable. I had to pay $60 for another (new) battery because the good folks at Phone Wizard seemingly had at best had no clue what they were doing, or at worst willfully screwed me over. Shame on these people and their business practices.

They didn't carry the exact item we wanted and Christian proceeded to tell us about upgrading options for our phones and internet. I was about to shut him down since I have been subjected to the hard sales pitch in the past from other similar enterprises, but something about Christian's attitude kept us interested He gave us options for upgrading our phones, which we weren't interested in, but then he started explaining to us some Internet options since we are currently with a competitor and he had mentioned he could do much better than their pricing. I must say that Christian was great to deal with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing he was not into the hard sell. He clearly was looking for ways to help us reduce our cost for service services. We listened to what he said, and agreed to a trial run, which he said would be at no charge, which I found extremely interesting. He then gave us his personal cell number and said if we had any issues or questions he would be glad to help. Christian made this a personal experience rather than a corporate shoving it down your throat experience. If everything works out as he explained it would Verizon would get a new customer for Internet and if it doesn't work out as he said, he mentioned that he could easily reverse anything that had been set up without us receiving any bills for it. So far we highly recommend Christian and this particular branch of Verizon. Hopefully everything he discussed will prove to be accurate but at least for now we are quite happy with his presentation.

I brought my 2018 Tahoe in for what should have been a straightforward audio-related job--upgrading and properly routing power and ground wiring for my system. Instead, this turned into a much bigger issue. After picking up my vehicle, I immediately started experiencing electrical problems that were never present before. My voltage was dropping dangerously low, my stereo system began cutting out, my amp failed, and even unrelated components like my fog lights started acting inconsistently. When I brought the vehicle back, instead of taking accountability, I was told my amp was bad and ended up purchasing a replacement through them. I was also advised that my alternator might be the issue--despite my Tahoe only having around 66k miles--so I spent additional money replacing that as well. None of this resolved the core problem. To make matters worse, when I scanned my vehicle myself, I found multiple BCM (Body Control Module) faults that appeared after they worked on it--something I never had prior. I've made multiple attempts to resolve this directly with them, including reaching out again today after being told the owner would speak with me. Instead, I was told he was unavailable and "getting on a plane," which felt like just another excuse and more runaround. At this point, I'm left with a vehicle that has ongoing electrical issues, money spent on parts I likely didn't need, and no accountability from the shop that caused the problem in the first place. I strongly recommend anyone considering this shop proceed with caution. What started as a simple install turned into a costly and stressful situation with no resolution.

These guys are true professionals, knowledgeable, and committed to providing superior service. I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.
