I would highly recommend Shane Xiang from Flyhomes. Being a 1st time home buyer is not easy in a…read morehyper competitive real estate market like Seattle where things move very fast, and multiple offers come in before the offer review date. Shane always made himself available to tour houses when they were being listed. This gave us a chance to tour houses early giving us time to think and decide on next steps. Shane provided comprehensive review during the tours, covering quality, builder, materials used, appliances, potential upgrades/fixes, etc. that was very helpful while comparing different houses. The research team did a good job compiling the background details of the house and comp analysis. During the offer stage, Shane helped coming up with a strategy, but never put a lot of pressure, if we were not comfortable. He was patient during the entire process and always answered questions as soon as possible. He was always on top during the negotiations in terms of getting updates from listing agents which helped fine tune our offers. Even though it took a few attempts, Shane was always supportive and was open to discussing what could we do better next time. I learnt a lot during this process. Our winning offer was a Flyhomes cash offer, which was not the highest offer but the fast and smooth closing offered by the Flyhomes team secured the win for us. It's definitely worth a shot in this market. I would also like to thank Nicholas Anderson from Flyhomes Mortgage, who was very patient in running calculations multiple times before we made offers and helping with hypothetical scenarios. Having all the data before making offers helped us make informed decisions. That being said, there is always room for improvement. The app UI can improve a bit (in terms of how quickly new house listings notifications are sent out) and sync between multiple teams within Flyhomes can improve further. To conclude, I would highly recommend Flyhomes to 1st time home buyers in competitive real estate markets for a one stop shop solution.

Figure something out ! Their California agent Christina Felix is very unprofessional and only thing she did was stressing out the costumer , when we sign the contract she was very pushy and didn't explain clear enough. We agreed the seller stay in the property with 3 week rent back, but agent told them it's free without being clear to us , which on the contract shows as blank , which does not mean $0- and she later claims something on the contract says " licensed fee $0" means rent back free. They are using undirected term to trick people who doesn't understand the actual meanings. After we complain to the Flyhomes , they said they can't cover our loss, and not responsible for the mistake, and they start asking us if we want to back out the offer ( that way they can take our earnest money and buy the house , resale it, then make profit out of it ) we are beyond annoyed and very frustrated because we are in the middle of buying this house , we love the property, but Flyhome is just very unprofessional, and has no idea what they are doing, miscommunication with lender ,buyer , seller , ..etc . I highly suggest people who is thinking use them, think twice ! By the way , their mortgage interest rate is completely rip off, DO NOT Use them

The house had undergone some recent updating, but we wanted to knock down a few walls and get rid of some carpeting. After a while it became clear that we were doing an almost full remodel of the main areas of the home! The Moon Construction Partners team was so great to work with though. David walked us through a lot at the beginning of the project, then handed us over to Joseph M (who was the one that did the most work on the house). They gave me a fair pice on their proposal and they stayed on time and stayed within their budget. It was very important that they kept to their time and budget. I can't say enough good things about them. They were experienced, efficient, honest, and respectful. Joseph M. is the owner but he is an expert in the Home Remodel Field. They worked on the house before we moved in, so they got to know our neighbors before we did, and they represented us really well. We've heard about how friendly they were, how professional, and how respectful they were of the neighbors and neighborhood. The work they did was really top-notch. I've learned to have a very keen eye for small details now (thanks to Joseph), because MCP notices every small little thing and they don't settle for less than perfect. As mentioned earlier, the house had undergone some updating before it went up for sale, and thank goodness we had MCP come in afterwards; they cleaned up so many things that the previous contractor did wrong or poorly...it seemed like every time they opened up a new wall we found something else that was wrong (to quote the electrician, "this is one of the best hack jobs I've ever seen, but it's still a hack job.") We went into the project with a vague idea of what we wanted (remove walls and carpeting), and as the project grew, Joseph M did an excellent job of walking us through options, offering advice and guidance when it was needed, and educating us throughout the process. Both David and Joseph M. were more than willing to go above and beyond what I would consider 'normal' customer service to get the job done, and to make sure we were completely happy with how the project turned out. They even salvaged siding from another job that was due to be thrown out in order to give us the warm and wood-sy man-cave we both wanted! One of the best parts was a custom-designed and built wine storage drawer under the stairs; it holds over 50 bottles of wine, and easily slides under the stairs to maximize the space and allow for more storage. It's definitely one of the best talking points of our whole house. It's been 4 months since they completed, and there's not a day that goes by that we don't stop, look around, and exclaim "I love our house." We really do, and I know that it is because of the care, craftsmanship and quality that Moon Construction Partners put into it for us. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to do a remodel (or new build), regardless of how big or small.

However, our overall experience with them was unsatisfactory. Admittedly, our remodel was problematic and revealed challenges we hadn't anticipated. However, common oversights and miscalculations by H2D resulted in generated revenue for H2D and added expense and time to our remodel. At the beginning of the project, H2D called for a meeting so we could discuss key design aspects of a particular room. The plans that H2D created after that meeting failed to reflect the very specific design choices we had made. Additionally, H2D miscalculated a key structural measurement that cost us time and money with our contractors (and it was a mistake that we, with no architectural background, were able to clearly see). H2D also provided plans with handwritten notes that we and 2 contractors could not clearly read. We asked the architect to make the notes legible, which was our expectation from the onset. She made them legible, but charged us an additional $1,200 for the changes. After receiving the invoice and us questioning the charge, the architect stated that she "did not work for free." We asked her to consider reducing the charge by half. She agreed to a 16% reduction. The next invoice we were charged hourly every time a contractor called about our project. H2D managed to recuperate that 16% discount (and then some) by fielding our contractor's questions. Our last dealings with H2D were when we discovered they had provided the wrong plans to a contractor without key revisions. At this point, all parties involved decided it would be better to deal with our structural engineer and bypass H2D entirely. A relationship with an architect is a critical component to a remodel. We had hoped that our architect would take responsibility for poor work and provide helpful customer service (other significant examples lacking in these areas are not included in this review). The continual errors made by H2D, combined with navigating the architects' temperament, made for a sour experience that aggravated an already stressful experience of a home remodel.

We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. We love the results, and several people have commented that the addition looks like it should have been there all along. We can't recommend Wise Choice highly enough!

We found the perfect lot and I had a vision of what we wanted there. We interviewed three architects and Carl blew us away. (He was also very busy with other projects.) So after meeting him, we knew immediately that we wanted to hire him for the house. Carl doesn't take on multiple projects, so we felt pretty lucky that he was able to take ours. Carl asked a lot of thoughtful questions to drill down on what we valued in a home. He was interested in flow, size, budget, the view, style, room count... We had a lot to think about. Because of the thoroughness of his questions, he had a great feel for the project immediately. After each breakthrough, Carl would come over with the latest design. One of my favorites came to him while trying to sleep. He was always creative and excited about our home. He blew us away with his tissue paper designs and he often had more than one to choose from. Carl is very easy to communicate with. He understood the changes we made. He was efficient with his time, with our time. He visited the job site during construction, often. I feel he had a great relationship with our builder and the contractors on-site. And almost everyone building our home remarked at the wonderful design. If you are looking for a custom home, Carl is the guy. I marvel at what he created. His design offers a view from all five bedrooms, our kitchen and dining area, the living room and the lower TV room. Our bedrooms are situated away from the noisy street. Thankfully we went against his recommendations, because his team knew nothing anything about plumbing or electrical codes. We failed multiple inspections on both and had to change our plans throughout. Next, his team never came. They only arrived after noon. Some days they would come for 15 minutes and leave. When they did come, they often 'went to Home Depot' and would return 4-5 hours later or never return. They also spit on our floors and had no respect for our house. The team who did 90% of the work also quit at the end of the project. Gil did nothing but evade questions or even complain about his own workers but do nothing about it. His worker who quit also openly complained about him not paying them. At one point, we went 5 days with zero contact from Gil only to reach out to him and have him reply that we were ready to schedule an inspection, which could have been scheduled an entire week prior had we known. After passing our final inspection, we had to wait two weeks for someone to come to finish the job. The original team built our walls at an angle, requiring them to tear down a tiled and completed shower to redo. Our ceiling is left slanted. They also didn't insulate any of the walls, which was only partially fixed on the wall the second contractor tore down, yet we paid for it all. We were told an estimate of 2 months and the job took almost 8 months mainly due to his people working on other jobs and poor communication from Gil. You will have to be on top of everything and keep a list of things they promise, or they will be forgotten. Unless you reach out to Gil, he will never reach out to you. The final job itself was good, but the process was painful.
