Here I am writing a review when I don't do reviews. I felt this was something important I wanted to share with everyone. Aspen Dental is an alternative that is cheaper than regular dental offices. I entered the Gresham office close to a year ago and have been to appointments many times due to the fact it took an oral surgeon to remove about 15 remaining teeth and put 8 implants in. This is a rather long journey; I was scared to death, but the team here have worked closely and kindly with me. Getting implants is a long process and takes 9-12 months. Be ready to visit the clinic 1-2 times a week. I'm sorry I don't know the Dr.'s names but the oral surgeon does his job well. The male Dr. from India is so kind and gentle, he truly wants the very best outcome for me. I've met the guy that makes the teeth twice and he also is very kind. The office manager Jennifer does her job very efficiently. She thoroughly explained all the payment options. One little gal who is the dental assistant named Kaitlyn always has a big smile. Often times we associate inexpensive clinics with lower standards of care. I'm in my 60's and have experienced a lot of life, the team at Aspen Dental in Gresham really care and try to help get you through the trauma. Getting my teeth worked on is my very least favorite thing. Now that the painful part is over, I actually look forward to my weekly and bi-weekly visits. I was hoping to establish my dental care here but before I came in I was told through the phone my insurance was accepted here but last minute when they wanted me to pay(more than 3k) the lady told me they don't take my insurance and dismissed me in a pretty rude way. read more

If I could, I would award 10 stars for the exceptional service; they performed a tooth extraction on the same day, providing immediate relief from unbearable pain, and offered a payment plan that allowed a down payment since I was self-paying and they didn't participate with my dental insurance. read more

I got a root canal done by an endodontist here. I previously wrote a bad review for Aspen Dental in Beaverton on behalf of my mother in law, but i needed this procedure done in a certain span of time and i called around and this place happened to have an opening for a travelling endodontist right in my timeframe. I was nervous because Aspen Dental is a large company and seems to be more organised in a less personal way compared to smaller dentistries. But, I had a great experience, very friendly staff, welcoming and listened to my specific needs. The procedure went smoothly and I had little to no pain following it. I was very pleased because I have had terrible experiences at the dentist. I wish I knew her name, but the endodontist was very kind and had very steady hands. this place takes advantage of their patients! i went in for a filling on one tooth and they tried to charge me $7000. all of their employees are still in dental school or got their license in another country. they try to force you into getting procedures you dont need and cant afford, they dont listen to what their patients want, the staff is rude and pushy, spend your money somewhere else and stay clear of this place. read more

Back in April I started the process of extractions and dentures at a different aspen dental. I LOVED my dentist and the staff there. I still needed to get my final dentures and so I called and made an appointment as it was closest to where I moved to. I have never been herded in and out like I was at the Gresham Aspen Dental. First I was told that I needed to make an appointment for an exam with the dentist , even though all I needed at the time was a soft re aline. I go in and never saw a dentist and the tech just put the liner on top of the previous one. This made my dentures ill fitting and the extra lining made the dentures difficult to wear as I had all this extra stuff in them and it thickened them. When I asked why they were doing that she told me that is just how they do it. For months I would go in old liner removed new one put in never a problem. I get a call to come in for my final dentures impressions and go to a different office. When I get my dentures back the impression had pulled the liner they put on top off my dentures and now the line left was one that was done in June. As you mouth heals your gums change so now the dentures are very loose and I have to glue them in. I prepaid almost 3k plus the 13k my insurance paid and for that amount of money I expected to be treated differently. The office in Happy Valley is amazing and they were very good at explaining what what to be expected. The dentist was professional (yes I actually got to see him!) and the staff sympathetic to what had happened. I do like aspen dental as a whole but not this office. If your dropping over 15k for services you shouldn't be quickly pushed in and out of the office. They need to learn to schedule where each person had the services they office done correctly. read more

My adult son was in pain and needed a dentist. He went in to to possibly establish care and see if they could see the issue. Long story short, they told him he had a bone infection then proceeded to sit him down to discuss his treatment options. However, the treatment options put down (my son sent me the copy) was ONLY for the cleaning and listed each item down to the rinse for his mouth and teeth cleaning charges for three teeth at a time. The entire bill would have come to over $2k! And they even told my son that the credit plan he could use was ONLY 25% interest, ONLY! Are you stupid? My son knew he was in a bad place that was simply trying to get him to accept "treatment" and they could get over $2k just for the cleaning! We have excellent dental insurance but their office didn't seem to want to check that. Thankfully my son was smart enough to get out of there and run. Do NOT go to this place! They are simply there to take your money. It's funny how their treatment plan made no mention of a bone infection. The estimate was only for the cleaning. They also wanted to pull some teeth; and my son told him he was under ortho treatment and they would not be doing that. This whole office is a scam and they really should be reported to the Oregon Dental Board. read more

On Oct 31 after taking 3 different antibiotics Clindamycin, Azithromycin, and Cephalexin, I was still in pain. So Dr. Alpert told me that I would have to have emergency oral surgery on that Wednesday. I went in Wednesday morning they put me under pulled my teeth didn't give me a chance to wake up from the Anastasia, lifted me up threw my dentures in my mouth, didn't even fit them in. Threw me in the wheelchair and then outside my husbands truck. Total of 28 minutes from the time in to the time out. I was still disoriented when I got home. After recovering with my friend caring for me I decided to try these dentures.. They had an 1/2 inch over bite. What the heck these are not my teeth is what I am yelling at my friend... She told to make copies of my pictures and she was taking me back. I have never had an overbite especially 1/2 inch one. After shaving them down I told them they are rubbing on my gums they wanted me to wait 5 days until they redid an impression in the meantime due to my job I had to wear these dentures dealing with the pain of the rubbing and the overbite. On Nov 7 the redid the impression and on Nov9 they did a wax fitting of the teeth to see if it was going to work. I explained to them it still has to much of an overbite. Dr. Alpert proceeded to tell me that is the best they can do, if I don't like it he will give my money back but I would have to render the dentures (leaving me with no teeth) and I can seek treatment somewhere else. I went back on the 10th to get these new dentures that were suppose to be based of the wax fitting and low and behold we are back to 1/2 overbite. They shaved these one's down, now I am dealing with my dry chapped lips my tongue doesn't fit over my teeth to even moisten my lips, I tried eating my teeth sound like a horse clopping, I can't rest my lips closed, my friends are telling my teeth hang to low and with that overbite, I can't close my mouth, barely reach my lips with my tongue, soars on my gums and a dentist to tell me to deal with it. I paid cash for this deal with it service, cash I didn't really have. I never once used any state assistance. And I have to deal with it. Deal with never being able to go out to dinners with friends, deal with never having a social life, deal with never smiling again. read more

Don't get me wrong I'd like to my dentist you did my work really well but to be stuck in the chair waiting for 45 minutes I had cotton in my mouth and blood and spit going down my face because nobody checked on me for those 45 minutes I was not happy at all and then when my wife tried to call in the remaining part of the bill told her we had paid first thing in the morning because it was after 6 and we get paid that morning she said there'd be a late charge for being one day late so needless to say I will not be going back to this dentist even though I need more work done read more

Don't go to this place they sign you up for an appointment I actually left work, so Income loss for this appointment, waited an hour so I finally asked when I was going to be seen. They said maybe another 1/2 hour cause they are really busy today. I would have been left to sit and wait had I not inquired. Another lady said it happened to her as well. Warning they certainly must not care as they have shown me absolutely no customer service , they never even communicated with me. When I made my appointment I said that I couldn't get to them from work in 15 minutes for the appointment she said she would note it and that it would be fine. read more

I was so nervous about coming to Aspen Dental. But my daughter chipped her tooth and we needed to have it fixed. I really appreciate the kindness that was given to my daughter, my daughter was so nervous. The assistant as well as the doctor kept her calm and laughing. This dentist office is truly so amazing. I was in such pain and they did everything they could do to get me financed quickly and on the road to recovery!
