I was looking for a new bed because one of the wooden slats was broken. I went looking on Memorial Day weekend. One of the stores indicated that, with the sale, a bed would run about $650. I had heard of Davis furniture and went to their store. I was so glad that I did! I explained the situation to the salesman. He could not have been nicer. He suggested that I purchase a metal frame to replace the broken wood. He showed me what it would look like. The cost was only $160.00 plus tax. What a relief! The frame was delivered and installed. The gentlemen who came to my house were wonderful! They were so professional and within 15 minutes my problem was solved! I sleep so much better now. Shopping in the middle of a pandemic is stressful enough, but Elaine at Davis Furniture made it so simple and easy for us. We are Fishkill residents who just purchased our first home and wanted to find a local business to help us furnish it. We decided to start with our living room and found a couch we both really love at another store while out of the area, and hoped that it was a piece Davis Furniture carried -- and they do! I worked with Elaine over the phone and didn't hesitate to place my order as I know the upholstery industry is experiencing extensive delays due to COVID. She answered all my questions and did not make me feel silly for asking about the fabric, if the seats are removable/reversible, and triple confirming the configuration of the sectional. Davis is transparent in how they handle any purchases, and patient with their customers who are navigating 'digital' shopping experiences, and we appreciated this. Elaine asked for a small deposit, versus 50% to paying full price that other stores are asking right now, and will keep us posted if the delivery date will change (as the item is back-ordered/out of stock). Think local, buy local from this family furniture store! This store has been around for a lifetime. Everything we buy here has lasted well over 10 years. You get what you pay for. Reasonable prices and great quality. We always purchase items from here and they all last. You can get custom made furniture and made in the USA. We just picked out a chaise sofa that you can move to either side. We could not get that from the competitors. Elaine is my go to and she knows what she knows her furniture. Although production times are a little back logged due to the pandemic we are fine with waiting for it. The staff is very helpful and friendly and if you do not see anything on the floor they have books and catalogs to choose from. Give them a chance. Think local then buy local!!! read more

I had a wonderful shopping experience at Davis today. I did a lot of research ahead of time to come up with a plan for furniture shopping. There were a lot of negative reviews for Ashley, Big Lots, Bobs and Raymour. There were some positive ones, too, but overwhelmingly more complaints. I have seen very little in the way of complaints with Davis and so far, I see why! I was greeted at the door, was given an overview of the layout, and was told that there were many more options if I wasn't finding what I liked. I found everything I liked! Queen bedroom set, kitchen table and chairs, and a new couch- all very well made, good quality and reasonably priced. Oh... and all made in America! The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't received my furniture yet. But I could tell from the people around me that this place is special... repeat customers, owners who showed genuine interest in me and my furniture needs, and furniture you feel good about spending money on. I highly suggest checking it out if you're looking for long-term furniture. read more

We hadn't needed new furniture in several years and I asked a lot of friends and co workers before we went out looking. Almost everyone I asked said they shop at Davis Furniture, we tried their website first and it was informative but a little overwhelming and it didn't list any prices. We tried all the big stores but we weren't committing to anything until we stopped at Davis. Unfortunately they are closed on Sunday's so we had to wait for a day during the week. We finally made it in and we noticed right away that there was something different about their store. At every other store we felt pressured and had different salespeople coming up to us over and over. At Davis we were helped but then we were left alone. What was nice was the fact that their furniture seemed to be all American Made and you got to pick the colors and sizes of pieces too. At first we thought it might be too expensive but they came in under budget and we found really unique things that the other stores didn't have. The delivery went very smoothly and the guys that delivered it were very professional. I had limited times that I could be home and couldn't waste a day waiting around. They called me first in the morning with a window of time and then called me again 30 minutes before they got there so I could head home. We will definitely go back and we have recommended them to all our friends and co workers. Keep in mind that there is a lot more to them then what they have on display, they had catalog after catalog with every type of furniture imaginable. We will never shop anywhere else! read more
