David Youngs initial service is spot on. Came and installed my minisplit and was very professional. However, after a year an a half I started experiencing issues with the condenser and called David to preform a service call and never heard back from him. No returned call, no returned email, no follow up at all to at least say he was unable to provide service. I know contractor are at a premium now but at the very least a return call or email would have been welcomed. I would recommend him for new work but don't expect him to respond if you have an issue down the road. read more

Like many cape Cod Homeowners I had plumbing problems due to the freezing temperatures this winter, and I live in NJ. He could have overcharged, misdiagnosed and did things that didn't need to be done - but he Didn't! He had all the right equipment and connections to make what could have been disastrous into a relatively easy fix. Had a problem with one heating zone. I knew it wasn't the thermostat because i swapped it out for another with no change. Called David and he arrived within a day. He troubleshot the zone, pulled the damper suspecting it might be motor. He quickly found a small plastic bracket which was not attached preventing the damper from closing all the way. The problem was solved in about 45 minutes and he explained what i should be looking for on my own. I was impressed by his trouble shooting skills and rapid resolve. There is no one more reliable, prompt, or competent than David. He has taken care of and done repairs on our ancient oil furnace for many years. Today, there was a huge problem with our kitchen sink and he returned my call for help within seconds. Actually, what seemed to me to be a huge problem, he repaired quickly and efficiently. David is honest, friendly, punctual and INCREDIBLY PROFICIENT at his trade! We had three other local companies come and troubleshoot our boiler issues. Two of the three just wanted to change parts until they could figure out what was wrong. The third gave us a crazy estimate for repair cost. I got so frustrated with it I decided to just buy a new boiler to replace mine that's 20 years old. I called 4 companies to come out and give me an estimate. One was able to come out within a week the others scheduled me for several weeks out. The first companies guy was so over the top with up selling and didn't want to hear what i had to say that I had to cut the meeting off. I was so frustrated after the meeting with him that I decided to ask a local friend for a suggestion for a HVAC company. He told me to call David Young. My boiler was still keeping my house at 68 at best but would take hours to heat water between showers when I called David. When I called David I was instantly in shock of how polite he was to deal with. He said he would be there the next day to give me a estimate for a new system. When I got home from work the day he was coming I found my boiler had completely quiet working leaving my family with no heat or hot water. David showed up at 4:30 I told him I didn't expect him to troubleshoot my boiler since that's not what he was there for and I knew he was busy. He took it upon himself to start checking the system out. Within 20 minutes he knew it was the igniter. I expected him to schedule a time to come back and fix it. But he instead drove back to his house and got the replacement part and had us up and running in no time. Once he could hear/see the boiler run he asked why I wanted a new one. I explained that I didn't want to keep throwing good money at a worn out boiler. He then told me all I needed was two new circulator pumps. I asked what he suggested for me to do and he said he could have the boiler running correctly the next day for a very reasonable price. I took his advice and asked him to change the pumps the next day. He showed up the next morning and was very polite to my wife and had the pumps changed in no time. He even added a part I was missing on my fill valve. I was quoted just under $10,000.00 dollars for a new boiler by the other company and $1,500.00 by another company to change the pumps. David worked on my system after hours for two hours, changed the igniter and came back the next day and changed 2 pumps, changed a gauge and had the system running for $700.00. What a deal! The price he quoted me for a new boiler would have been nearly half the other company wanted. I will only use David Young for any future issues we encounter. read more
