Both of us (hub and I) resigned ourselves to the fact that we either go with cold showers in Arizona (which wasn't that bad this time of year) or use the resort facilities to shower! After settling in, Truma gave us Brett as one of the recommendations (certified to fix their water heater) to get it fixed while here. Spoke with Brett and he special ordered our parts (went on past experience for what was wrong) and came out to fix it. He gave us a very fair quote (especially labor costs) and we were set. When he arrived to fix it once the parts came in, low and behold, our heat sensor broke as well. He had to order that part overnight! The shipping costs were more than the parts. I blame Fedex for that gouge. Brett installed all the parts and then the unit and my hot water was back!!! I apologize to Brett, who is an honest guy and knows his stuff, for getting upset because of the shipping costs. That wasn't on him. He did what we asked and did a great job! Thank you Brett!

On July 4 a holiday I called Elizabeth at four corners she said bring it in and let's see if we can match it up or I will make you a great deal on a new toilet. When I arrived, I was probably greeted by Elizabeth. I showed her the valve I had and we looked on the shelf, but she didn't have that particular one. When she started showing me the new toilets, one of her guys from the back came up and asked to see the valve. hand it to him he went to the shop and came back a few minutes later with a new valve. I asked Elizabeth how much it was. She said it's not in our inventory so you can just have it. It was not till later that evening after I had installed the new valve that I saw the price on the package was $75. I don't know of any other dealer or Parts place that would have taken care of me the way she did, especially on a holiday. Thank you again, Elizabeth you really made a difference on our camping trip. I knew absolutely nothing about Garrick's, but put a reservation in off the Web/telephone some 60 days prior. So, the day of the reservation, I drove an hour South from Durango and rolled along dirt roads in Aztec, NM, eventually finding Garricks in what seemed a desolate area. The remoteness of the area was disconcerting, I'll have to admit....but I got out and walked in.... Garrick and his wife were...simply AWESOME. Kind, knowledgeable, and forthright people. They knew EVERYTHING about their rentals, and were informative, helpful and supportive both before, during and after the trip. Their rates were fair. Their guidance about what to expect, dead-on. Anyone looking for an RV in the Four Corners area -- please do consider this family-owned establishment. They are of the highest character, and are trustworthy of doing business with. Ryan at the KOA in Cortez gave me this card when I asked whether he knew of any RV services in the…read morearea. I called them, and left a message, and Mrs. Ellie called me back a short time later. I explained that my diesel generator wouldn't work and that I had problems with my automatic steps, antennae dish and some sockets on the dash didn't work right. She said that they generally don't work on generators but that they likely could help me with the other things. I worked with her to set up an appointment the following afternoon. Mrs. Ellie called and asked whether Craig & Todd could come earlier and I said, "Sure!" They were there 10 minutes later! I explained that I thought the problem with the generator was that it wasn't getting any control voltage and that the generator engine was likely fine. They helped me trace the voltage from the batteries, to the generator, and then within the generator to the control panel. Long story short - they pretty much ended up taking off the front of my RV so we could get inside the generator to the place where some electrical relays had flaky contacts. Todd fixed them and then we put the whole thing back together - I now have a functioning generator thanks all to them!!! They also straightened and fixed my bent automatic steps and the activation switch in the door. They then fixed a couple of "dashboard" electrical connections (12V ports and switches) before finishing up making sure my antennae rotator on the roof was unobstructed. All in all, I give them an 18 on a 5-point scale! They were personable and friendly from the start with the phone call with Ellie. I came to know that they have owned an RV park in the past and now enjoy helping others get things fixed. They will come to where you are and do their best to help you get things done. All I can say is that they didn't normally work on generators but they sure helped me and fixed mine -- and I am so appreciative!

We had tickets for the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge RR train ride. Employee Joseph offered to give me a ride to the train station after I dropped off the truck, and then to drop it back there after they fixed it. This was incredible customer support in a day and age when it's so hard to find. I'm sure McNeal's was booked like the rest of them, but he made time for us. We are so grateful.
