I ordered the Chocolate Cupcake and the Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake (3.5/5). The cupcakes were light and fluffy. They were beautifully decorated and were not too sweet. I liked how they used dark chocolate as well for the chocolate cupcake. The strawberry shortcake had a strawberry jam filling which was a delightful surprise. I do wish that they were a bit more moist. The butter cream frosting was smooth and creamy with a silky texture. It wasn't overly sweet either which I enjoyed. Overall, a nice bakery that has a variety of selection from cakes to breads to deli.

In fact she offered a pice of jerk chicken so we can try and see if we liked it for next time (Holy smokes it tasted good. Just the right amount of heat and the flavour was just amazing). We ordered a prepared meal (Beef shank) with Rice dish and I'm sorry I can't remember what it was called). Just wow. Very tender pieces of beef and the rice was just delicious. The entrees had cooking instructions and the recommended time temperature. At first I was skeptical as I really don't like eating food that needs to be reheated. But boy was I wrong. It was delicious and to be honest, I couldn't tell the difference whether it came off the oven or not. It was that good I will definitely be visiting the place again and I can't wait to try the other meals. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays they have smoked ribs and wings I'm told. Haven't tried it yet but I look forward to it. This is a hidden gem with top notch staff.

Travelling along Hwy 400? Check out Imperial Meats!…read more On the way to Barrie/Collingwood, we decided to pass by Tanger Outlets which has Imperial Meats. I was craving a sandwich and they had a variety of sandwiches to offer, such as Grilled Paninis, Montreal on Rye, etc. I was debating between the Assorted Italian and Montreal on Rye. Food: Montreal on Rye - It did not disappoint. The hefty portion of thinly sliced smoked meat in the grilled rye bread satisfied my cravings, and I also decided to add pickles, mustard, and mayo for my preferences. Service: The staff were friendly and quite efficient for a Friday brunch hour. Ambience: - decent amount of seating in front of the store - large selection of other goods, such as strudel, meat sticks, cheese, soft drinks, etc If I'm in the area, I'll return and try out their Assorted Italian or even purchase another Montreal on Rye, or both!
