Best Chinese take out we have had in the area so far! We have tried several and this place is winning. The sweet and sour sauce are really good. The fries rice is flavorful. The breading on the shrimp has a nice salty taste which goes really well with sweet and sour sauce. The crab rangoons are great! My kids also loved the dumplings (like potstickers). Been frequenting this take out place for years and the food has been acceptable for NY style take out. However, the last few times the food has been exceptionally good. All the dishes we've gotten have tasted fresher and more flavorful. Something seems to have changed for the better over the last 6-9 months. Whatever your doing keep it up. read more

Every restaurant has its own version of Hunan chicken. Golden China adds: celery, broccoli, carrots, onions, bell peppers, and water chestnuts to theirs. I didn't expect so many vegetable fillers and it wasn't as hot (spice wise) as I had hoped. The portion was a little small even for a lunch special but it tasted good. I'll be back to try their other dishes. Service was fast and prices are affordable. Lunch specials start at $7.50. read more

First, I am a very picky person when it comes to Chinese food. I eat it mainly because of my husband. That being said, the food here was AMAZING! We chose this by random but will be eating there again! The egg rolls were nice, crisp and had a wonderful flavor. The honey chicken and sesame chicken were soooo good. Pork fried rice was perfect. I've eaten at this place many times. The customer service from the lady who typically answers the phone is never pleasant. however, this last time was absolutely horrible. I wasn't on the phone with her for 60 seconds and she was super annoyed because I am trying to clarify my order and what all comes with it. She kept over talking me. She was rude. I finally had enough and I told her she was very rude and I will not be ordering from this place again. I hung up. How do you get frustrated with someone who you haven't even been on the phone with for 30 seconds, because they're trying to clarify what comes with the order that they are paying for? If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant to just hit the spot, Golden China is a place to try out. It was by no means the best Chinese food I have ever had but I enjoyed it enough. I got the sesame chicken dinner which came with an egg roll and fried rice. I am not a big fan of fried rice with peas and this was a little dry. Additionally the chicken was a little dry. The egg roll was good but had chunks of carrot which made for an odd combination. I also got the wonton soup and I enjoyed that. Again, this isn't earth shattering, best you've ever had Chinese food but it hit the spot and my craving was fulfilled. read more

The food and customer service are absolutely terrible!! She gave us the biggest attitude over hot oil and soy sauce, which should have been included with alll the food we ordered from these people. For $10 for a lunch bourbon chicken with soda, and fried dumplings this was a great deal. The food was hot and fresh, the dumplings delicious, and the bourbon chicken had a great flavor but was a bit tougher than I prefer. I wish they had delivery. I have been to Golden China before and it hasn't been bad, but this time the food was not so good. I went really late and ordered chicken with broccoli. The broccoli was fresh, but the chicken had a weird texture to it. My wife didn't eat her dinner and I ended up eating mine, which ended up upsetting my stomach. The chicken didn't taste like chicken, almost like a pork. The service was really good, but I am not sure what happened to the chicken. It didn't taste like it. At first I thought that it wasn't cooked all the way, so I cooked it some more, but it was still the same gummy texture. Not coming back. read more

Place is located in a Walmart shopping plaza, right next door to Game Stop. Inside they apparently are thrifty and prefer not to use the air conditioning. The restaurant inside has a set of about 6 tables that each seat 4. It's fairly clean inside but the kitchen staff sure looked very sweaty lol. Overall, it was very friendly service, despite the broken english (as you would expect). Ordered sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. They served it all on a foam hinged take-out container and it was a very generous amount of rice. The sweet and sour sauce came in a separate sealed foam container. It was so much food that I could not finish it all. I also got a coke can. The cost was about $12. Food took about 10-15 minutes to get, it was quite the wait. I rate this place 3 stars, mainly because of the wait and because it's your typical run-of-the-mill shopping plaza style chinese restaurant. I would recommend for you if you have time to spare. read more

I definitely was not disappointed with my overall experience. The place is very clean and well maintained from what I could see (the entire kitchen is visible from the customers' perspective). I ordered the sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice which were both delicious. I also grabbed an order of crab rangoon because that's pretty tough to mess up IMO. I give it about a 6.5/10. Pretty standard for these types of quick Chinese joints. I had a full belly and a smile after eating from here; can't really ask for much more. read more

Really tasty Chinese! I am a vegetarian and can't always find tasty Chinese due to the sauces having meat or fish; however, they will make a curry sauce that is vegetarian if you request it.
