    S11. Walnut Shrimp

Perfect walnut shrimp, cozy vibe, and the kindest service -- always a must-stop when I'm in Yuma

Everything can improve this was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten the only thing good was the broccoli besides this it was absolutely terrible

Arizona at its finest pine, saguaro And palms too! From the parking lot.

First time here. Parking is ample and shared with other businesses. Asian Star is located on the inside of the 'big Curve. Ya never know how well a new place for one of your favorite cuisines will turn out but we were hopeful! Seated immediately and given both Luncheon and Dinner menus (we were there on a Sunday at 2:00 pm and the restaurant was less than 1/4 full) . Lots to consider including Sushi, Sashimi and a variety of Bento Box meals. The sort of eggroll served here is the type We are accustomed to and we both noticed they had depth of flavor beyond most we've been served here locally so yeah!!!! Soups served didn't quite measure as hot As one would expect but were tasty. Both ordered identically Kung Pao Chicken and the chicken was tender but would have liked to have seen the waitperson to ask for chop sticks. She was a no show until she delivered the bill. The sauce flavorful carrots and celery but no bell pepper. Usually the crunchiest thing in Kung Pao is the peanuts on top but in this case the raw celery beat out the peanuts by a long shot! Several Thai dishes are on the menu and a fun assortment of appetizers. One of us enjoys sushi so looking forward to trying it here!!

    What an awesome place!

The food was excellent! My new favorite place! The miso souo was hot and tasty. The rice was hot, the salad cold and crispy, the California roll was perfect! The tempura was hot and crispy. My husband ordered the general tsaos. It was delicious! So much food for such a low price. We will be back!

First time to dine here. Extensive main menu with Chinese and Japanese dishes offered. Lunch menu served until 4pm--even on weekend. Our meal included crab Rangoon, Sushi and the Dragon and Phoenix Special from the Main menu. Portions are adequate. Prices are reasonable--they noted that they raised some higher to accommodate for inflation. Our favorites were the Sushi and the Phoenix/Dragon dishes. Both were delicious. Only drawback: There appeared to be more breading on the General Tso's chicken than there seemed to be meat. Service was friendly and attentive. Clean restaurant. Overall, very pleasant dining experience. Give them a try.

Went to dine in and the food was really good, my favorite being the kimchi fried rice. The regular fried rice is also good! I tried the tiger roll and I enjoyed the roll with the sauce but was not really a fan of the red stuff(spicy tuna?) on top of it (I still ate the whole roll). Would probably not order that roll again but I'd be open to try the other sushi rolls. The orange chicken was good as well, I prefer it over Panda Express orange chicken. The service was also really good. The atmosphere was good too and it felt really clean inside. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I ordered food to-go and provided pictures of those. Wonton soup is good but it has mushrooms so if you don't like mushrooms try a different soup! I would definitely come again. 5 stars because I enjoyed the food a lot.

So, I got a flier from Asian Star in the mail last week. I looked it over very carefully comparing the prices to Sprouts and Fry's. I went in today for a late lunch. I was amazed with the decor. It is beautifully done. Very modern and minimalist. Then I was immediately sat at a table and given a menu. After a brief gander at it (I knew what I wanted), I gave the waitress my order for 3 sushi rolls for $13.99. and soup or salad. It came out promptly! I dug in with those chop sticks like Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon! Delicious! So, you have to ask yourself, do you want expensive gas station sushi or authentic sushi reasonably priced in a wonderful environment? Go to Asian Star. It's grrrreeeeaaat!

Large serving! But reminded me of instant ramen, coincidentally a Korean mini-market shares the property. Broth and toppings were tasty but the noodles felt underpar compared to a ramen shop. -Dinner Bento Box (Beef Bulgogi). Standard bento box. Bulgogi had broccoli in it. Eggroll felt like it was frozen due to the doughy inside. -Sushi roll that I forgot what we ordered but it was good. -Sauces were available and variety of choices for your taste. -Overall a good experience. Recommend removing "Japanese food" from advertizements and keep it as Korean. I think the word Gozen is Japanese. I would like to return for: -The large Korean food options -The flavor and quality of the sashimi -But not for the ramen

The glowing neon "OPEN" sign is clearly visible from 4th Avenue. We love trying new restaurants…read moreas well as supporting our tried and true favorites. The buzz around Yuma and social media had been going on for sometime about Gozen. And so we arrived around 4:45 and parked among the other vehicles. The clear clean walkway to the glass entry where the OPEN sign hung is wide and long. This is a good thing! This allows a hostess to prepare to either meet the guests by opening the door and giving an outstanding Welcome , or to decide what sort of first impression he or she wishes to give on behalf of an establishment to arriving guests. When we opened the front door and entered the lobby we had great expectations. We were met with expressionless faces from four or five employees. Someone managed to utter "Are you looking for someone?" What an odd thing to say. All turned to wait for the answer. "We were hoping to be seated." The four looked at us and then to each other and smirking glances the group suddenly communicated something wasn't quite right. One spoke bluntly that they were NOT open. "Oh, perhaps we didn't read your sign correctly." As we pointed to the back of the bold word.in the glass entryway one of the group walked past us and turned it off while another stated they were not open. Talk about confused! We asked what their hours were and it was explained without any graciousness or any demeanor that would give any indication that there was any intent to represent Gozen as a place excited to be on the brink of doing business, that they were still preparing to do business. As the door closed behind us as we left the group began laughing hysterically. Glancing at my partner we both understood some truths about this establishment. First, they missed a unique opportunity to build excitement in the community of Yuma about their upcoming opening. Second, they failed to realize that they represent the restaurant even when they are not yet open for service, but on the property. Thirdly, In this current economy when so many new businesses, struggle, and fail, this group didn't realize just how important they are to the success of the business they represent. I really wish I could comment on their food, their menu their service, the ambience . We were made to feel unwelcome, we were treated without Basic hospitality and we were treated rudely. The bad taste left in our mouths as we returned to our vehicle remains. Perhaps there is a lesson or two to be learned here. Our take away from our encounter with the Group of Gozen employees will last a very long time. Not that it mattered to them beyond the good laugh they had.

As a patron who has supported Ah-So for years, I have always been a silent supporter--even during previous visits where the service was subpar, I chose to remain patient because we valued your establishment. However, tonight's experience from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM was a level of failure that I cannot stay silent about. Tonight was my daughter's birthday. We came to your restaurant to celebrate, but instead, we spent three hours navigating an ordeal of neglect: Total lack of urgency, we sat for over an hour before our existence was even acknowledged for drink or food orders. This isn't just "slow service"; it is a total breakdown of floor management. The birthday disappointment, my daughter was incredibly excited about the traditional birthday well-wishes. Despite being promised this by the staff, and despite other tables receiving attention, she was completely ignored. To make matters worse, the other party sharing our grill--who was also celebrating a birthday--was similarly forgotten. Watching the excitement fade from a child's face on her birthday is something a parent doesn't easily forget. Service incompetence, when food finally arrived, it was incorrect, requiring further delays. To end the night, we waited another 30 minutes for a check that never came. Both parties at our grill eventually had to physically stand up and hunt down a staff member just to pay our bill so we could finally leave. Dismissive management, when I attempted to voice these concerns to the manager, the response was cold and unhelpful. There was no attempt to validate our experience or acknowledge the disappointment caused to a loyal, long-term customer. I want to be very clear: I am not seeking a refund, a discount, or a gift card. I am writing this because I want to be heard. Tonight, Ah-So didn't just serve a bad meal; you turned a young girl's birthday celebration into a three-hour lesson in being ignored. As a regular customer, I am deeply saddened by the lack of care shown tonight. I hope this letter serves as a wake-up call for your team to return to the standards that made us loyal to you in the first place.

The dining area was busy on all 3 trips but on the one dine in occasion we were seated quickly. Seems, in Yuma in general, people eat and leave! The potstickers were so good I scarfed down 2 before I remembered to take a pic. Seem made in house and not frozen. Egg drop was fantastic. it was so good I added it to my lunch to go order too! The mongolian beef was well cooked and flavorful. It's pretty much beef, dried chilis, and a couple kinds of onion in a dark sauce. Very good! The Happy Family is great too. Chicken, bbq pork, and shrimp, with mushrooms and veggies in a light sauce. I like spicy so I added sriracha but that's just me. Our service for dine in was fantastic and attentive. My to go orders were ready on time and well packaged. Quick, easy, efficient. If you made me say something bad about my experiences, the worst thing I could come up with is "The fortunes in the cookies are pretty corny"! This will be my Go-To place for Asian food in Yuma!
