Spicy Eggplant
Kathrin J.

First of all- both employees were SUPER friendly. I dined by myself and they checked in often to make sure I got everything. Went with the server's recommendation and got the Spicy Eggplant with beef. Went medium hot- it wasn't hot at all (I do like spicy). So don't be afraid to order this, if you order it not spicy, it will just be good tasting. The eggplant was perfect, not overcooked and not greasy. It was a simple and well tasting dish. This, together with the excellent service: I will be back for sure.

Red curry very soupy and doesn't taste like red curry at all. Cashew chicken was salty. Aftertaste left chemical burnt sensation in mouth.

Ordered takeout, the red curry was very soupy and doesn't taste like red curry at all. Overall, very small portions for average $20/dish, other dishes were very salty, left a chemical burnt sensation in my mouth for an hour. We couldn't even finish half of the meal. My family and I were having stomachache after this meal. I would give negative stars if option available.

Tom Yum Fried Rice

I love this restaurant and it's the best place to get Thai food in Yuma. I've tried their pineapple curry, tom yum soup, drunken noodles, and tom yum fried rice and each dish was stellar. I will definitely be back and I recommend this restaurant! Service is fast and friendly!

This was my family's first time visiting the spot and every single one of them loved the food. This is 100% the Best Thai food in Yuma town. I highly recommend it. We had the red curry, yellow curry, Massaman curry, drunken noodles with chicken, orange, chicken, and chow mein. The server was attentive. The atmosphere is great very mellow vibes, really relaxing spot.

This thai restaurant is located in a little shopping center in the Foothills. It's a very small and intimate restaurant and I am a little claustrophobic so I probably wouldn't ever dine in. I did order take out from here and WOWZA, I was very impressed. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken, spicy basil with beef, egg rolls, and everything was so delicious. There was great, authentic flavors with good amount of spice.

We order yellow curry it look delicious and smells so good taste was Amazing . Absolutely we will come back for sure.

Service very good and friendly.Food was very yummy for sure we will come back again love this place

Pad Thai with soft tofu.

Food is 5 stars. The location / environment is clean and efficient but devoid of ambiance. Staff were attentive and prompt; language barrier was significant as I don't speak Thai but we muddled through. Back to the food, my Pad Thai may have been the best anywhere...and I've tried plenty. Perfectly cooked and seasoned (heat level 3), lush and fresh, elevated with a hint of sweetness, soft tofu was like custard (just how I like it). Delicious!

Food was quick, delicious, hot and affordable. Only wish was that the Pad Thai had peanuts, which mine did not.

The food is very good. Next time I will definitely order medium spicy, the mild was not mild but none. I had the drunken noodles.

Bland food at best. You can spice it up with some salt, MSG etc. very very pricey. $45 for two people.

It lacked a little on ambiance but it made up for it with their Pad Thai! Staff was friendly and I enjoyed my lunch.

I wish it was sausage gravy but it is just a good white gravy no sausage. But you can get some on the side. It's huge and we all shared from it. The chicken fried steak was good n crispy. I'll definitely go back when I am in Yuma. Pretty big portions too.

It was another 15 minutes before the "fish and chips "was brought to the table.. having replaced the french fries with a cup of chili, I checked it to see if it was hot it was!!! Was the coleslaw called?? it was!!! But as I looked at the three planks of fish, my heart sink. Greasy glisten of the tempera like batter concerned me.. the batter was tough and I was unable to cut it with a fork. The tartar sauce was tasty and with a squeeze of lemon on the fish I was delighted to finally have food. I was only able to eat halfway through the first piece of fish before I started peeling away the batter once all three were released from their tough greasy death shrouds... I was able to enjoy about three ounces of fish! The server was attentive and offered a fresh decaf coffee cup to go! I have no idea what was going on at Black Bear last night . Absolutely not what we have experienced previously. The chili was spicy. The coleslaw was fresh.. the 1st cup of decaf was deplorable! Better days ahead I'm hoping !

But what you'll find is a 5 star restaurant once you step inside. They have patio dining as well as tables inside. Each meal is prepared and plated with culinary skill. On this day, I had the curry shrimp and veggies. A sort of deconstructed Thai yellow curry dish. The plating made all the difference. The plate was served with a shaped mound of rice in the middle, with sauteed vegetables around the edges, green beans, carrots, zucchinis, onions, peppers and 8 shrimp placed around the plate on top of the veggies. The Yellow curry was poured over the rice for a unique plating. The shrimp were cooked nicely and everything was delicious. I have never had a disappointing meal in this place. I sat near the front door and had a duel with a relentless fly for a while that was a little annoying. But hey, sometime we deal with things in life for the greater good. A top notch , do not miss restaurant in my book and I recommend to everyone I know. This day I purposely left my phone in the car so I could take a real break on my drive from San Diego to Tucson.

I ordered the salmon because I was really interested in trying the mushroom risotto since I have become a recent fan of it at another restaurant. (Top Of The Rock) My salmon was good, seasoned well and the risotto was good but not overwhelmingly fantastic! I wouldn't order it again! I feel like I like it more puréed than a soft rice feel. The hubs had the "steak special" and it was SO HUGE that he could have easily had 2 full meals of pasta. Since we were traveling, we did not take our leftovers home, but they were worth it if we had been traveling back home that night. The ambience and service was on par with a nice upscale restaurant. I gave all of my leftover salmon to the local kitty cat that hangs out there at our table. Some people might not have liked it but he wasn't bothering anyone..... and loved the fish!
