A cute cozy hidden bar in canal street. Worth going. Happy hour menu is amazing. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. The food was good and filling if you get a few apps. Definitely would go again.

Ordered lychee martini, whiskey sour & lemon drops. Everything was nice & strong. Food is great. Must get clams casino! Raw clams is fresh. We also ordered chicken wings but forgot to take picture. It was very juicy. Will definitely go again! Staffs were super friendly. Happy hour ftw

What a fun venue to host a birthday party in the basement! Karaoke anyone? When you first walk in, it's basically a bar; however, if you go downstairs, it has an open karaoke stage and the space can accommodate about 30 people comfortably. It has English and Chinese songbooks. Or simply ask the DJ to play your songs which is so much easier. Fried chicken wings were so crispy and flavorful! Baked clams were also good. The linguine with clam meat was a bit salty but not bad. Heard lychee martini was awesome. If you are looking for a place to chill and either entertain or be entertained, this is a fun place to be. Service was good too.

Blue point oysters were fresh and perfect

Well this is my new Chinatown bar can't say enough about Allen the bartender and the staff in th he kitchen. That salmon an steak were to die for along with those mash potatoes ( think it was 2 sides with an entree... amazing price. ooh the happy hr food was just as good blue point oysters for 2$ each and grill shrimp for 2$ each with really nice garlic butter.

$20 Friday steak special topped with mushroom sauce paired with mashed potatoes. Recommend medium rare or even rare. Decent meal

Happy hour everyday 3-7pm with dollar oysters, clams, apps, and other discounted items- most notably the clams casino. Mixed drinks also discounted. Clams are delicious and fresh here, either raw or cooked. Steak special for $20 on Fridays for a nice steak paired with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Very friendly staff and atmosphere and plenty of enthusiastic regulars. Come knowing what you're coming for- cozy bar atmosphere, unexpectedly good food, drinks, and conversation, though it's a bit loud. There's also a cute doggy mascot here if you're lucky. Great companion and makes food taste better as she licks her chops staring adoringly at your food.

Lychee spritzer was such a delightfully unique and refreshing mock-tail

Fantastic & friendly bar service, lively atmosphere. I didn't venture into karaoke, but you can hear it at the bar and it was jumping. Will definitely come back next time I'm in NYC.

If you want a fancy place, go elsewhere. This is a blue collar, down to earth Chinatown bar. Frequented by English speaking blue color, chinese workers, with occasional black and white guys. It is the only place for a bar with an happy hour that's serve the best clam casino you could ever find in New York City. It is made of minced pork with bacon put on a little neck clam, and roasted from the high flame so that it is charred on the meat, but the clam is barely cooked. You ended up with a very tasty roasted, garlicky meat on top of a very fresh Little neck clam. A little bit juice at the bottom of the shell finishes your palate like a bit of leftover of clam sauce, as if like a leftover of a linguine clam sauce. Guarantee you will not find anything like that in the New York City. Also, there is a fried chicken wings dish, crispy on the skin, clean and don't ask for any source, May, the bartender, would slap you if you do so. It is so delicious, after 2 hours, the skin still crispy. They also serve a steamer clams dish by the pound, fresh and unbelievable. Right by the court house downtown near Chinatown and Columbus Park. It is a unique and classic place that you will not find anywhere else in the city. Again you looking for ambience and fancy stuff go elsewhere. You want a solid , Blue Cross drinking Establishment with great snack food, this is it. When you're there, must ask for May, say hello to her.

This bar is kinda all over the place. Their appetizer menu is a weird combination of Chinese snack foods like dumplings and egg rolls, coupled with Italian side dishes, and raw clams. They have a happy hour that runs from 4-7p where they have $1 apps and a discounted drink menu. After stopping by once or twice late at night for a nightcap, I decided to try out the happy hour with a friend. BIG MISTAKE. It was absolutely packed with people, I've never seen this place so busy and ill equipped to serve everyone. There was everyone from their typical older crowd to young professionals to a bunch of little kids eating dollar apps next to the bar. There was also this random dog that was sitting alone in the corner scared out of its mind from all the noise, I think it belonged to one of their workers. I don't think they were really prepared for this rush on a Friday night, so service was really slow and it took forever for just our first round to come out. The drinks were pretty strong though, but at $7 for a well drink during happy hour I wasn't really impressed. Overall, this place tries to cater to too many different crowds and their service suffers. They need to streamline their menu and be more efficient cause waiting 20+ mins for some whisky and a mixer isn't worth it.

That's a roach, the waiter then came and killed it with their bare hand. Then said absolutely nothing about it.

WARNING ROACH/LACK OF HYGENE: The grade pending should have been a flag, however my girlfriend needed to use the restroom and I wish she would have peed in the park in front. I'm sure the hygiene there would have been better. We let the waitress know about the roach and they came to kill it bare handed. The person who brought our food over did this. IN FRONT OF US. The servers then said nothing and laughed behind the bar. The owner laughed too, awful service and worse cleanliness. DO NOT EAT HERE. PICTURE HAS ROACH BEFORE THE WAITER CAME TO KILL IT WITH THEIR BARE HAND.

The bar isn't bad, but averagely expensive for the amount of alcohol you get. There's also a open mic karaoke downstairs, $1 per song which is great! My issue was the owner really. She sits at the bar and eats her customers food which they paid for and gets drunk with them at 8pm which is fine, but she leaves her dog at the bar the entire day (I've been here on 2 occasions at different times). The dog is very cute and well trained and doesn't bother anyone but but last night she was drinking with other customers and the dog peed on the floor and it was hard for people to walk where the dog was sitting, most had to jump over her. When my boyfriend went to tell her that she needed to clean after her dog she was too drunk to process it. I like the place just not the owner. If you do end up going there, ask for Peter, he makes good drinks.

The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

It's not your typical lychee martini. It has Aperol and pineapple, which gives it a great flavor. My only note is that I wish it were a bit stronger. For appetizers we had the yellowtail, which is a must get. It was delicious. We also had the lobster spring rolls, another great dish, and the crispy wontons, which were good but not my favorite compared to everything else. For our entrée we got the beef tenderloin, another must get. It was amazing, super tender, and melts in your mouth. We had it with the fried rice, which was solid. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwich, which was different in the best way and extremely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the cone "buns" were perfection. Overall, this place is gorgeous and the food matches. I would definitely return. The service was also great, the perfect balance of letting you do your own thing and truly enjoy your evening while still checking in. It is pricey. We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

Be aware that the lighting is dim and the background noise is loud! The front bar room is so loud that you have to shout with your guest. Our party of 6 was seated in a tiny booth which we had to ask for an additional chair to accommodate us. Service (5/5): We were able to get someone's attention to order and we were refilled on water often. The food was organized by appetizers and entrees that arrive all at the same time. The wait between ordering and food felt reasonable to short. The waiter also specified that certain dishes quantity (i.e. potstickers) could be increased to accommodate our party size for an extra cost. Food (5/5): TLDR; every dish was honestly SO good; I was surprised and will rank the items by 'must get' to skippable: Short Rib Bao Bun (3 pc): The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The bao bun was soft. The sauce was thick and worked well with the short rib. Pork Potstickers (5 pc): I preferred this over the lobster and scallion dumplings. The exterior skin is pan-fried with a nice glaze, hint of truffle. The bite was umami from the creaminess of the Parmigiano Reggiano. Chicken Satay (3 pc): The 3 pieces of chicken were relatively large, very tender, seasoned well. They were well complemented with the peanut sauce that is worth keeping to dip into other things! Don't sleep on the side of spicy cucumber salad, which was so well balanced in tartness and flavor. Pad Thai: This is one of the best Pad Thai I've ever had! The flavors are bursting, with a balance of sweetness, nuttiness from the peanuts, and tartness from a squeeze of lime. Peking Duck for 2: This dish is definitely more than enough for our party of 6 and appeared to be a half serving of the whole duck. The duck pieces are pre-cut for us to self-assemble into the wraps (not the usual bao bun but like thin tortilla wraps). I think I counted 8 wraps? Triple Pork Fried Rice: The rice has a lot of depth and generous chunks of pork. The rice is thicker than regular jasmine with a more chew which I liked. Dragon Tail Spare Ribs: Although this has a nice flavor, handling with your fingers makes them super sticky for your whole dining experience. The restaurant should give out wet towelettes if this dish is ordered!! Meat was tender and easy to chomp off the bone. Tuna Tartare: A small quarter-sized tartare dollop is served atop a small cube bread. The fish was fresh, presentation was beautiful. Was hoping for more tartare for the price point but it was very good. Overall, the dish was not filling so would skip if the party is hungry. Lobster and Scallop Dumplings: Great flavor with reasonable chunks of meat inside. Just preferred the potstickers a lot more! Bok Choy: Pieces were chopped in half and cooked with a nice crunch. Topped with something that gave it more texture. The garlicy taste was forward (in a good way). Rainbow Roll: While it was fresh and the individual pieces were large in portion, this felt like any other sushi roll. Skip this! Side of White Rice is $9?! That's theft and is skippable The amount of food ordered was probably a little more than what we needed but glad we ordered as many as we did.
