Needless to say, that was getting expensive. I told the guy at the front (who I presume to be the owner) and he responded "you definitely have a problem!" He further said that he would look into it. He looked up the belt in his system and cross checked it with the numbers on the piece of belt that I handed him. He had a NAPA belt delivered from across the street. After the belt was delivered he noticed that the belt was actually too long to leave room for adjustments. In other words, the belt would fit but detention adjusters didn't have any room left to make any additional adjustments. He told me that's what the issue was and he was going to go back across the street himself and get a shorter belt. This solve the problem permanently I hope. Think about it though. I took this vehicle to two other mechanics who just went by what their system said was the part and installed it whether it fit correctly or not then sent me on my way. These guys took the time to make sure that the part actually fit. They told me how much it would be up front and got me in and out in a little over an hour. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys! I highly recommend Hi-Tech Automotive!

It's so refreshing to know there are business owners who are not trying to pull one over on someone, especially in this economy! Within the past two years, I got a 2023 Volkswagen. My dad taught me about cars growing up, and since we always had American vehicles, we just took them to dealerships. Late December, my car had less than 17,000 miles and the VW dealership tried to charge me for new rotors and brakes which were over $700. Let's just say I definitely wasn't afraid to bring this up with my advisor since my rotors were clean. He then told me I just needed brakes which were almost $400. I might be a young woman, but I certainly do not like dishonesty ...maybe they did not expect me to know some basic things about cars. But I called up Arthur's shop right afterwards knowing that his shop was established and asked if he had some time to get me in to give me a second opinion. He got my car in right away and he took care of me. He got my brakes changed, confirmed my rotors were good and that they didn't need to be touched, and did so for a reasonable price. The mechanic said, I needed to replace the engine in my Audi Q5. I could not believe what was coming out of his mouth. I'm not a mechanic but a single cylinder not getting minimum compression doesn't sound like a total engine loss and this from an ASE certified mechanic. I was happy I get a referral here and a second opinion that was accurate. It turns out it was a bad fuel injector. Yes, better than replacing an entire engine. They have great mechanics here who are ASE & Audi certified. They have personable and professional Staff in Jennifer, JD & John. They offer a Veteran discount. sadly they don't have a loaner car option or provide drop off/pick-up transportation. Dutch, the owner, is a former 727 pilot with Eastern Airlines. I took my car in for an oil change and state inspection on 10/14/26. I was told that it failed…read moreinspection because the back brake pads weren't in spec and was asked if I wanted them to do them. I declined as I had just done the brakes a few months ago so I was skeptical about this but thought maybe one of the calipers was frozen. The next day I looked at the back brakes and even took the rear wheels off to get a better view. All 4 pads appeared to be close to new. I returned to the shop and talked to the manager. He talked with the techs then came back and said the inspector was new and that one of the techs looked at the brakes for her and said they need replaced. He also admitted that the tech was trying to increase his billing and the he would talk to him about it. I just wonder how many times this particular tech as padded estimates with work that was no needed. I would not go to a shop that retains a tech like this who has no ethics.
