Riguad has been helping my son Dan take showers over the past several months. He has also picked up additional tasks while he is here for 2 hours most weeks. The entire family appreciates Riguad as he is very dedicated to Dan and always makes sure that Dan is comfortable and get's what he needs while he is here. Would not recommend this agency. Very unprofessional, uncaring office staff and supervisors. Nurse we had was great. She gave us her notice in August & the agency never called us until December. No communication, horrible to deal with. Finally called after 2 months, had no replacement still. Let us hang on all that time. Don't bother with them, too many other agencies to go to. I see why our nurse left them. read more

My family has been supported by the excellent office staff and caregivers from Atlantic Private Care for several years. First they cared for my elderly mother so she could remain in her home, suffering with dementia, until her death. The Atlantic nursing team even helped provide hospice care so she could die peacefully in her own home. Now they help care for one of her son's who has cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities. The nurses, nurse practitioners and aides that are provided by Atlantic are carefully recruited by, assigned to clients so that they match their needs and personalities, and senior supervisory staff visits the clients in their homes periodically to make sure that all needs are being met. Would definitely recommend using Atlantic, including their great physical therapy team. read more

I'm splitting the review into two parts, one part for Marisa, who runs Atlantic Private Care in Morristown and for the aide, Dorothy who took care of my father for four days, and the other part is for the intake nurse, Reine. As for Dorothy, she was assigned to take care of my father at home in March 2016. My father was bedridden last March. (He died on May 2. The primary cause was urosepsis.), and had a catheter. Dorothy was not proactive. Most of the time she sat and did nothing, although she would wash my father, and empty his catheter bag. Also, at 3:00 every afternoon, she came into the living room and turned on General Hospital, and did not ask my mother permission to do so. (My mother watches Dr. Phil.) Four days later, my father had to go back to Morristown Medical Center because he had a fever. On that day, my mother was sick in bed with a virus. Because I need to follow the ambulance to the hospital, I wanted Dorothy to stay with my mother. There are no relatives close by who could help. Marissa, who runs Atlantic Private Care, said that could not be done and that Dorothy had to leave because Dorothy was hired only for my father. Marisa then said that, in order for someone to take care of my mother, that new paperwork had to be started, and I needed to give written consent within one hour. I told Marisa that she had my oral consent, and that I was willing to give written consent, but to do that within one hour was unreasonable. I know that there are rules, but Marisa was being very unreasonable in an exceptional situation. Eventually, I followed the ambulance carrying my father to the hospital, although no one was at home to take care of my mother, and I did meet a representative of Atlantic Home Care in the ER and sign the consent form. Once I signed the consent form, Marisa was supposed to send someone that day to care for my mother, but she did not do so until the next day. I did report this incident to the State Attorney General's office, but the did nothing because we were not alleging fraud. In light of the above, Marisa and Dorothy get one star. On the other hand, Reine, the intake nurse, was very nice and efficient, and a pleasure to work with when she looked after and examined both my mother and father. I gove her five stars. She should be running Atlantic Private Care, not Marisa. read more
