Compared to Vietnamese food in the U.S., it tasted lighter and healthier than what I'm used to in the Bay Area. The owner and staff were lovely and very accommodating. Highly recommended. Merci Anh! Merci Anh!.

This is a definite hit with a good range of dishes and great service. We had 3 starters and 3 mains between 3 and the nems, summer rolls and chicken curry we're stand-outs although it was all good. We had Saigon beer which added to the experience. Service is excellent and attentive from the couple who appear to run it together with extra help with ordering and prompt additional lettuce when we ran out. My only down on the place was that it could have been spicier in places although I'm used to travelling in SE Asia. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

It comes with a small bowl of chicken broth, which is delightfully flavorful. The chicken is tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The crab omelette is the crabbiest omelette I've ever had at a Vietnamese restaurant (which to be fair is usually in the U.S.). I knew to expect amazing Vietnamese food in Paris so I was not disappointed. It's a narrow restaurant with very little seating so just be prepared it may not be ideal for large groups - unless they have the terrace seating set up - which they did over the summer. Service was solid though I generally feel like Asian restaurants pay minimal attention to service. Overall, I highly recommend - especially if you need a spot during a bank holiday when many other restaurants are closed.

True to my reputation as a fighter of the impossible, I took my courage with both hands to find a small address at affordable prices. As fortune favors the brave, I was not disappointed with Mouffetard Saigon, a small Vietnamese canteen on the Place de la Conterscarpe. Menu strictly unreadable because in the local idiom. Fortunately, the French-English translation provides a suitable solution. I did not take any risk with shrimp donuts as starters. A bit spicy and fat. All that I love. For the dish, I was attracted by the Banh Chu'ng (but called Com Goi La Sen on the menu!), The Vietnamese version of chinese Lo Mai Kai: that is to say glutinous rice containing elements from shrimp to chicken, sometimes pork sausages, etc. It depends on the chef! The whole thing is wrapped in a lotus leaf and steamed. It was succulent, much more flavored than the Chinese versions I could taste, more herbs and spices. I unfortunately did not have time to take a dessert. Addition according to the district at 26 euros for 1 person with a beer.
