I was questioned and explained on different issues and benefit I could get from a proper teeth cleaning. Miss capello is someone who is enthusiast about her work and likes teaching and getting people aware of the importance of their tooth health. Beware of there promise to not quit until your happy. They will keep having you come back to make adjustments that keep getting worse. Your so tired and frustrated that you give up. To be fair. I understand the bottom dentures sometimes need implants to stay in place but when they don't even stay in place with a ton of glue every half hour there's a problem. Top too. I had quick temporary ones done years ago that fit much better than there's. It's been a few months now and until I went to a different dentist I believed them when they said it's my gums. This legitimate dentist confirmed what I already new. Bad bad work. StAy away. A little bit cheaper saving a little money can ruin your life. I was a patient here for a year and I did not have one good experience. Everyone was rude including the dentist himself. Today I finally had my last straw with Aspen of Dedham when I called to schedule my 6 month exam and they told me they couldn't get me in until JULY! That was 6 months from the time I called. I even have an open schedule with plenty of availability during the day during the week and they still told me that they couldn't get me in sooner. I told the girl that I guess I need to find a new dentist and her reply was, " Ok have a good day!". I couldn't believe it. I immediately called around and found a new dentist. I greatly disliked this dental office. I was cheery enough going in; I was going to get free x-rays, and given the cost that I would have to pay with the reduced-fee schedule offered through my health insurance, this was a major perk. The wait wasn't so bad going in, and I had my x-rays done pretty quickly. I was then seated in an examination chair to wait for the dentist. And I waited. And waited. The x-ray tech came over and gave me a People magazine to occupy my mind. I read the whole thing, and waited some more before the dentist finally came to me. When he did, he looked at my x-rays and started investigating my mouth. I told him about a suspected cavity. "Yup," he found it. "Please schedule another appointment with the secretary to get that filled." That was it. WHAT?!! I waited all that time for a dentist to tell me something I already knew. I was pissed, and willfully did not make another appointment. Ultimately, this turned out well. Copies of the free x-rays were only $5 per sheet ($10 total), and the dentist I went to afterward actually found two other cavities (one larger than my suspected cavity) that should be watched or filled. As you've probably guessed, I won't be returning to Aspen. I only give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the x-ray guy and receptionist were both very nice. They will do everything within their power to have you spend extra unnecessary money. The secretary told me that the Doctor wanted to see me and when I got into the room for the visit with the Doc (which costs money btw), he started off by asking me "why are you here today?" They were going to charge me to see the oral surgeon for a consult to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Luckily for me he was backed up on the day of the appointment and I was cancelled. I got refunded my portion of the feel ($140, more cam from my insurance) and I went somewhere else where the surgeon saw me for free and it costs me less (out of pocket) to have all 4 wisdom teeth pulled than it did for a consult at Aspen. Definitely would NOT recommend this place! read more

I'm going to keep this short but feel the need to keep other people from being taken advantage of by this scam of a "dental practice." I had an absolutely terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Dedham yesterday. After taking X-rays, I had a quick assessment by a dental hygienist (which focused only on measuring my gum pocket depth- coincidentally explained by huge posters for the drug Arestin in every room). Then a quick exam by a dentist who said my teeth look great and I have no cavities. After the brief exam, I had to meet in an office with a lady, much like when you negotiate to buy a new car, to negotiate the price of any treatment. I have dental insurance, have lived in 4 states, and have been to many dentists over the years. I've always gotten an exam and cleaning for free with my dental insurance. The staff at Aspen Dental refused to clean my teeth unless I paid $1100 for a deep cleaning because they said I had 5 mm pockets in a few areas. While I switched practices to have a dentist closer to my new home, I took my Aspen X-rays to my old dentist the very same day and was told that the X-rays were terrible. My old dentist had to take new X-rays (yay, more radiation to my head!) and found early cavities that the Aspen dentist did not detect and gave me prescription toothpaste to treat them. My old dentist said my gums did not have pockets that warranted deep cleaning or use of Arestin (which research studies have not proven to be effective and should only be used after other interventions anyways). At Aspen Dental, I was refused beneficial treatment (any cleaning besides the $1100 one with Arestin), pressured into unnecessary treatment, and the actual problems were not detected. I am deeply disappointed and feel taken advantage of. Aspen dental should not get away with this unethical and deceptive practice. Stay away from these criminals. read more

OMG. I would give -0 stars if I could. My 89 year old mom needed new dentures and alas I was seduced by the fancy ads. The established price was reasonable but all of their ads state new dentures in 3 visits and here we are SIX visits later and still no dentures. I work and cannot keep taking mom for appointments. Today the receptionist had a very loud verbal argument with other dental techs. What a place. I am ashamed that I even recommended this place to my mom. Please DO NOT come here. This place lies and could care less about patients. These people ripped my elderly 89 year old mom off for 2300 and she has no dentures....excuse after excuse. DO NOT COME HERE. The story gets worse. After a very angry call to the office manager she assured us mom's dentures would be ready and gave us a Tuesday evening appointemnt. We got there on time only to be told not only were they not ready but we did not have have an appointment. I was really fuming and the district manager came out to speak to us. He was very apologetic but clearly does not have control of his office staff. he did offer a generous reimbursement. Today my mom returned again and FINALLY after 8 visits got her dentures but then the office manager wanted more money (the sum of the reimbursement). Are you kidding? So glad my brother a retired military officer was with her to straighten this out and demanded that all of her paerwork as well note that bill is paid in full but what an ordeal. DO NOT GO HERE unless you like wasting your time and waiting. read more

Everyone in the office I have talked to tells me different things and never gets back to me when they promised so. I've called more than 10 times and they still can't get a simple office transfer thing right. They also can never figure out I'm now under a new insurance but kept telling me I already used insurance benefits for the service I want (because no one listens carefully enough that I have a new insurance even though I said that least 20times), and always rush me to hang up. I trust Aspen Dental's brand but this Dedham office has really been disappointing and not living to the level of Aspen's quality I know. read more

i have seen a few different local dentists and was less than satisfied with costs, quality of work and treatment as a patient. Ed and his staff made me very comfortable from the moment i walked in. They explained everything well, they answered all my questions and made feel very comfortable about the life changing procedure of having a full upper denture. I recommend this office, as my wait times were fast and after having the fittings, the surgery and the followups. they have made me a raving fan with their exceptional service, especially considering i was nervous about having my teeth extracted and almost decided to suffer with what i had then to undergo the treatment. I am glad i did, as they have restored my smile and my quality of life. plus, they are able to make adjustments right there in the office, and having a one-stop dental solution makes all the difference to me. read more

Have had several dentures made by qualified experienced Doctors over the years. When I was due to have new ones there was an Aspen clinic that opened nearby. I figured their commercials were pretty impressive so I'll give them a try. It was apparent right from the beginning that the Doc had very little experience.Also, there was a guy that would on occasion check on the dentist and advise him on any tweaking that needed to be done. On several occasions, they would disagree in front of me. Not very professional. I have never seen the same dentist more than once. In three weeks I had an appointment to have them tweaked. I noticed that the technician took the drill bit out of the cabinet from a plastic device that held them much like the dermal in my workshop. When she was done she put it back in the same holder.No telling how many other patients had that in their mouths. I required 6 more visits before they got them right. After each visit, I was told that should do the trick. There was a different tech each time I went there. One barely spoke English. Another patient was waiting over 2+ hours for a dentist as someone forgot to schedule one that day. It is my opinion the dentist were last year interns. All were very young. Not all older dentist are great I guess but the odds will be in your favor if you do. read more

I got a $600 bill from aspen dedham office for 4 fillings. I called their office and the manager told me that is what I need to pay after they filed the claims to my insurance company. I called my insurance company and the rep. told me what I need to pay is $60 co-pay for the 4 fillings. I also did the wisdom teeth extraction there and the bill from aspen dental showing I need to pay $500. I talked to the billing manager, and he told me that the insurance company has reviewed the claims that that is what I need to pay out of pocket. I called my insurance company and the rep. told me the claims not in yet. I don't know what is wrong with their billing dept. but I definitely switch to another dental office. read more

This is the only time I have ever wrote a YELP review but I felt like I needed to. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My fiancé had a chipped molar tooth back in March. He went in the office at the Dedham location and they fixed/filled his tooth.While his mouth was filled with gauze and tools the dental hygienist insisted he give Dental Aspen 5 out of 5 stars on Yelp. My boyfriend felt awkward and wrote a review in front of her. Since this appointment his tooth has been very painful and sensitive to different foods. He went back today- 7/2/18 to get his tooth looked at. They told him they drilled too deep in his tooth back in March and hit a nerve. They told him he needed a root canal which cost $3,000 out of pocket. Never did they once tell him he could go a cheaper route and get his tooth pulled(which would have cost $53). They are very sneaky and will try to get every penny out of you. Very disappointed in Aspen Dental and would not recommend to anyone. Also, I called the receptionist and wanted to follow-up with the dentist and was promised a call back...you guessed it... no call back. Next dentist appointment will be with a dentist who is more knowledgable and who has more experience. read more

Everything was great until the hygienist came in. The receptionists were smiling and helpful, the dental assistant who took my x-rays was nice and quick, and I didn't wait for long. However, the hygienist Elaine McDonough kept making racist remarks and asked me about my religion and pointed out hers and kept talking to me with superiority about my background which made me angry and uncomfortable. My mom had an appointment today at 12:00, she waited an hour and twenty minutes to be seen, only to be told by the doctor she should expect a delay!!!!Her last appointment they told us we we're 45 minutes late and they could not take her, even though they wrote the wrong time on the appointment card!!! I was very pleased with my experience since I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time. The worst experience ever. I tried to schedule appointment on saturday as they said they are open one saturday a month and I said fine. I go there at the time i had it scheduled which it was 8:00am and the office was closed i waited until 8:30am still closed i came back at 9am still closed. I called them on monday they apologized qnd said had an emeregncy and had to close the office but the office was never open? Anyways i rescheduled for the next months saturday they were open that saturday. The dentist was nice did the check up and recommended teeth cleaning. I went to front office and she booked me for the saturday of the next month which was saturday august 13th, I show up at the office qnd office was closed. I just cant belive it they did it again. They wasted my time and scrwed my plans. Ill give them one star if there was 0 star option i would go for it but isnt. Does anyone know who accepts aetna dmo dental? I changed jobs and my company doesnt offer delta dental but aetna dmo and i am having hard time to find a good dentist who accepts this insurance. My prior dentist doesnt accept his insurance.
