Paul Dunn Electrical represents top-notch service on the Cape. He, Paul, was one of the only electricians to respond to a 24-hour service call on a weekend for my parents who were experiencing electrical issues in Harwich. He took the time to explain and walk us through what was wrong and the options to fix the problems. His work was meticulous and fast. Everything was documented and sent to us for reference. He also was one of the most reasonable rates we were quoted. We are grateful for his professionalism and dedication to his trade. I highly recommend him for any electrical work on the Cape. read more

Paul is exactly the type of electrician you want to hire for your home projects. I hired him to install a full-house solar generator, and while he was here, he tackled a lot of other miscellaneous smaller electrical projects that had been piling up. He and his assistant, Zach, were so nice to work with. They were professional and friendly and also very thorough. They made sure everything was tested and functioning properly to my satisfaction. I also appreciated how responsive he was and how quickly I was able to get all the work done. I will definitely call him for my next project! read more

Our oil burner at our home in Marstons Mill, MA here on Cape COd stopped working at about 5:30 PM last night - December 26th. I did not know until about 6:30 PM. I realized the electricity powering the burner stopped working. I called more than a dozen electricians. None had an available electrician for the coming week. Paul answered my call while on site at a job. I explained our situation. No heat overnight. My 84-year-old mother made it through the heatless night last night but cannot do so again tonight. Paul walked me through by telephone things to checks to identify the problem. Nothing changed. Paul gave me his word he would come asap. 42 minutes later Paul and his apprentice were on site. Within 30 minutes of their arrival, the electricity to the oil burner was working and heat resumed in the house. Paul is a straight shooter. He is a man dedicated to his profession and a person who genuinely cares about helping others in need and making a difference. I have worked with many electricians in my time, but few have the communication skills and the desire and ability to educate customers about their electricity infrastructure etc. as Paul. We found a gem in Paul. The next time we need an electrician, we - no doubt - will call Paul. read more

The absolute worst!! Unprofessional, unreliable and just has his hands out to take your money. There are too many contractors in the area to put up with this... look elsewhere!!! read more

Paul cancelled 3 times before his arrival today. He has done work for me before, and although the cost seemed pricey, he completed the tasks. Today he arrived wearing a MAGA hat. Paul does not understand that he is a guest in my home, I hired him, and his politics should be kept to himself. Total cost to replace a ring camera and install an additional outlet was $360. We agreed mutually to never do business again. He also did not replace the entire camera with the new one that was mailed to me. You should check his work before he leaves would be my advice. read more

Mr Dunn called back in timely manor and replaced the worm electric meter box within 2 days of contacting him.

Best contractor for timely response, service and price. Installed a generator for me. Helped with advice for the unit and additional items needed. Returned all calls, texts and emls promptly. On time for the installation. Neat and clean. Made sure system was operational before he left. Definitely on my list of approved contractors. read more

We had replacement central AC systems installed recently in our home and the manufacturer's code for circuit breaker amps was different than what was previously installed 20 years ago. We needed an electrician to remove the old AC-line circuit breakers and install new ones. I called Paul on Friday afternoon and by Saturday noon he had purchased replacement breaker at Home Depot and installed them in our house. (Installation time was about 10 minutes). We communicated via text messages before hand which speeded up him getting the info needed for the type of circuit breaker required. I was very impressed with Paul's speed of response to this small job and his professionalism. His fee was quite reasonable. I would rate Paul Dunn electric as 5+ stars. read more

Paul is rare in his talent and experience with anything electrical , who is also responsive, organized, kind and professional. Trust me I've dealt with dozens of electricians , but none with the confidence and experience , let alone customer service that Paul has. He moves extremely fast -- quick to respond , diagnose , execute all work., and despite his high demand, he truly makes an effort to serve all of his clients as quickly as possible , regardless of the size of the job. Well done , Paul. read more

I called Paul at 2:45 on Wednesday to see if he could check out my 2 exterior GFI outlets not expecting that he would come within 35 minutes, but that is exactly what he did. He also told me what he charges so there were no surprises. I have not had that experience from any service man that I have called in the past 8 months. He quickly fixed the problem and then discussed another project I need taken care of. Very professional and personable. I absolutely recommend. read more

I'd called a few electricians who lived nearby about electrical sockets in two rooms which weren't working. I've always figured it's best to keep business local in my town when possible. The local contractor is often able to stop by sooner than someone who lives further away. I left a voice mail message for the 1st gentleman. He returned my call much later, saying he was tied up with a family emergency and wouldn't be able to stop by for another 4 or 5 days. I called him back-- 4 days later-- to see what time he could stop over. He told me he'd try to get someone else for me. He didn't mention a day or a time, and no one else ever contacted me. The 2nd electrician I called never returned my call. Paul Dunn was the 3rd electrician I called. He lived somewhat further away than the other two contractors. He answered my phone call right away. He said he was headed out on a job.. but said that he could stop by around noontime-- that same day. He called be right at noon and said he was running a little late but he was on his way. He arrived promptly at 12:30 as promised. The outage turned out to be a small project. He successfully completed his work. He checked it to be certain the sockets were working correctly. Paul was more than fair with his price. He charged me below his regular house call service fee since the job was small and simple. I'd never call any other electrician for future work--large or small. If any friends or neighbors ask me.. I'd definitely recommend Paul. He's prompt, ethical and honest. read more

Our brand new dryer we bought in March just stopped working and would not turn on at all even after unplugging it and plugging it back in. I looked for local electricians and saw Paul Dunn Electrical. I called and he answered, told him my situation and he was out within 48 hours to check out our electrical situation. He was kind, efficient and thoroughly checked everything. He told my son that it was the control panel of the dryer and suggested we call where we bought it. I followed through with Paul on the phone and he spent time describing in depth what he did. Paul is a person you want to deal with, listens, explains and his price was incredibly reasonable. This type of personal touch is why I will call him again if something goes wrong. Luckily, the appliance store is replacing the dryer. Thanks Paul! read more

I was in a total bind having lost power in the evening. I could not figure it out, as half the house had power but no power to the fridge nor heat. Electrical box and circuits were fine. Paul Dunn showed up within half an hour, diagnosed the problem, and walked me through what to tell the power company. He also proactively identified an unrelated issue caused by water seepage and agreed to come back to resolve once the power company corrects its piece. Truly appreciate the quick response. read more

Friday night. Easter weekend. We arrived home to find half the house without power. The wind had been howling so could be from that or maybe a lightning strike targeted the circuit breakers. Or who knows what? Who ya gonna call when it's been years since you have had to bring in an electrician??? After searching around the web and reading reviews, Paul Dunn was first on our list. Couldn't find anybody who had a bad word to say about him! We had 4 other names penciled in below his on our call list just in case he was out of town. But lucky for us, Paul took our Saturday morning call and said he would be there after his first customer. He asked us to forward our text number since he was on the road. Extra points for safe driving. Then he texted to tell us he was on his way and give us his approximate ETA. He even showed up a bit early. Paul is the perfect mix of professional, congenial and efficient. His service call charge was more than fair and affordable. His experience in the field is comprehensive. Paul checked circuits, all were ok. Within 15 minutes, he diagnosed the problem as originating in the line from the pole into the house and advised us to call EverSource who came later that day. Sure enough, wire on the street had pulled out from one of their poles and soon we were back in business. Based on our new customer experience, we highly recommend that Paul Dunn should be the first call you make for emergency service and your other home electrical bugs, installations, etc. Though his last name starts with a "D", he is now the FIRST card in our Rolodex and has been added to our iPhone contacts as well. Thanks Paul! read more

Not only was Paul available on extremely short notice (within hours) of an inspection, he was courteous, professional and on time. He called ahead to let us know that he was on the way, and as soon as he got here, he got right to business. He did the job, and was in and out in record time. Couldn't have asked for a better experience on such short notice that didn't take advantage of our desperation. Thank you Paul, we will most definitely let all of our friends know how great it was doing business with you, especially on a Friday during Cape traffic. read more
