I called Associated Key & Lock around 11 this past Saturday to leave a message about needing a lock changed. Being the weekend I never expected to have it done the same day. Well Paul returned my call promptly but I was shopping and did not hear my phone. When I got home later that afternoon I called the office number and left a message to apologize for playing telephone tag and if he could call me next week I would like to set up an appointment for him to come to my home. Well within three minutes he returned my call,said he had just closed up the shop, was on the highway on his way home, but he would turn around and come by if it was not to late! I was so happy. He knew what I was thinking because he said, I don't want you to worry all weekend about having this done. Paul is so personable, professional and efficient. He ended up changing both the front and back door for me so I would have just one key for both!! A homeowners dream. So often these days the businesses of today only care about the dollar and how to cut corners. Customer services is a thing of the the past. I reached out to Paul at Associated Key & Lock to schedule a time to re-key a whole home. He was very quick to respond to my inquiry and provided cost details. I wasn't able to give him a specific time for an appointment, when I was able to schedule, he was incredibly accommodating. When it came to the job, Paul was a professional, very knowledgeable and was able to fulfill our needs. We were looking at different handle types and he had great input into which ones to choose. We had miscalculated the amount of locks and materials we needed, but he had everything available on his van. He was able to re-key all our locks and even one we didn't have a key for. Originally we thought the re-keying was going to be an easy, quick job and even when it turned into a lengthier project Paul stayed and finished the job. If you have any sense at all unlike myself you would never use this business. Andrew is a snake oil salesman and will talk a bunch of crap and just want his check made out to him and then scram. When I got home to see his work was horrified to see his incompetence on how he took care of one of our doors . Placed called to him it took 3 to get a return call and then he just talks crap to justify his actions not once trying to resolve. Biggest waste of $250 ever . A bunch of keys and a deadbolt. Would not recommend this guy to a person I didn't like. Andrew is a pathetic business owner who just care about quick Buck and check made out to him. Good luck if you ever use this guy. read more

The owner, Paul, arrived on time, installed new locks on the main door and resolved a problem with an old, non-working lock on our storm door, efficiently and professionally. Called Paul for the first time today, on Friday afternoon, around 1:30pm. I had a locked deadbolt on a door with no key. He arrived within 20 minutes, mask in place, given Covid. He then physically picked the lock in under 5 minutes- opening the door without any damage. Without reservation, I would recommend Associated Key and Lock based on my experience. Paul is a great locksmith, but what makes him truly special is his amazing customer service. He just fixed a broken lock two hours after I called and left a message. He is a 1-man shop, so it's possible that some of the other reviewers that complained about his availability didn't understand that no one can be in two places at once. Paul at Associated Key & Lock did a great job for me. I needed the locks rekeyed on my rental property when the tenant left. Paul came over to do the job the next day. He changed all the locks quickly and noticed that one of the door handles was very old. He replaced it. He also noticed that the door plate for the deadbolt had been removed by the tenant. We called Paul after buying a new home and wanting to get the locks rekeyed. He did everything we asked with skill and good humor. Even when we asked for extra work on a basement door lock, he took care of it. And here's the icing on the cake - when he saw that a couple of the locks were already broken, he could have sold us new locks, but he offered to fix the ones we already had, which showed great character. Called Associated Key and Lock this morning to help unlock a rarely used door. Paul was here within a half an hour of my call. He was very nice and helpful! He explained that the door does need a new lock but for now he'd get rid of some of the corrosion so we could unlock it. He only charged us a very reasonable service fee and said that if we have him replace the lock he would waive the service fee. I would definitely call Paul in the future! read more
