First of all.... I did a lot of research for movers in the Gallatin, TN area. I lived in a two bedroom third story apt and was moving to a two bed room third story apt in a new complex less than a mile down the road. Pricing around this area was crazy! Sumner movers were very rude and even quoted Me over $700 dollars and said no one would be wanting the job because of the stairs. I'm a teacher in the local area and my significant other is manager over of a retail store - both educated (I say this because I was talked to by sumner movers like I was poor and uneducated until the owner realized I worked with a family member of His). We are on a budget like everyone else :). Anyways .... I was very skeptical About hiring anyone In the area we didn't know. We found these guys on groupon and instead of making the purchase I researched Info and called the business and they agreed to honor the groupon price. After booking them a friend of mine on facebook boyfriend has also hired them for a moving job and had some scheduling issues and was unhappy. I called the business and expressed my concern. She insisted that they were handling the issue and because their apt was in the evening and jobs before there's ran much later than expected they had to reschedule. After discussion we decided To go ahead and use them .... But asked for a Morning apt to ensure there would be no scheduling issues. Later in the week my coworker said that they ended up getting the dates fixed and the actual move went really well. (Made me feel much better!) Anyways.... Our actual moving day (2/21/14) went much better than I could of ever expected. The called me when they were on their way (as requested) they showed up early. Both men were very friendly and professional. They discussed paperwork and begin working. I stressed to get the big things first because if push came to shove we Could move the smaller things ourself. After the encouragement of my boyfriends after I shut my mouth and let the professionals Do their job :) ha. They wrapped all of my furniture - two bedroom sets, living room set, wood fire place, and kitchen set.... Plus moved 20 or so boxes. They finished within their four hours (load, move, and unload down and up 3 flights of Stairs) and even started putting Together my bedroom sets. They would of finished But I had a meeting and ran off with some screws lol they worked very hard and deserved every penny. If I could of tipped them more I I would have. My wife took a travel nursing job last year so we put our belongings in storage in Nashville. We came to Orange County CA for a nursing assignment to be close to my family and soon after she was offered a full time position here so we needed our belongings moved to Huntington Beach. From the very beginning I was very impressed with Astronaut Movers. I spoke to the owner Joseph when inquiring about their services and he not only was significantly below competitors quotes, but he personally wanted to drive the truck to ensure the safe transportation and delivery of our possessions given the long haul. My only concern was a few pieces of furniture that could have easily been damaged during load/unload but everything was very well padded and loaded and delivered in perfect condition. I was in Huntington Beach at the time of loading but was told that his crew was courteous and professional and when I met Joseph here for delivery he also was very professional and accommodating. I've have moved many times, both short and long distances. I have paid excessive amounts to well-known companies, hired budget movers and a couple of times I have even used a rental truck and moved myself. Joe and his crew at Astronaut Movers are, by far, the best movers I have ever used. They helped us pack, organize and move from a large four bedroom home to a small two bedroom home. This included organizing our storage unit and a portable storage unit. After moving us to our new home, they went back to our old place and cleaned it so it would be ready for the new owners. I would like to take a moment to let you know just how pleased and happy we were with our move from Madison, Tennessee to Gallatin, Tennessee. Astronaut Movers not only moved us, they also packed for us. The three gentlemen that handled our packing and moving were friendly, professional, and very careful with all of our belongings. They showed up during the time frame set up, schedule person kept me up to date, movers called ahead to let me know when they were coming. Had Darryl and Joseph H. They were nice and professional. Had a couch that was difficult to work with but they persevered. They clearly explain how their rates work and I figured I saved about $60 over who I was originally going to use. I liked how their truck had a motorized lift instead of a ramp. This was their second move of the day and I could see they were getting kind of beat, I felt they worked at a reasonable pace in spite of this. To the company: provide the movers with basic power screwdrivers, make sure all equipment is working as this turned into a night move and the light inside the truck did not work. read more

I used Astronaut Movers with their 3 hours for $159 deal. An hour was used as drive time to my house as I live outside of the Metro Nashville area. My experience with Astronaut Movers was superb, from the lovely lady who answered the phone when I called (which most movers I called went straight to voicemail or the number was disconnected) to the movers, Darryl and Mark. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Darryl and Mark, they were dependable, courteous, efficient, and got straight to work. Even with a 40 minute drive time between locations they were able to load up about 2 rooms worth of stuff and unload it at the other location within the 2 hour time period. Darryl & Joseph H did a fine job of getting my 1BR apartment moved into a new house. They arrived towards the end of the scheduled window & we agreed up front for them to let me know when they thought they wouldn't have enough time to complete the move within the allotted time frame. With about an hour left, they had gotten all of the big stuff & asked if they should keep going and charge another hour or go ahead and head towards the unload. I elected to have them go ahead & complete the final 10-15% of the move myself. They got to the house & unloaded with a no problems. All the furniture was wrapped & in good condition. I had a wonderful experience with Astronaut Movers! I needed a piano picked up and delivered. Darryl and his partner came to pick it up and the key wouldn't work to get in the house! They were extremely patient and understanding! And even though the schedule was booked, they fit me in the next day. Chris and Brandon picked up the piano and delivered it. They had great positive attitudes and excellent team work! I don't know about you, but moving is always a stressful event. Astronaut movers made it simple from day one with their quick and easy booking methods/price quotes. The office responded the first day and provided me with a price quote and multiple dates of availability. On the day of moving, Colin and Charles arrived. I have the the highest praise for Astronaut Movers! I had a moving company not show for my scheduled move. I was distraught and it was a holiday weekend. I didn't know when I would get moved. Joseph responded to my Yelp plea stating that he would make sure he got me moved. I was nervous based on what happened with the other movers. Well, my fears were relieved. Astronaut movers are wonderful. They moved our office suite and were courteous and professional at all times. They took appropriate care with all items and worked non-stop and efficiently throughout the move. They also accommodated us in a number of ways, such as dropping items at several different stops. I was called the day before my move to confirm my move and the price (3 hours for $159). The gentlemen who moved us were friendly and professional. Got us out of the old unit and into the new unit swiftly, but also carefully. We were done in 1-1/2 hours. They called when they were on their way to confirm the address. I made reservations to have an upright piano moved from the first floor of a church to the first floor of an apartment and Darryl & JoJo represented their company well, did a great job, and carefully handled the piano. They called a few hours ahead of time to ask if they could start early, but I had other plans and could only move the time up by about 30 minutes, but they were polite and didn't grouse about the time they had to sit around waiting for us to show up so they could get started.
