My daughter treated me to a mother-daughter day and chose this Russian nail salon. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and welcoming.
I arrived first for our appointment. We had booked services for two people, but because my daughter was running a little late, I was told to start without her. I had specifically requested that we sit next to each other so we could chat and spend time together, but initially I was told no. I didn't want to argue, so I let it go.
When my daughter arrived, there was an empty station right next to me, yet they tried to seat her at another table. My daughter even said she wanted to sit next to her mom. I understand it may not have been the nail technician's decision, but I feel the staff could have been more accommodating, especially considering the prices they charge. In the end, they did move her next to me, but only after we asked again.
As for the service itself, the Russian manicure technique is definitely different, but I found it somewhat painful during the process, and my fingers and toes were still sore after I got home. We both got manicures, pedicures, and chrome. Unlike many traditional nail salons, there was no massage or foot soak included with the pedicure.
The technicians were generally nice, except for the initial refusal to accommodate our seating request. Overall, I found the prices extremely high for what was provided. While the salon is clean and the work may appeal to those who like Russian manicures, I personally don't feel the experience was worth the cost. read more
