A staff member replied directly to my message and called me personally. That alone already felt different--like they truly cared. They scheduled me for an appointment just two days later, and from the moment I walked in, I felt seen and supported. I was given a stress ball during the exam, and they let me pause anytime I needed. The dental assistant was incredibly kind, and Dr. Sigmon was both gentle and thorough. Despite not seeing a dentist in a decade, he reassured me that my teeth were actually in good shape (a huge relief!). He even took the time to show me the proper way to floss--something I'd never been taught before. The hygienist stopped by to introduce herself before my cleaning next week, and checkout was a breeze thanks to insurance coverage. They also offered options to help with anxiety for my next visit, including nitrous, which made me feel respected and welcomed--not judged. Wow! I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sigmon and his staff! I live an hour away but found them when going for permanent cosmetics close by. Stacy Heffner recommended I go there for a dental block before having permanent lip color applied. This was my 3rd time and I had some strange staining on my teeth (never a cavity at 70 years old). My regular dental hygienist at home in SC had cleaned it but it came back. I asked Dr. Sigmon about it and he said it was not from the forever antibiotics I take but from my toothpaste. Then with no appointment he said he'd get it right off by sand blasting. In 20 minutes total I got the block I went for and solved a problem I only hoped to get info on. I am now going to get a whitening tray but instantly I feel like my teeth look 20 years younger. And everyone there made me feel at ease and at home in a town that would normally be too far away to go for checkups but I plan to make that drive anyway as long as I'm able. I have now been to the office for a root canal, cleaning, replacement of a bridge, and replacement of two very old fillings. The care by Dr. Sigmon and his staff has been amazingly wonderful. Dr. Ryan Sigmon is the best dentist I have had in my almost 59 years. He is warm, friendly, taking the time to review imaging and discuss the options and work he will do.
