Beware, there is no furniture return or exchange after signing the delivery receipt form. No trial period, no changing your mind, no matter what, the furniture delivered is yours. Ashley's refuses to take it back even 1 day later, when the item hasn't been used at all and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and you're willing to pay all moving fees. Beware! read more

Bought sofa and loveseat from Poughkeepsie store. Salesperson was very professional and courteous. Once I decided on the set I wanted order was processed and delivery setup very quickly. I received a call 1 day before delivery and about 20 minutes before delivery. I am very happy with the furniture and the service. I would definitely go back to this store. read more

Andrew at Ashley Furniture did a wonderful job taking care of us. He was very informative and always available to answer any questions we had and provide us with additional options. The Ashley furniture team did everything possible to accommodate us and ensure timely delivery of our furniture. Zero stars!!!! DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS!!!!!!! Not only are they over priced (for lousy product) but lying sales people to boot. No one ever said all sales final. According to these liars, in order for me to get the most out of my new Tempurpedic bed I had to have the cooling mattress pad for $300 and a $250 pillow. Both of which don't work the way they are supposed to and are lousy and not worth the money! When I tried to return the pillow (bc it gave me a stiffer neck and back than I already have). They said "you can't return after it's been delivered". Then when I said they didn't deliver it. Well then "you can't return items once it's left the store" (in fine print on back of the receipt which the customer is supposed to know and read before leaving the store). So I called corporate which was no help either!!!!! I spent almost $7000 (like an idiot and will never do again) and they couldn't refund or exchange the heavy, uncomfortable, piece of crap pillow for $250?!?!? I wouldn't even give it to a homeless person!!!!!! They don't care about customer service, they lie, and they definitely don't remind customers that they can't return items once they walk out the store! So do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else and continue to buy your pillows at Target or Walmart bc they are more comfortable and will take back your $10 items with no questions asked. They don't have to hide behind lousy merchandise to make sales final and lose customers in the process. My only goal now is to see Ashley Furniture go out of business!!!!! Please don't waste your time. More reasonable furniture prices and better customer service can be found anywhere else. Don't give them the time of day! read more

I purchased 6 upholstered dining room chairs from Ashley Furniture in Sept. 2016. My dining room is only used for Holiday dinners. 3 weeks ago I noticed a crack in the wood that connects the front & back legs. I had purchased the protection plan and called them. They said it was not covered since it is structural damage. I called Ashley furniture and was told the warranty was up after 15 months. I felt this was very unacceptable. I asked if someone could come out & fix it and they said the only thing they could do would be to send us the part and my Husband could repair it. They ended up sending me 2 front legs and not the part that was needed. I again called Ashley & they informed me that they no longer could get that part. They mentioned that this chair was made in South Carolina. My husband turned the chair over and it stated "Made in China". Mentioned this to Customer Support & they were surprised and would mention this to management. I also wrote a letter to the CEO. I cannot understand if this company is suppose to be a reputable business, that they don't go above & beyond to help. I again asked if they could send out a technician to fix the chair and said only if I paid the expense. This was my first purchase with Ashley furniture and it will be my last. I have always bought my furniture from Raymore & Flanagan, and I believe they would go above & beyond to help me. I believe this furniture was made very poorly in China. They probably know this and now they are making it in America. Sadly, I'm stuck with a cheaply made one. Very disappointed. My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing from Ashley. READ all the reviews and consider mine as well. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

Terrible experience. I will NEVER buy from ashley again! We purchased a couch for $2000 and less than a year later it looks like it is 10 years old. The couch is uneven, uncomfortable , the fabric is pulling and worn. We called ashley to remedy the situation.they asked us to email picture to them, so we did. We were told we would get a call in 2 days to arrange a tech to come inspect the couch. We NEVER received the call. We had to call them about 2 weeks later to follow up. They finally sent a technician who told us that ashley furniture uses substandard stuffing in their furniture and that is the reason this happened to our couch. He told us they could restuff the couch and replace the cushion seats, however when we asked what the purpose of that was since we were told by an ashley employee that the stuffing is substandard, all he said was to bring it to showroom standards. We asked/pointed out that filling the couch with the same material will not fix the problem but rather just be a bandaid solution for six more months until we whale to do this again. The tech agreed. We told him at that point we either want a new different couch or our money back. He told us he was notating what we were saying as he wrote on his sheet of paper. He also informed us that we would be contacted within 72 hours with a resolution. Again, we never received a call. We had to call ashley after giving them a week to respond. When we called we found out that the tech lied to us about notating our concerns and wants and rather put down that we denied services to have the couch restuffed and cushions replaced. We spoke to a customer care rep and explained the situation. We asked for a manager bc the rep was unable to help. After being on hold for almost an hour we were given a supervisor who told us there were no managers on until that Thursday. So we were lied to again! The supervisor told us she would contact the manager and call us back by 6pm that evening. Again, no call back. We were not able to call them until the following monday, all the while never being contacted by anyone from ashley. On Monday we went through the process all over again and finally got to a higher level manager. Each person we spoke to refused to remedy our situation. We asked to speak to the next higher level.manager and were told that manager would be the one who could make the decision on whether our money could be refunded or not. We were supposed to be called back that day and never were. We called the next day asking to speak to the manager we had spoken to the day before, she was not in yet, so I asked for her to call me since she never called back the previous day, and we still have not received a call back. Terrible customer service, employees that lie to customers, and a company that does not stand behind their product. Worst $2000 I have ever spent. I will be sure to share this story with everyone I know to ensure no one has the same experience we have had. read more

This store has ripped me off. I spent over $2,000.00 on a new bedroom set for my daughter and new dining room furniture. All of this was purchased on 7/4/17. Delivery was a week later. The delivery people were awful and ruined my daughters hardwood floor, setup clearly damaged merchandise and when we tried to refuse it they took off leaving us no paperwork and then my nightmare really began. It has been over a month of still fighting to get my purchase repaired at least. I finally received a new drawer by UPS a month later for a chest in my daughters room and it was more damaged then the first one and clearly had coffee spilled down the front of it. When I brought it into the local store you could see the shock on their faces. I told them at this choice there were 3 choices. They could either fix what was broken and refund me for part of my purchase, refund me for all of the furniture and come get it or I would take them to small claims court. They would not do anything for choice 1 or 2 so I filed a claim in small claims court. I will not rest until I get reimbursed. They can come get their furniture so I can go buy furniture from somewhere else that actually knows how to treat its customers. read more

I purchased a three price sectional at the Poughkeepsie NY location on 10/17/16 and spent over $2500.00. They told me it would be delivered 8 days later on 10/25/16. I was excited to get this sofa and it was a pretty big purchase for me but was later apprehensive after reading the terrible reviews about this couch. I called the store and spoke with Sean who sold me the sofa and told him I was really worried that this would not be a good quality sofa based on reviews. He reassured me that Ashley furniture stands behind their products and will come out and repair or replace any issues for 5 years. So I waited for the couch to come and when they delivered it, it was missing a cushion. I waited an hour with the delivery men on hold to speak with the distributors and the women told me that I would have the cushion in 2 business days. So two weeks after the delivery, And countless phone calls, I receive just the cover to the cushion without the actual cushion. So now it's been 3 weeks since I purchased this couch and can't use a third of it. I spent 3 hours on the phone with 6 different people and there solutions were to wait another "few" days for the cushion, go to Walmart and buy some stuffing and make my own cushion, or drive to their store and get the dirty floor model cushion. This is a really big purchase for a 23 year old and having to wait almost a month for a full couch is un acceptable. Ashley clearly does not stand behind their customer service, distributors, delivery service or products. And Heather from the call center in Edison NJ needs a lesson in etiquette. read more

This review is more about Ashley Furniture rather than the specific store. First I would tell people RUN RUN RUN. I went to Ashely to furnish a 2nd home I purchased closer to my job. I wanted something a little better than Bob's but didn't want to break the bank. I was renting prior to this and for the rental I went to Bob's. First of all Ashley does not care about it's customers. I took a floor model floor lamp and told it was 50% off - they charged full price. They had 20% off everything in the store. Yes when I purchased a $2500 mattress they gave me $400 off not $500. I purchased 2 table lamps. They came in a box that I had to put together, not the delivery people. When I took them out of the box one was damaged. The hoops i had to jump through. Luckily the store was helpful - the did give me credits for the wrong amounts charged and gave me a replacement lamp from the store. On the metal headboard delivered I noticed, after delivery, a gauge -for months now I have been trying to get this corrected. The sent a replacement which was also damaged. I can't keep taking time off from work. They do not realize people have jobs and can't just take off on a whim. They want to deliver a 3rd headboard. I told them just give me 50% off and I'll live with the damaged one. No they'd rather take the damaged piece, send a crew or just give me 20% off. Told them after all my time and aggravation that's an INSULT. So now I have to take another day off from work to get this corrected. This is after leaving numerous messages at their "customer service" department and never getting anyone to talk to OR a return call. While I was at Ashely I saw a coffee table and 2 end tables to my house. Not knowing how poor quality their CRAP is, i bought it for my house to replace old tables I was giving away. Of course when they delivered those tables, the coffee table was cracked. There is NO quality control. They do not care about the customer. They lie and over charge you. Their furniture quality is worse than the furniture I originally bought at Bobs and more money. I had NO ISSUES with Bob's. They did make a mistake on delivery but worked with me for a day and time convenient to me - Ashely - they won't give you a morning or afternoon - they tell you the day before a 4 hour block so you're forced to take a full day off from work. One of the attempts to replace my headboard - i made the app't through the store - they told me morning app't. I took 1/2 day from work - the day before i get a call it's between 11-3 - they weren't willing to do anything about it. Folks - if you have no issues then they may be acceptable, but do yourself a favor - do not go to Ashley. I never write reviews but this has been one of the worst experiences I felt I had to. read more
