Confident, calm, soothing, and compassionate; mindful and solicitous of our opposing needs to assist in our father's care and to rest; attentive and quickly responsive to his mood; skilled in the care of an invalid and sharing in her knowledge so that we could be more effective caregivers in her absence... she was the epitome of hospice care professionalism. I hope that on my deathbed I have a nurse half as good as Randi. I'm a volunteer ski patroller in the Midwest; over the past fifteen years I've been privileged to work closely with patrollers who have many decades of experience in emergency care, some of whom are also nurses and doctors themselves. Countless times - I literally cannot count - I have had a long-planned infusion canceled because the company came up with a new hurdle they decided they'd like to implement. The staff is rude, inconsistent, and just utterly incompetent. The services that *have* been delivered have always been done so on an e emergency basis - somebody literally escalates up to a high enough level that something finally gets done. I literally don't know from week to week whether my planned infusion will go forward, and this is no way for a sick person to live. Fuck this company from the bottom of my heart.

One or two of the aids might've needed a little help or additional training on how to move a patient who has no ability to move themselves. The PT staff was 100%! Every one of them were kind, caring and compassionate. They made me do as much as I could without experiencing pain. They never pushed me to go further than I thought I could. I went into the place not even able to roll over onto the bedpan, and I left there 4 weeks later with just a cane. I highly recommend the place.

Visitors can sign in at the front desk on the first floor, which also has a cafe and a hair salon with very limited daytime hours. The rooms and hallways appear clean and well-maintained, at least during the day. Being a long-term care facility, some of the patients (along with some of the staff) can be unruly and disruptive in the evening when other patients are trying to rest.

The reports on HARDWICK are not very encouraging, but I will keep an open mind, and report what ever happens there more to follow. arrived at 4:30pm, facility is CLEAN, and looks like it is well maintained .the first thing that they wanted to do, was to way me, since I cant yet get out of bed, they brought in a MONSTER, a machine that lifted me up ( gently ) a told me my weight. How's that for health care. I must say that the bed I'm in isn't too comfortable, but at 7:00am, I got a complete wash. Followed by a hot,and acceptable breakfast.
