I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased. I should have known when I went to the store and was ignored by every male sitting behind the service desk. NOT one even made eye contact with me. An associate from across the room came to help me.! I bought a chair and couch. They did not have couch in show room. The chair was, which I sat in. Pretty comfortable! I get this furniture delivered. Do I sit in it before they leave, NO! I did AFTER they left and what the heck, this is nothing like it was in the store it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE furniture I have ever owned. I have a couch with a recliner that I I bought April 24, 2020. I am a widow who lives alone and have been living part time in Arizona. The recliner part of the sofa broke. When I went to the store to see what could be done, they told me they were only in sales. when I called customer service first I lost contact, then the lady said she would call me back and asked if this was a good number, but I have never heard from them. I purchased a mattress, bed frame and night stands. Spent several thousand dollars on them. My delivery was backed up by 1 week. No big deal. But when the delivery team arrived they came in with a broken headboard with no intention of telling us. Actually tried hard to hide it. They didn't have the hardware with them and my "white glove service" of set up was obviously not completed. When I refused to sign, they forged my signature and left! On their way out, peed in my driveway!!!!!! I had to drive 2.5 hours to get the hardware from the distribution center, to get home and WAS NOT GIVEN ALL THE HARDWARE! So here I sit with a broken bed, not all the hardware and still can't get confirmation of when my bed will be delivered and set up properly. Not to mention where is the monitory refund? Three weeks after delivery I am still waiting for my furniture to be assembled together. The company keeps insisting my phone number is wrong on the account and they have no record of me calling them when I did call almost every three days, because I let them resolve the issue every 72 hours which I was told to do. Further action will be taken to the company if this issue is not completed for incompleteness of a product provided by a company that the customer, myself, paid for and yet not received services. My mom and I have been calling nonstop with Ashley Furniture HomeStore to assemble this last piece of furniture that the movers refused to put together based upon delivery. As of today, my mom called them again as they promised to call us back within 24 hours, the woman was brutally honest that Ashley Furniture HomeStore will not be coming out to put this together and will not be holding any responsibility. I was told that I would get a refund of $1,100 for my delivery fee, but instead I get $100. Any advice how to take action against the company or even legal advice for not doing their service for the customer, myself, that I paid for. I purchased a four piece modular couch and two of the pieces were damaged either before they were delivered or while they were being brought into my home. Since it is Ashley's policy to never replace anything, It took a month for the repair tech to come out to my house to fix the issue. They didn't bring replacement modular pieces, they sent replacement fabric and tore the couch apart and put new fabric on In my home. The tech that arrived did not appear to know what he was doing. He brought a blanket with him, which I assumed he was going to rest the pieces on as he worked on them, but instead the blanket stayed balled up in a corner while he flipped the pieces onto my hardwood floor, which caused more damage to other parts of the fabric on the Modular Pieces. When he was done, he left a pile of garbage in my living room, as well as roughly 2 dozen staples strewn across the hardwood floor that my dogs could've easily ingested which would've caused untold internal injuries for them. When I called Ashley warranty claim division and expressed my displeasure with my experience, they hung up on me and never called back. I had to sit on hold again after calling back, spent a total of 2 hours on the phone with them, and ultimately got nowhere with the next person I spoke to. They claim they were so busy that they couldn't help me, so now I am waiting for a call back that is supposed to take place on Monday, but I'm not going to hold my breath. This company and their customer support are absolutely horrible. I am completely regretful that I spent $3500 with them. I'm just glad that I didn't spend more. I don't ever want these people back in my house ever again, and I will never ever buy anything from them ever again. Steer clear of this place. You will be happy that you did. I had the worst experience of my life, I bought the full bedroom set, two chairs and a recliner for almost $4200 everything came after 4 months waiting, first they brought the wrong color bed, for that I had to wait another 3 weeks which was fine but the dresser's drawer were not closing properly and Chester drawer's back was broken when I complained l was told they will replace the items, they sure did but when the bed came it has storages drawers underneath and there is a 6" inches gap between the foot board and the mattress, if I push the mattress towards the headboard than I can see my bottom drawers from top, either the mattress is way small or the bed is bigger than the mattress even though I ordered both in queen size also the drawer under the bed was not closing because the railing came broken, they have sent me new drawer and railing but no one came to fix it. I am so disgusted with their service, every time I call their customer service I hear a voicemail saying they are temporarily out of service. I bought everything on 12 months no interest on September of 2022 and it's been 13 months, the bank wants their money and I am stuck with broken pieces of furniture which the customer service is supposed to fix it. There logo of 100% customer guarantee is rubbish, I wanted to return everything but I was told once the items are delivered we don't ever take it back but we can fix it, after complaint after complaint I am on their mercy I have been getting calls from the bank to pay the full amount otherwise they will charge interest on it. When I complain about the bed issue to the customer service I was told this is how it supposed to be even though their store display's doesn't show anything like that at all. Stay far away from Ashley Furniture! Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! We purchased a brown sectional based on their floor model, they delivered a grey sectional. They finally scheduled a second delivery only to bring the same grey sectional. Turns out they changed the color two years earlier and did not disclose that to us nor paid attention to the wrong color complaint of our first delivery. They then tried to say no refunds only exchanges. After multiple customer service calls they finally picked up our the furniture, now waiting for the refund they deducted the delivery charge from?? Public Service Announcement- Do not ever, and I repeat, EVER buy from Ashley! They are dishonest from the sale onward! The signs say your merchandise will be shipped out in a few day, try more like a month! Took a month to get a tv stand. The sales person leaves out important information about the fact that certain furniture can take over a month because it's a "Direct Ship" from the manufacturer. I did not have a good experience with my online purchase and continued promise of delivery that never happened. When I tried numerous times to contact Ashley for an update and/or to speak to someone, it only led to lengthy calls of listening to a recorded message to then be disconnected. I reached out to Tess at the Rockford, IL location and she responded immediately and kept me in the loop to my refund. I was not satisfied with the online ordering system at Ashley but Tess was undeniably professional and courteous. Finally in July I get a call that my furniture is ready to be delivered, well I move into my new house August 11th so I asked to push it. They told me it was no problem. I wish I'd read these reviews ahead of time. Purchasing our chair was easy enough. However when we had issues with it and had to have it worked on, that's where all the trouble began. It took multiple phone calls and almost a month and a half to get somebody out to my house to fix the chair we purchased. Now, I just called them and found out I am two days outside my warranty and there's another issue that needs to be fixed. The call center tells me to call the home store, but all that does is take me back to the call center. They said to hit option number three so that it rings at the home store, but then all it does is ring and ring and ring. No one ever answers it. As my couch cost approximately $700 and I've done nothing but sit on it, I can only conclude, despite their claims to the contrary, that there was faulty construction on my couch. I'd give it NO STARS IF I COULD! TO THE BUSINESS! I'll never be able to rate my purchase because it'll never be received! YOU ALL WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN - YOU PEOPLE ARE A JOKE! I have already wrote about this once - but it continues on to now not getting a refund! (or rather say continuing to give me a delay or run-around as you people have been doing!). On May 10th I was online looking for a bedroom set for my son because his broke and due to COVID many stores weren't open for in-person. A salesman popped up to chat online quickly got us what we wanted; told me delivery would be June 2nd and sent me an invoice to pay. Once an invoice was sent and I paid for the twin loft bed with drawers over $900.00 I was sent a confirmation saying delivery June 20, 2020. That delivery was later canceled and re-scheduled. I received txt messages you delivery is set for such date, I would confirm and then the day before the delivery I would receive a phone call stating one piece was on back order and that they needed to push delivery out again. This happened 4 times, after the 4th time I tried to call and speak to someone about delivery the number I was given had a recorded message that said after 15 minutes I would be prompted to leave a voicemail or I would be hung up on. I left a voicemail and was told I would receive a call back in 24-48 hours (I never got a call back!). Finally came the 5th scheduled date of delivery August 11th I received a call on August 10 (3 months AFTER my purchase was made) the gentleman told me 2 pieces of the loft bed were on back order (now it went from 1 piece to 2 pieces). I explained to the gentleman that this has been an on-going issue for 3 months that I am now missing 2 pieces of the bed, how did I go from 1 to 2? I said sir my 7 year old son is sleeping in a recliner and has been for 3 months, I would like him in bed before school starts; any way you can give me some kind of answer as to when I can expect the bed. He tells me know he only works in the manufacturing dept. I proceed with how to I get in touch with someone I couldn't get through last time and nobody called me back. He gave me a few numbers and in my frustration I told the man I wished to cancel my order and get a full refund. He said he would put a ticket in for my request and have the order cancelled. August 26th over 2 weeks later I still had no refund and hadn't heard from Ashley Furniture. I proceeded to call the numbers I was given; first lady didn't even know how or why I got her number. 1 hour on hold and speaking to 5 people (including 1 hanging up on me) I was told my order needed to be cancelled by the telesales team and they would put a note through and I would hear back Monday/Tuesday (8/31 or 9/1). I proceeded to chat with someone online and explained the situation and that I was getting an attorney. He managed to find "Shane" my salesperson and send him an email. The next day August 27th I received a phone call from a lady stating she processed the cancellation and I would see a refund in my account in 24-48 hours. I waited 5 days later calling today 9/2. Today I was told the order still wasn't canceled by 2 people and that I would have to wait another 24-48 hours. (The answer always seems to be 24-48 hours WITH NO ANSWER)! I asked how to reach the telesales team to see if they could expedite this. They told me they don't have direct lines and can only be reached by tickets! Here I sit back to where I started 21 days ago. They have now had over $900 of my money for almost 4 months and it's almost like they refuse to give it back to me! read more

I ordered 1 headboard, 1 dresser and 1 chest of drawer. I received the chest of drawer and the headboard but no dresser. The paint on the headboard is so messed up I called and they are supposed to be bringing me a new one when they deliver the dresser. It has been 2 months and counting and NO word or delivery of my dresser and headboard . I try calling and get a automated system that keeps me on hold forever. When someone finally answers they have no answers for me. I would think they could contact the manufacturer of the brand of furniture and ask them when the items will be coming in or maybe they have been discontinued ??? Who knows ! Very disappointed! Ordered furniture on line. Opened up the end table and there is a chip in it and I did not like the color. Seeing as the stores are closed due to COVID-19 you cannot return to the store, called Ashley Furniture and I have to pay the shipping costs and they will not refund nor give me a store credit for the shipping costs. I have had the worst experience with Ashley Furniture today. First- the salesman messed up my original order and shorted me a nightstand. He verbally told me it was in my order but forgot to write it down. Next - the store manager refuses to call me back stating he is 'too busy' with new customers to help me. Finally - delivery helper was dropping furniture and hitting walls, when asked to be a little easier he ignored our request. Tried to refuse delivery but the drivers left without notice after I refused to sign. To boot - customer service line stated I had to wait for a call back from the store, and they still refuse to call me back. Maybe an email to corporate will help, but I am not holding my breath. My boyfriend and I ordered a bedroom set and mattress back in August of 2020. When we were completing the order at Ashley, the sales associate explained to us that due to COVID shipping would be delayed for about 2-3 months. We understood this issue and agreed to go through with the purchase. Come October 2020, we still had not received ANY shipping information/confirmation/updates etc.. I contacted the Rockford store location and was informed that there was still a delay on shipping from the warehouse. Again, understanding of the COVID issue, I asked if there was any possible way to at least have the mattress (I already paid for) delivered as we had gotten rid of all of our old bedroom set and mattress. After to speaking to associate Brian B. at the Rockford store, despite his passive aggressive attitude, he confirmed with me that we would be able to have our mattress delivered within a week (October 2020). Needless to say, that week came and went. After numerous and numerous calls to the store with the only responses being "yes your mattress will be delivered within a week" and "there is a shipping delay from the warehouse", we gave up and finally went into the store. It has now been FIVE MONTHS since ordering this bedroom set/mattress and TWO months of sleeping on an air mattress. Once at the store a different associate Alejandra G., was professional enough to explain to us that we should have been informed months ago that our bedroom set had been discontinued and that the policy of Ashley Furniture had changed regarding mattresses being not to be delivered without the ordered bed set. We had been lied to by the other associate, Brian B., after numerous calls of speaking with him about when AT LEAST our mattress would be delivered. After working with Alejandra G., we were able to pick out a new bedroom set and mattress. She was nice enough to settle this mess by matching the price of our previously picked out set to this new one. She also was able to tell us that she would get our mattress and dresser/mirror delivered on 01/20/21. She was very personable and did her best in attempt to make this right. She even reached out to us saying that she saw an update stating our mattress, dresser and mirror were put on on the truck for delivery that day (01/20/21). Well, that day came and went and still NO MATTRESS OR DRESSER! We never received any phone calls, texts, emails, etc. from Ashley or there delivery service regarding this. We then reached out to Alejandra and she informed us that the dresser was "defective" once on the truck but there should not have been a reason for the mattress not being delivered, as all items were put on the delivery truck that day. I have been putting off writing this review because it's so negative, but if I were considering shopping at this store I would want to know. Our negative experience began in the show room. We were shopping for a loveseat. an armless chair, and a chaise. We found one in the color we wanted, but the armrests we're on the opposite sides. We asked our sales person if they had any others in the same color with the arms switched. He claimed they didn't, but I spied one about 20 feet from where we were sitting. We spent about 45 minutes with our sales person, selecting the exact pieces that we needed with the correct arm rests. He wrote up the order read it back to us and the order was placed. We had to wait about six weeks for the delivery, which was to be expected. The day before delivery, I had Habitat for Humanity come and collect our old furniture. The next day, Ashley shows up - with the wrong items. The armrests were on the wrong side. Apparently, the policy with Ashley is that a left arm loveseat does not mean when you sit in it your left arm will have an armrest. It means when you're LOOKING AT IT, the armrest is on the left side (thus, your right arm rests). Well our sales person must not have realized this, and wrote the order down wrong. So I had to refuse delivery and try to contact them on the phone. It's impossible to get the actual store on the phone so I ended up going in. They had to start a brand new delivery and I waited another month. The furniture was supposed to be delivered yesterday (Tuesday). In the middle of the day I get a text: "your furniture will be delivered [on Thursday of this week]. Please click this link to confirm." So I clicked the link and found out that only two of my three items were on the list. I called the store and was on hold for the usual 15 minutes. During this time you are consistently reminded that Ashley is the "number one home furniture store." Where they are getting the statistic I don't know. It reminds me of the "World's Best Coffee" shop in Elf. Anyway, I finally reached someone on the phone and tell her the issue. She says "Well, you have to wait until next week so we can get you all your items at once." I said "How was I supposed to know that?" She says "I'm telling you now." She then proceeds to set up the delivery for the 28th. She gets it set up and says they will call me 48 hours before with a time window. Then she says they're closed that day. She then chose the next day for delivery (March 1st). Two hours later, I get a text from Ashley, saying the delivery will be on the 24th. The problem here is not "supply chain issues." The problem is there are so many moving parts involved, and none of them communicate with each other. Plus, our salesperson - I'll call him Clay, because that was his name - didn't know what he was doing. Bottom line: our living room has been empty for five weeks, and I'm thoroughly disgusted. I'm not sure if these issues apply to just the Rockford store, but I have a feeling they are systemic. Consider yourself warned. read more

On 11/26 I received an EMAIL, not a bed, telling me that, oh yay! a SHIPPING LABEL HAS BEEN CREATED! WOW! That's almost like getting it that day, isn't it? At least it's close enough for Ashley's! I'm not happy our sales person (Janet) failed to tell us when we purchased a queen sleeper sofa that the mattress size is actually a queen SHORT! Ashley Home Store has a great selection. The store is very helpful. But their customer service is the worse that I have dealt with in 40 years. When you call customer service be prepared to be on hold a mininum of 35 minutes. I have contact their customer service at least 4 to 6 times in the last 12 months and have been on hold for at least 35 minutes or more and than the customer service rep does not even have my appt. Also received two lamps in the mail from UPS that we ordered from the Ashley store that both times the boxes were smashed in. Actually had to return and have them deliver directly to the store where we had to go pick it up. Also when our mattress was delivered and the delivery guy was taking off the plastic with a utility knife he slit my mattress when I brought this to his attention he said "oh that's not to bad". Regardless of their great selection I will never ever buy from Ashley again. read more
