When my cousin came to me for help on her website for her diamond business. www.theloosediamond.com I told her I barely know how to set up my own home printer. Luckily my friend referred me to someone he found on Yelp when he wanted to start an online business. The previous vendor that set up her site didn't do such a great job and there were always glitches. Once something was fixed, another thing broke. We called up The Martian Team and spoke with Jeff. Jeff was friendly and not pushy trying to sell me stuff we didn't need. They broke down how much it would cost and how long it would take. They also offer a flat monthly or hourly maintenance rate. JavaScript, SEO, HTML, ...... Blah blah blah. I spoke w a different web design company and a web designer. They tried to push something called SEO because they were an SEO company and that was the only product they work with. Then they tried to refer me to an internet marketing company. @#$% ... Internet marketing??? We just need the buttons to work! I'm glad Jeff broke it down into plain English for us and explained the bugs on the site. The site looks great now. My cousin was so happy now that she doesn't have to worry about Shopping cart glitches or error messages anymore and if she does, she has a reliable web team she can go to. read more

Assembly Collective was recommended to me by a friend a few weeks ago, who raved about how great of a job they did with the redesign of their website and how much help they provided with updating and integrating their branding. At the time, I remember checking out the new site and being really blown away by how modern and smooth the website felt. I've since had the pleasure to work with them directly. I highly recommend their services - not only do they know what they're doing, but they're super easy to work with. Every one I spoke with on their team was courteous and professional - and prompt (somethign often overlooked!) They were really good at interpreting what I wanted for ny brand/website and translating that to something very professional and cool - something that 'fit' me and my business. I haven't yet had the opportunity to work with them for any architectural designs; however, if/when I do, they're at the top of the list for me to call! read more

I am a very analytical person, I like to understand the ins-and-outs of a thing, yet when it comes to web design and most things technical, I am always lost! I'm also not mesmerized by social media, while I do use it, I tend to neglect it and not use it to its full capacity and potential like many do. So I knew I needed some serious help. Assembly Collective is a company that makes the intimidating parts of starting a business make sense! They take all the confusing aspects out of the equation. They are skilled in what they do when it comes to web design and social media optimization, and SEO (search engine optimization), because I would say those are the main things and "terms" that scared me before. This team helped me realize that my fears were actually very unrealistic and not as insurmountable as I thought. Assembly Collective and their "Martian Team", helped me "assemble" something great and were always quick to get back to me. Will always go back to them in the future for any of my techy type needs or issues. read more

I recently worked with Assembly Collective while completing an assignment for a freelance client of mine who needed help with web design in addition to the editing and writing services I was providing. Since web design is not my area of expertise, I wanted to find someone local to work with who could help my client while also easily incorporating the editorial and creative vision I had in mind for the client. After reading other Yelp reviews and speaking with the team at Assembly Collective a few times, I decided to work with them, and I couldn't be happier that I did. The team was extremely professional, friendly and prompt in meeting deadlines, and they also had excellent communication throughout the process. In addition, the team was able to make recommendations as far as strategy, online engagement and getting new business. This wasn't a "one size fits all" approach in the least; they actually took the time to understand my client's goals and needs. The end result was stunning, and I can happily say I have another satisfied client who is consistently getting great traffic. I'll definitely work with Assembly Collective again the next time I have a need for web design services. read more

I wanted to build a website for my gourmet coffee business and found Martian Team from Craigslist. I didn't think much of it because I found Alex from Craigslist. I met with him to discuss what I was looking to do and he started the website soon after. He was always on top of everything and gave me great feedback about my ideas and I appreciated that. After he was done with my website, he showed me how it looked and I was so happy. It looks so nice and clean, just like I wanted. I sent the link to my friends and everyone loved it. Now he still updates my website from time to time and it's still the same great customer service like the first time around. Now my website that he built is viewed around the world by my prospective buyers. Thank you, Alex! Keep up the good work! I've been selling performance car parts online through ebay ever since i got my drivers license. It's always been kind of a hobby but lately things have been really picking up. If you're familiar with ebay then you know they charge an arm and a leg for each sale, so i decided to go out on my own to go around the fees. I contacted a couple of web design and internet marketing companies, but they were either too expensive or inexperienced, which was not what I was looking for. My friend recommended Martian Team so i gave them a call and talked to Brian. He heard me out and knew exactly what i was trying to d. He explained to me that since i had an established client base it would be good to start off with a simple e-commerce website with functions such as email, newsletters and customer loyalty discounts. They very thorough and knowledgeable during the whole web design process. From helping me with picking a business name (for SEO purposes) to keeping things within my budget. I actually got my first 2 orders through my new website today which totaled to $126. I honestly think my website will start to pay for itself in just a few weeks time. Thanks guys for all your help read more

Really enjoyed working with these guys--which is definitely saying something coming from me, as I have worked with a lot of web design and SEO companies before and it hasn't always been so smooth. I specifically went to them just for SEO and SEM work for my website fairivy.com, since I wasn't ranking as highly as I'd like for specific keywords. Alex really held my hand through the entire process including pretty much teaching me how the whole thing worked from the ground up. I'm in month 4 of a monthly setup and I haven't looked back. It has done wonders for my search rankings. Thanks!! read more

Bored SAHM (stay at home mom)! For awhile now, I've been trying to design a website to showcase (and possibly sell) photos I've taken over many many years. Friends will tell you I'm usually never without my camera - literally! Since moving across country, my new role as SAHM has given me so much time - well not that much time since an infant is a lot of work! Anyways - I'm not a techie, I'm far from it. I've reached out to a few of my techie-so friends and apparently its ridicuously hard for me to grasp the concept. Eh... Got a few referrals and found some web design companies on Craigslist. After a few quote comparison and putting my Asian bargaining skills to the test, some of these companies wanted to charge $3000+! Um hello - if they only knew I had no money ahahhaa! Anyways - Martian Team stood out cause: 1. Great quote - affordable for a SAHM! None of these upsells and crap I don't need. 2. Business knowledge! They explained in plain simple language how i could upload my pictures and how the checkout process, merchant accounts, and Paypal works...info was overwhelming but I was grateful that they took the time to dumb it down just for me - really appreciate it Alex!! I feel confident that I know what I'm doing, I think.. 3. Plus - I was told I could call them whenever I had questions :D which i will. 4. Turnaround time was quick! Web design is a lot of work - no joke! But at least it was easier with these guys! read more

I actually waited a significant time after hiring Martian Team to leave this review. Upon hiring them for my social media and web design needs, I found out that their strategies really work and I have been able to procure more business. They are the only company I am using and I have seen the results. Engagements have been increased, and I am getting more visibility to my business. I couldn't be happier and I am hugely grateful I found them. I was really impressed with their knowledge, and they treat their business like a craft. I feel like nowadays you have to be fully engrossed and obsessed with what you're trying to create, and they really have their niche mastered. read more

I am a builder and general contractor. We hired Assembly Collective to design 2 custom homes for us in Orange County. We needed a model quality product that set itself apart from the rest, and Assembly Collective nailed it. Not only was the design perfect, but as a developer costs and time are just as, if not, more important. We put them through rigorous time constraints and they produced every time. Also Orange County is one of the most difficult counties to get through the planning and building department, you need to know their codes and procedures or you could lose a months time or more. They were very educated in what was needed. We would recommend Assembly Collective any time and will be using them again and again for future projects. read more

Being older and not the most tech savy makes it difficult for me when I look to starting a new website for my business. Luckily I have several friends who have used Martian Team, and seeing what they have done blew me away. There are plenty of businesses out there who say they will make you an outstanding website and make you the next big thing on social media. But, looking closer at what these companies will do for you is nothing short of a cookie cutter. Martian Team doesn't just give you a template website that 30 of their other customers have. They take the time to sit down with you and really get to know you. They find out what you and your business stand for, what your goals are, and they execute. Martian Team really puts it out of the park when it comes to web design and social media. They have the upper-hand and knowledge that I lack to get me the following I need on social media. My friends businesses excelled the day they brought Martian Team aboard. It would be a mistake to look any further. read more

I'm an artist in Chicago who loves to network and travel. I love graphic design and it's important to know who's designing the world around us. I gave these guys a call and left a message to get some info. I got a quick response and some great info I spoke to a guy named Alex. He was super polite and helpful. I felt comfortable speaking with him and that is the most important factor in this type of industry. They've been in the web design industry for 5 years. That's means that people want them around. Their rates run per hour and he said their clients guide them on what they'd like to happen and they make it happen and guarantee 100% ownership of the work created. There's a lot of web designs out there and i found theirs easy to navigate and efficiently to the point. Their site had great attention to detail. Like many people, creating a website and doing it in a timely manner does not come easy to me. With the help of Assembly Collective I was able to learn my way around developing a web design. I would definitely recommend using them to any of my friends that struggle with the technical aspects of making a brand. Personally my biggest goals of the project was to focus on branding, in addition to that having an appealing graphic design. All of which Assembly Collective helped me accomplish. Assembly Collective gave great advice, guidance and expertise when it came to web design. In all, Assembly Collective is a company that allows those who struggle with aspects of web design to be broken down for you. As well as makes those of us starting a brand to be less afraid and much more confident in the product you are putting out with the help of a little marketing/advertisement/branding available on the website. He did an excellent job with the site, always kept me updated and informed as to what what was going on, and really worked with me to ensure that I got a great site. I found Alex at martian team on yelp and decided to give him a call due to his good reviews, and when explaining all the changes and issues that needed to be changed on my site he was very comprehensive and understood it like a true professional. His prices are very affordable for changes and updates on existing websites and most importantly of all he seems to be honest . The crew at Martian Team ROCKS! We had some serious graphic design challenges in pulling the right image messaging together, and they nailed it for us. We've now got a logo that translates our company culture as no other graphic design work we've had has ever done. If you can articulate your company's core mission clearly, these guys can make it mean something at a glance. Aside from graphic design (which is where we started with them), they really know their stuff when it comes to getting eyeballs to your business, which is really what it's all about, right? I'm sure you can find someone "cheaper" to slap a graphic design concept together...but trust me on this (because I've been there, done that), going with low bidders always winds up costing more at the end of the day. Not only that, but Martian Team offices are so close to Dodger Stadium that you can have your graphic design meeting with them in the morning and catch a game for lunch! read more

All publicity is NOT good publicity and nobody knows that better than the Martian team. They have great hours (Always open means you can always get an expert's help.) I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My website looks perfect: modern and with just the right aesthetic to complement my artwork on the pages. I feel confident giving my portfolio link to those who I want to view my art because I know they'll be seeing a professional looking website rather than something from, like, 2009.
