The company knew I was in a spot with weakest signal for their service, but never told me.

My husband said we were interested and would like details sent to our email so that he could have time to compare pricing before ever agreeing to anything. They then called to schedule an installation appointment. We said we did not order an installation. They asked again if we wanted their services. We said at this point no. Then they called again to schedule an installation. We again said we did not order one and we would definitely not be ordering one in the future at this point. Then they called AGAIN.to confirm our installation appointment and said it was scheduled for the end of the week. We said we did not order installation or any service, that they needed to cancel. They said we had to call management to cancel or go online. We went online. There is no cancellation option. You have to call. We called. They said they had no order. Okay fine. Figured it was done. They showed up this morning for installation. It took calling three different numbers to finally get ahold of a manager to cancel an order we never made. The guy who showed up to install has said this has become a common tactic amongst their sales reps to try and get people to just comply with signing up. That is downright shady, inappropriate, and qualifies as harassment. We will never sign up for spectrum in the future if this is how they treat just potential customers.

Their service technicians have been amazing. They are knowledgeable, reliable and frankly the best part of the entire company. Customer support reps are short term contractors (high turnover by design) who have the knowledge of they prompts they are given which are greatly disconnected from the regions they take calls for. I've had two calls with them for trouble shooting the intermittent service we were getting. Both calls lasted a full hour and both gave advice that contradicted what the technicians said after they came out to resolve the problems. One told me to get rid of my coaxle cable and a technician would run a different cable to fix the problem free of charge. The technician came out and was blown away that I was advised to get rid of it and he had to wave the charges for the install. I won't continue this saga with further examples and details, but please know there is more. It's been the worst experience and has me thinking that I should be able to invoice them for all of the time I have spent working on getting the service to run properly, scheduling and being available to technicians and for the wild goose chase of trying to return the equipment to non-existent stores that are still listed as valid addresses. Your time would be better trying to get milk from a duck than getting this service to work.

GETTING HERE:…read more Located in The Collection in Oxnard. It's relatively near the Target and a hop, skip and a jump from Five Guys. REVIEW: it's retail. It's Verizon. It's busy. It's crowded. But, even with all of that, if I am acutely aware that you appear to hate your job and the people (customers) associated with it, then you're doing it wrong. #SorryNotSorry First-timer to this location, and I was quickly reminded why I hate the retail Verizon stores. I fully intended (hoped) to walk out with a new(er) iPhone this day. But, that wasn't in the cards. From the female employee I was "assigned" to, I was given one-word responses, indifference to my questions, and the list goes on. Ugh. In the end, I left with my v old iPhone in hand and realized I will have to figure it out myself on the .com. This will be fun. I'd suggest a hard pass, unless you have a lot of time on your hands to wait for "help" from one of their associates.

They just had me call customer service and I was on the phone for almost 2 hours for a mistake they made. The day before they had asked my sister to have us come in person as we were the account holders . Lies . We got 3 new phones . Nothing off accessories as the old days. You get an amount off your phone but have to give back you old undamaged iPhone to them. Since there's not competition, there's no real deals to getting a new phone as there once was. They can't help in person not have to use the app or call. Gone are the days where you could actually be helped by a human. I don't see the point of this place if all they are going to do is frustrate you even more and direct you to call.

In the past 10 years, the internet only went down once--and that was during a windy day back when we were in Rancho Cucamonga. 3) The internet speed is always fast and stable. 4) Their tech support is helpful and easy to reach when we need them. I am aware that I am the first person in history to leave a GLOWING review of a "cable company",…read morebut here goes! My internet stopped for no known reason last week. Since I couldn't look up the help number, I just drove to this location. It was well staffed, despite the crowd of customers. A pleasant guy, Jason, came up almost immediately and advised me that it might be the modem. He said to come back with it and they'd switch it, and to ask for him. I drove home (10 minutes), got it, and came back. Jason was "in the back" (lunch?) but a nice guy named Jonathan immediately grasped what was needed and issued me a new modem. Time elapsed: another 10 minutes. I was as pleased as could be - until I got it home and properly set it up, then logged in to initiate. It made me issue myself a security passcode - six times in a row! I wasn't doing anything wrong! So I called the support number and...was on hold for only a few seconds before Damian/Damien in Texas picked up, handled it, and I'm happy as can be. I have NEVER had a more PLEASANT experience with any internet provider! They've obviously upped their game, probably companywide, but for certain in Oxnard. THANK YOU to Jason and Jonathan. Five stars to you both!

Absolutely terrible customer service…read more We've been Spectrum customers for 9 years and have visited this location many times. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've experienced poor customer service here, but we've always let it go and given them another chance. We had to come in for a new physical SIM card because of an issue on Spectrum's end. For the past 2 months, we've had an open ticket after a random phone that doesn't belong to us was mistakenly added to our account. Once Spectrum finally began resolving the issue, they told my husband to visit the store for a replacement SIM card. After the new SIM card was installed, his phone completely stopped working. He couldn't make or receive calls, send or receive texts, or use cellular data. We scheduled the very first appointment available, which wasn't until 4:00 p.m. We came in as soon as we could. While we were in the store, we were also on the phone with Spectrum Customer Service trying to activate one of our watches. The representative on the phone was incredibly patient, kind, and spent over an hour and a half helping us until the watch was finally fixed. We truly appreciated her. The experience inside the store was the complete opposite. The employee helping us was polite at first, but once he couldn't fix the SIM card issue, it felt like no one wanted to help anymore. My husband simply said, "This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to buy a new phone just because of this." Without anyone even speaking to her, the manager--a shorter woman with short hair--yelled across the store that we couldn't trade in or buy a phone because it takes over two hours, that we should have come earlier or made an appointment, and that they were closing in 20 minutes. I repeatedly explained that we did make an appt as soon as one was available, and the earliest opening was 4p.m. She ignored what I was saying and just kept repeating, "Not my problem." When we briefly considered getting a new phone, we even showed the staff that the next available appointment online was also around 3or 4p.m., just like ours. If the process truly requires over 2 hours, then why are appointments still being offered that late in the day? That makes no sense. Honestly, if you're reading this and thinking an appointment matters, based on our experience, it really didn't. The store was nearly empty. There were 4 other representatives, including the manager, standing around at their desk while walk-in customers were being helped as they came in. If appointments are required or are going to be used as an excuse, then they should actually serve a purpose. She also told us if we wanted help, we could go to Best Buy and see Geek Squad instead. Hearing a Spectrum manager tell paying customers to go somewhere else because she didn't want to help was incredibly unprofessional. Every time I tried to calmly explain the situation, she interrupted, raised her voice, and continued repeating that it wasn't her problem. Eventually my husband became frustrated and raised his voice as well. While he later apologized--which was the right thing to do--I honestly don't think she deserved one. I normally believe everyone deserves an apology when things get heated, but she was never respectful, welcoming, or warm throughout the entire interaction. As the manager, she should have been the one setting the tone and helping de-escalate the situation, not making it worse. Instead, she continued threatening that she didn't have to sell us a phone and that we could leave, even though they weren't actually helping us in the first place. I'm honestly not sure how someone with that attitude is in a management position. Even the Spectrum Customer Service representative on the phone overheard the interaction and commented that the employees were not speaking to us appropriately. She also mentioned that every Spectrum store should have staff who can assist customers with technical issues, not just sales. If you're in Oxnard and need to visit this Spectrum location, I would recommend going somewhere else. The manager's attitude was rude, dismissive, condescending, and completely lacking in professionalism. A manager should lead by example, de-escalate difficult situations, and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had here.
