We weren't treated very nicely today. We got there at 3:28 for the lunch buffet (ends at 3:30), and the manager/hostess wasn't at the check-in area. She conveniently returned at 3:30, and when we told her we had been waiting pre-3:30, she said "you got here at 3:30" and charged us the 18.99 dinner price. Crude, harsh, greedy...and sadly, we had been regular customers, even recommending the buffet and bringing family regularly. We are also generous tippers who appreciate the always kind waitstaff. Sorry for the workers who are very nice, but she lost our business today with the pettiness and the implication that I could not tell time while looking at my IPHONE. If she were a true hospitality professional, she would understand that bad customer relations will actually cost money: you treat people badly to make a penny and then lose thousands of dollars a year from non-returning business. First of all, the hostess was extremely rude from the get go. We walked in (5 of us) and she started to speak to us in Spanish. Not sure why because no one in my group spoke a word of Spanish and so to assume we only spoke Spanish was uncalled for. I asked for a table for 5 in very clear English so I was quite confused by this. It didn't stop there, she continued to speak only Spanish to us as if we didn't understand her as she walked us (speed walked) to our table. Then came the food experience, I personally love a good buffet and my friend said in the past she has enjoyed this place. Well everything that was supposed to be hot, was cold. We ate it out of hunger. Desserts were tasteless. As if this wasn't enough, once our drink server brought the check, she gave us like 2 minutes and came asking if we were going to pay. I handed her my card and she made it a point to show me where the suggested tip was. She brought back the processed bill and I completed it. I had planned on giving cash as a tip so when she noticed a zero on tip amount, she asked me, again in Spanish "no propina?" I was beyond shocked and taken aback. I told her I had cash. This place used to be excellent, however, I ate there the other night and I was charged 36 dollars on a Monday night just for two people I might have misread the hard to see the sign at the front. Anyways the food was mediocre and the service wasn't that great, in fact, plates would build up on my table before anyone would bother to take them. The hot tea was awful they made it way too strong. Besides watching you like hawks the food is great, the manager on shift short lady with short hair,kept peeping around the corner watching us ,or rather my son who we decided to get a to go box for and weigh it bc He doesn't eat much. She made its feel so uncomfortable as if we have stayed too long but having kids with you it generally takes longer and regardless they should not stare with no shame.it wasn't the waiters as much as management which was sad. I have not idea but I regret it because over the past month, I have been here twice and have left more than satisfied and the only disappointment is me having to stop myself from shoving food in my mouth like the voracious American my appetite wants to live out. I'm not a big fan of seafood, so I cannot fully comment on the oysters/shrimp/etc, but my boyfriend says that seafood delight is always a fun option to go to town on. I've been here 3 times. Service is better than most Asian establishments. There is a wide variety of foods for a reasonable price. I resort to crab legs and Mongolian BBQ. Mongolian BBQ is the way to go. Create your own noodles, with your choice of meats, veggies and sauce! Nice and steaming when the cook is done. For a quick service Asian style buffet this one hits the nail on the head! It was great! The food was cooked really well and they have so many great options to choose from! This place has around 7 or 8 buffet lines with both hot and cold food options! The food is really tasty and it has some of the best soups I've had at a buffet! They have a lot of fresh seafood and sushi as well as hibachi as well! Also if you have picky eaters or kids they have a little bit of everything from traditional Chinese to pizza and fries for kids! On the weekends they have fresh good crab, peel and eat shrimp, hot or cold crawfish, and other dishes! Visiting family in the Wesley Chapel area I stumbled across an advertisement for this place. With much trepidation (since I've had some extremely memorable buffet-inspired digestive episodes in the past) we tried the buffet. My absolute favorite: peanut butter chicken. Perfectly crispy breaded chicken breast strips smothered in a peanut sauce. Fresh tuna teriyaki at the sushi bar (nice fresh sashimi, and nigiri too) and an amazingly large buffet. Worst: fried rice was tasteless and old. Desert bar was sad... but um not much into sweets. I went back and forth for a while adding and removing stars. 3 1/2 might be a more accurate rating, but you can't give half stars. Well, you see, I can speak Chinese. She told the other waitress that why did we only gave her only $15 when she work so hard! I was thinking Wtf?!?!?!...she worked hard?, she only came when our dirty plates are pilling up and giving her $15 for just coming over and pick up our dirty plates is plenty. She didn't even refill our drinks btw. Every time we went here, I've notice that these Chinese waitress are rude and all they care is how much you give them for tips! And they don't even do a good job! So here are the tip for those Chinese waitress: Do a good service and we'll give you LOTS of TIPS!!! I'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars comparing it to other buffets. Came here with my bf, his 3 kids (ages 7-11), and my mom and her bf. We got there around 5 PM (don't judge, we are all old and we like to eat early okay?!?!). 7 of us got seated right away. It seemed like there was a designated room with bigger tables for larger parties. There was a lot of different options of course and everything looked good. All the food was super hot, which is always a good thing. The main highlights were the crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, clams, and crayfish. The crab legs were decent sized and had good color. They were bright and did not look brown and shrived like some other buffets I have been to. They also always had them replenished. The peel and eat shrimp were of good size and tasted very good. They had a lot of clams, they were all small but still very good. The crayfish were the best I've ever had. They were so seasoned on the outside and inside and they were plump and just really good. We were so surprised at how good they were! All of the seafood items were always replenished when we walked by which is kind of rare for buffets. They also had sushi, a make you own stir fry area, all the traditional chinese foods, ice cream, other dessert, fruits, as well as American food for people who don't like the other stuff. I debated whether to rate this place a one or two. Yes, I know it is an 'Asian Buffet' and can't expect 5 star food, but I really have gone to decent Asian buffets. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them. We went for lunch, and during the week, it's $8.99, and there is a 10% senior discount, and I also saw a discount in a local flyer. The Sushi is pretty much buffet quality, which translates to low quality and pretty much tasteless. The dimsum (potstickers and suimai) tasted like it was made from low grade meat and didn't go past a bite to taste it. I usually eat what I take on a buffet, but not so if it doesn't taste good. All the fried food was extra heavy on the batter, and the beef had that soft heavily marinated texture. The best things I ate were the sautéed fresh mushrooms, although they needed seasoning, fresh green beans, sautéed bean sprouts, and the fried chicken wings. I was hoping the baby clams would be good, but they lacked seasoning as well. The bourbon chicken was dry and crusty, way better at the mall food court. The sesame balls were nice and chewy. You may be wondering why I didn't rate this one star, but our server was great, and I usually rate one star when I get dirty silverware, dirty glasses or dishes, or bugs. Also, my boyfriend liked the ice cream and the cold mussels, so it squeaked by with two stars. Not returning. Good generic Chinese buffet The food (4/5): Good high quality food. It all tastes real and its not nasty. They cheap out on some of the desserts, but that is expected. If you are hungry and are in the tampa area, this place is a must. Its always hot, fresh, and well seasoned food. Their bourbon chicken is amazing, you have to try it! The staff (4/5): Its a buffet, don't expect great service or to know the serving staff. They bring drinks and they don't small talk so it seems a bit weird at first. Again, its a buffet and this is on par with all buffets. This isn't the best I've been to but its not the worst. The price (3/5): Lunch is a 5/5 price but dinner is a 2/5 price. I could have a nice steak dinner instead of their dinner price. Its kind of an insane jump. You miss the mark and you go from an average priced meal to breaking the bank. The location is not nice enough to charge $17 a person + drink. Its in a shopping mall, looks aren't everything, but I cant bring myself to spend dinner here. NOTE: I don't like or eat seafood so this may change your perspective on this section. Overall (4/5): Still the best lunch buffet in the area. I drive out of the USF area just for this good food.
