What I was originally shown was a lightweight piece with no metal. After my extraction (which took about an hour), I was given something totally different -- a large prosthetic that didn't fit right. I couldn't close my mouth properly and could barely talk without a lisp. The dentist tried to file it down, which just made it worse and left a gap between the roof of my mouth and the denture. When I said I was unhappy, she offered to cut it, but told me if she did, I wouldn't be able to eat with it. I agreed because I was sore and ready to go home, but the result is a prosthetic I can't wear at all. My insurance won't cover another one, so I'm just stuck with it. When I tried to talk to the office about it, they weren't kind or helpful -- and I was dismissed from the practice right after paying for the procedure. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but this experience left me disappointed and without a usable prosthetic. I hope sharing my story helps others ask more questions before committing to major dental work.

Here is my review…read more I am a 100% disabled veteran who was sent to PDA from the VA to get my teeth fixed and things started out amazingly; felt comfortable, this is important as my disability is related to healthcare and feeling ignored due to a botched surgery and failed aftercare! PDA sent me to the Wilkesboro PDA office for a second opinion; I went as I wanted to make sure i was getting the right treatment and a second opinion made sense. I arrived about 20 minutes early to my appointment and let them know im im early and they said to wait in waiting room and ill be called at my appointment time. Appointment time came i physically watched people come in and get taken back for appointments AFTER MINE. One guy was called back named Todd we even asked "Which one" ugh it was the other one! i waited approx 20 minutes after my appointment time (total of about 40 - 45 minutes total, yes early was my part) but not being notified or updated and left alone to my own devices and feeling ignored by healthcare.....YET AGAIN....triggered my PTSD so I left and told them ill reschedule when they actually had availability. I left and called the troutman office and scheduling and told them what happened and said NEVER EVER send me to that office again and let me know next steps. NOTHING....RADIO SILENCE.....called VA they calle dthe troutman office who spoke to the office manager who sai dit was all my fault and had the audacity to have the wilkesboro office call me.....HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!! They tried to tell me it was a misunderstanding, but I asked several times if this was everything I needed, and was told yes. IT WAS DECEPTION; they should have given me that treatment plan at the beginning. I left because now I don't trust you.

We had a bad experience with the orthodontists recommended by our primary dentist. We looked around…read moreand finally found an office who takes our insurance and existing records. Dr. White's office scheduled the evaluation about a month out, not terrible. Dr. White's office sent online portal access within days, while none were provided by the other ortho. Dr. White himself was a very pleasant person, positive, friendly, and dealt well with my 2 boys. The other ortho was not friendly, kind, or pleasant. It was his way or no way. Dr. White dis not want to remove any impacted teeth, because they were too close to nerves and other teeth, and would likely cause permanent nerve damage. He explained that the remaining baby tooth was fused to the bone and would be torture to remove, because they would have to remove bone as well. The other ortho wanted to remove the baby tooth, remove the impacted adult tooth that should be where the baby tooth is, and then remove another tooth on top to line up the teeth. Dr. White actually cared about my sons over all health, not just getting braces on, teeth lined up, and a paycheck. Dr. White's office is by far superior, especially Dr. White himself. Taking my 3rd son there this fall.

Office staff, always professional and kind, got me in for an appointment. Dr. Lembo identified the problem, then she and her staff figured out how to get it fixed that day. An hour later, I was back to see Dr. Montgomery who took care of it in under an hour, pain free and stress free. Excellent experience all around, and I'm a dental wimp, so that's saying something!

the combination of plague and unemployment beyond my control means my oral hygiene has not been up…read moreto par of late. the brushing and flossing and rinsing have continued apace but without regular professional cleanings or assessment of my efforts. not surprisingly I wound up with a bad tooth in desperate need of attention... scary bad... so bad that the x-ray showed the middle of a molar as a cloudy blob :-( also had a cracked tooth that wasn't doing me any favors but funny thing about that is while poking around in my mouth the hygienist pushed the tooth back together! heard and felt it snap back in place and the pain was about cut in half immediately. neat! still had a raging infection in my jaw but way less total mouth pain... Dr Montgomery seems a decent and concerned individual. she came in to assess my situation and explain what my dental problems were and then sent me home with referral slips and a prescription for antibiotics. my x-rays were forwarded to the other doctors along with the notes so all I had to do was make the appointments and take my meds. when I get the urgencies all taken care of I'll be back in for the more mundane treatments and evaluations and some more roller massage chair. when society collapses and the barbarians commence to pillaging I hope someone has the sense to preserve the tools of modern dentistry. yea for teeth doctors plying their trade without pliers!
