WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 0 stars is true rating. Ordered 4 barstools for our new home. Delivered on February 11. When delivered two were very wobbly and the delivery guy said he would put in an order to have someone fix it. A month later after not hearing anything I went to the store and asked about it. Nothing in system they will have someone call. Finally got a repair guy out said the legs were not same size needed replacement or send all new legs. He would take care of it. Another 3 weeks and still nothing. Try to call store and sorry no one is available for two hours. Try customer service get someone in another country that does not speak English. That was no help. Finally get ahold of store and have no idea what I am talking about. You mean a technician has been there.?? Well we will have service call you tomorrow he is only here days. Guess what? That's when I work too!!!! Bottom line. 7 weeks still can't use barstools. Canceling other order with them. Let's see if they refund me. Will keep you posted read more

The saga continues....after much arguing and being on hold for 30 minutes at a time with various people who didn't call me back, I was supposed to have the rest of my furniture on March 14th. Now I'm on hold again listening to how important my call is to Ashley furniture. Even though it's not important enough to hire enough agents to answer my call in under 30 minutes. They did refund the $119.99 delivery fee. I really wish they hadn't stolen $1200 from me two months ago. Then I wouldn't need a delivery fee refund. read more

This is the first time I have ever gone out of my way to give a review with such a negative outcome. My fiancé and I have been contemplating for years now on why to pick for our bed frame. We wanted drawers and a padded head rest. Well, we finally found one. We paid $over $1500 for this piece of furniture, as well as $150 for delivery. Delivery day came. Two people show up. Put together the parts then I hear a "uh oh.... uh.... sir?" .... great. I see what was wrong and find out that they are missing pieces and will contact their supervisor to bring them out. No big deal right? It was around 1:00 pm when they left, keep in mind that the delivery window is from 12-2. I don't get a call from a supervisor for almost two hours. He then tells me that he is 40 mins out, with a "I could care less" attitude. He gets here and then guess what??? He doesn't have the correct parts either. So we sleep on nothing then???? No. He says we can sleep on the unsecured bed frame that is lifted of the ground and held by almost nothing as the parts necessary were not here. Next day comes. He shows up, puts whatever together and bolts. I found out later that the reason he bolted so fast (left quickly) was because he screwed up one of the drawers and just didn't want to mess with telling us. One of his first statements was that if the delivery doesn't mess up, then he "don't have to work". We tried reporting this to Ashley furnitures customer service, and let me tell you: they were extremely rude, uncaring and unprofessional. They gave us the run around and made it feel impossible to report anything. Which we did not get a chance. Again, I am not one to write things like this, but this was the worst experience I have ever had with any company so far. I regret EVER investing in them as I have opened a line of credit with them. HUGE MISTAKE. If i knew they would take the entire set up back, hassle free, I would have demanded it out of my house. But it was more trouble than it is worth at this point. Oh and our salesman - David Montrey- lied to us. He promised that we would not need to worry about the bed frames wood bar support. That ply wood would not be necessary and neither would a "bunkie board". Well it is necessary. The awful delivery man even advised that we need to have ply wood or the beer will be ruined due to sag. I've purchased Ashley Furniture many times over the years, but my recent experience has been ridiculous. We purchased table with side bench for around $700 paid the extra for setup/delivery. When they were bringing the bench in they nicked the corner, I mentioned it to delivery worker he took pictures and called manager. I spoke with the delivery manager he said they would contact us for a replacement. No worries, a month or so went by no word so I called, they had no record of the damage or conversations. So the claims department had me send pictures in of the damaged bench. We did and received a call back that it was CUSTOMER damaged! They said they would not replace it. Horrible customer service. I'm sure the delivery company gets sighted when damage occurs so they didnt relay this information to Ashley's and hope's it goes away. I've reached out to the store manager with no response. Moral of the story dont let the delivery driver leave without taking the damaged furniture and dont sign any received slips until its replaced. Manager at store supposedly handled second delivery but it never came. A whole lot more problems but am too stressed, frustrated and dissappointed to go into all of the details. I redecorate every few years. Have always bought from Value City, Macy's, Artvan or Carol House. Never had ANY problems. I plan to spend another 10k or more in furniture this fall and I will certainly be shopping anywhere BESIDES Ashley HomeStore. I purchased a bedroom set on 6/4/20 and paid in full. We were told with the pandemic delivery may be more like 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks. No problem there. They told us they would call to schedule delivery. 6 weeks go by and we hear nothing. I call the store, on every option available.... so 4 calls. I had to do this because on every line the phone gets picked up then hung up, AFTER holding for a half an hour each call. Finally I call the customer service number listed online. A very bored and rude sounding representative answers. I tell her I'm just looking to find out an expected delivery date, she advises she can't help because I ordered through the store and need to call them. I explain I tried 4 times and was unable to reach anyone because they pick up and hang up the phone. "Well there's nothing I can do ma'am" was her response. I requested to speak to a manager and she asks me to hold then hangs up. I call a second time and again after holding for 45 minutes I reach a representative who advises me my furniture is back ordered, but should arrive on 7/24 and I'll be called the day before to advise me of the specific time. GREAT! Except I get no call, the 24th comes and goes and I have no furniture and no information. I call customer service and get the same "can't help" and have to call 3 times to get someone who advises it hadn't arrived in the warehouse yet, but for sure will be in the 26th and they can schedule it for same day delivery. Great. Wish someone would have called, but hey we are in the middle of a pandemic, no big deal... Except this happens 6 more times. No call/no show. No one calls to reschedule. Complete radio silence. I have to call and wait on hold every time 3-4 phone calls each because most reps refuse to help. I leave a review on Facebook because someone needs to be aware of the awful service. Finally 8/11 comes and the furniture is delivered, minus two pieces which I was advised were back-ordered until the end of August. Hey the bed and dresser are here, I'm happy. BUT WAIT!!! The headboard is defective because it's missing the screw threading in two holes of the head board. They can't put it together. The delivery man says not to worry, they will have someone out the same day with a new headboard, if I call instead of having them report it. They still report it, but it goes in at the end of the day. Ok sure I can do that. Then they left... without putting together the dresser or anything else. you can't move around the room, so we put the dresser together ourselves because at this point we just need access to move around in the room. I call customer service, as advised by the delivery drivers to do, well they can't help me because the delivery is still processing. I have to call tomorrow. Mind you every representative at the call center sounds bored and could not care less that you spent $2k with their company. I'm pretty upset, so enough of this nonsense, I will take the morning off work and go to the store in person. I'm directed to speak to their customer care manager, who is apologetic and kind. He empathized and said they've heard many awful stories for their call center and he hopes they open one more local soon. He will reach out to the warehouse and personally care for this, and he apologizes but he cannot get anything rescheduled for delivery until tomorrow at the earliest. He will call, he says. Okay, I'm satisfied, someone will actually take care of me. I receive a call from the corporate offices about the review I left a few days prior. Not wanting to review anything further until the work is complete, I don't call back right away. I figure I'll wait until the next day, after I've spoken with the manager and everything is corrected. No call, for 2 days. I call the lady from corporate, and leave a message explaining the situation. I get no call back. Extremely frustrated! After going to many different furniture stores we decided to purchase a couch and ottoman from Ashley. We made this purchase on 05.25.2020. The associate that help us in the store was very friendly (Jeremy). He told us that it would be 6 weeks for delivery and with a little bit of delay right now at the worst case 8 weeks. We decided we were okay with that and made our purchase. Time passed by and we received a text stating our order was tentatively set to arrive on 07.02, then received a text pushing it to 07.28, then 08.03, then 08.10, then 08.19. approximately 3 months later. I sent an email stating my frustration that NO ONE responded to. I then called multiple times only to sit on hold for 30 plus mins and speak with NO ONE! Finally, I spoke with a Brittany who stated that our items were ready and she would go ahead and set our delivery date for 08.20. Even though I was extremely frustrated I continued my conversation with Brittany and agreed to get my delivery on said date. Brittany stated that someone would be calling me approx. 48 hours prior to delivery to confirm and said it was very important to confirm delivery. I waited.....who would have guessed that no one called!! So I call today to find out why no one has called to confirm tomorrows delivery and placed on hold for total of 2 hours being transferred and placed on hold over and over again. I am told by Brittany again that my delivery is now set for SEPTEMBER 22ND. What?!?!?!? Now its pushed to 4 months later??? Why would you tell me a week prior that my product is ready and set a date of Aug 20th. So you are telling me that between last week and this week you no longer know where my items went???? Was anyone going to call me and tell me this information? Why do I need to call you all for you to tell me a different date!! After being transferred back and forth to multiple employees who literally could care less and have zero answers as to next steps in the situation I am basically told there is nothing that can be done, I should just continue sitting on my dining room chairs awaiting the delivery that may or may not EVER arrive. Some one might call me in the next "couple days", I ask.....If they do not call then who should I contact I am told that I should call the exact same number that I was on all day and start the process over!!! Apparently spend multiple days as a customer trying to get something resolved is okay by this company!! This is a fail on multiple departments in this company. I have had nothing but trouble since ordering my child's bedroom set. First delivery was set for two weeks ago. They were missing a piece and delivery could tell from our receipt and their record that they were missing anything. Took a week and almost a dozen calls to get them to figure out the mistake and schedule a second delivery. Second delivery the piece was broke. And told it would take 24-48 hours to see when another would be available and schedule another delivery. Called sexy times, because they say they will call back and then don't. I purchased close to 1000.00 in furniture at the O'Fallon, Mo Ashley furniture location on 6/12. Never was I was told of possible delays. After several hiccups, I went back in the store to try to get answers on what was happening and why no one will answer the phone. The store manager, Mark made a false promise on 8/8 that I would get my delivery on 8/12, it was a day off for me. Today I got a text message from Tennessee, who schedules deliveries. To my surprise the delivery day was the 15th. I'm not off that day. The supervisor, Ron would not deliver on the 8/12 and couldn't understand why the store manager would give me a delivery date which wasn't available. I have paperwork from the store stating the delivery date. This is the third reschedule and still no furniture and no guarantee on any future dates. The miscarriage of customer service has been awful not to mention the poor communication. I will say my salesperson, Mackenzie did a nice job in the beginning of contacting me but not once did I hear from the store manager. He offered me a 129.00 credit back to my account as a gesture and apology for all my troubles. When I went in today to cancel, I did not get a full refund. I was shorted the 129.00. So as long I was willing to be jacked around, I could keep the gesture money but once I cancelled all bets were off. I will never buy another piece of furniture from that store. I also sent Ashley customer care an email. I'm worse off now than I was before and that is so frustrating as I still have no furniture. The customer service is horrible. I would suggest that you never purchase anything from this store ever. I have contacted the Manager, Angelo in person and spoke with Mike on the telephone. Neither have returned my call as promised. If I could give them a 0 I would. My mom and I walked into Ashley Furniture not really looking for anything in particular but then we stumbled upon a beautiful accent chest. Angelo (the Assistant sales manager) noticed no one said hello to us when we first came in and wanted to make a point to say hello. As we wandered around the store we kept coming back to this accent chest and Angelo was there to help us quickly with numbers (they had a sale going on) while being incredibly personable. We highly recommend visiting this store and working with Angelo at the O'Fallon location. He is sure to make you feel like a valued customer and a friend. The entire staff was very friendly from Angelo to the girl who took our payment information to the men who delivered our furniture. This was, without a doubt, an easy 5 star experience. read more

We went there to purchase my daughter's bedroom furniture. It took almost 1 hour to work up the price for purchase since it was separate pieces. At one point, I assisted with my calculator on my phone since it was taking so long. We get the furniture delivered and we are missing the most important piece.....the insert to hold the mattress. We are told that is a separate price even after we question salesman about having all the parts prior to purchasing. Called the store....took almost 2 hours to get our question answered. Ended up going to local store in our town and purchasing the item. Side note......the delivery driver stated this type of thing happens all the time. Go elsewhere! read more

The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. Unfortunately the company is a nightmare to work with. Furniture was damaged at delivery and the store refused to help, they kept sending us to the 1800 number who would take our information and promise to call back but never did... It took 9 months for them to come out and look at the furniture but they did not fix it. It took another 9 months of constant calls to get them to come out again. This time they just stared at it then said we needed a replacement but on the report they filed with the company the repair tech said repaired to showroom condition. It was not. after another two months of threats of legal action they sent replacement furniture which was shipped up on end and bent. Store refuses to return money and is incapable of providing good furniture. When you pay over $3300 for a couch and loveseat, you should not have to go through this nightmare. read more

The salesman was helpful in helping us to find a couch set for our living room. Our only complaint is we were very specific on how much money we wanted to put down, however he was not listening to us, and we had to repeat ourselves a few times. Also, when we discussed pricing from the beginning I noticed the price online was cheaper than the in-store which he acknowledge and said he could match that. However when we went to go sit down and buy it, he insisted on calculating the store price first then I had to remind him that we want the cheaper price. Very nice guy, just wish he would have listened to us instead of trying to get the sale. It was frustrating to us especially since we had our baby with us and were in a hurry. Today I was swindled by a sales associate. Beware the final prices at signing! Today when buying a few pieces for furniture I asked for free shipping to close the deal.(Shipping was around 170) The sales manager came over and OKed to the deal. Everything was great until my final signing and breakdown. The sales associate was angry that I had even asked for anything, (although she told me she could work a "deal" out on all pieces purchased and did nothing to get me a better price.) Being vindictive, she decided to NOT take off 10% on one of my pieces of my furniture to eat up what I would of saved on shipping.(They are currently running a holiday special of 10% all furniture) She obviously thought I was stupid and wouldn't catch it. I called her out on it and she got angry and told me SHE DID not agree to the deal (only her manager did). Then tried to reason out I still got half the shipping free..... This was after my financing was approved and I was furious. I stood up and my Wife and I walked out. The amount of money was not much but I left out of principle. So as a warning, make sure you have everything laid out and double check it. I will not be recommending Ashley furniture to anyone. DO NOT BUY HERE. Damaged our home and furniture. Furniture is not real wood. Horrible customer service has not fixed problem for over 1 month now. I bought the most expensive set of bedroom and living room furniture they sell for $9,000 only to find out it's not even real wood! The items were delivered with finish flaking off and bubbling. Under it is some sort of crappy resin or plastic, not wood like they tell you in the store. Under the finish is white material. The delivery was finally made to our new house by a contracted company, not Ashley's, after waiting 2 weeks. They put a hole in our wall, scratches on the walls, black marks all up the carpeted stairs, broke the entry door hydraulic, put a hole threw the back of the dresser and scratched 2 other pieces of furniture. This is my new house I just bought and they have no respect! That was 1 month ago and our home is still damaged and furniture is still unacceptable. This company is so layered they can't figure out how to fix my order or the damages to my home! We've talked to sales reps, customer service agents, technicians and even managers with no luck on getting someone to my home to access the damage and the defective junk we were delivered. The only thing that's been done to fix my order is they sent another contracted delivery company out to replace the dresser that was broken on the first delivery only to have these guys put another scrape on the foot board of our bed and ruin it now too! They also did not replace the mirror and the finish on the mirror is a lighter shade of brown than the new dresser they brought so it doesn't match now. Today (Monday) I got a call for an appointment for a technician to come inspect the furniture this Thursday. Another 4 days when it is convenient for them! Why not take care of your customer's right away Ashley? Your sales team was available 24/7 to sell me but nobody is available to help out when you have problems. This company does not take care of their screw ups or valued customers. Terrible quality product and warranty is a huge SCAM! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY. Both 3 years old bed-frame and dinning set chair broke within two days apart. Submitted a claim and even sent pictures on April 19th to their 3rd party contractor, but did not hear back until 26th stating that they believe the damages were over 5 days old and there's nothing they can do about it. Spoke with manager and gotten same response. Reached out to Ashley regarding the claim to their 3rd party contractor and were told we would hear back by April 28th and it is May 2nd. Not only are the products in low quality, the warranty purchased is a huge SCAM A representative reached out based on my Better Business Bureau complain on this same issue stated that the furniture are not covered due to non-accidental damage. However, they failed to even ask HOW the furniture were damaged. Not only have they changed their reason for not covering the damage, they have failed to support their second reason. My family and I went to this location and we're looking for some furniture to buy. When talking to the sales person my son came up and asked something. I told my son that he does not need to interrupt and he needs to wait. Several days later my son said that one of the finance ladies told him that i was abusive and asked if he was scared. That is none of her business on how i disipline my child, she is not a child psychologist. Now my 10 year old son is crying thinking she might call the police. I've gone through the process of submitting a customer service online claim, speaking with the store manager, and speaking with the extended warranty center. My couch is no longer under warranty. However, even if it was under warranty, the issue I am having would not be covered. Nor, can it be covered under an extended warranty. The couch we purchased just over a year ago has EXCESSIVE fabric piling. Considering it is just my husband and I living in our home - there should be no reason for this level of wear. We invested a great deal of money into our couch. Had we spent a couple hundred dollars, I might expect such poor quality. We spent nearly $3,000 on this couch. We went to a "reputable" furniture company and yet we find ourselves in this predicament. Your customer service is deplorable. You've created a system to cycle out customer issues with no accountability or resolve. If you contact the store manager, they request that you look into extended warranty. When you contact extended warranty, they tell you there is nothing they can do and to contact the store manager. While the store manager was not unfamiliar with the fabric piling issue - they provided no solution at all. Very poor quality furniture and terrible customer service. The warranties will not cover real issues with their furniture. Had we been informed of the fabric piling issue up-front, we could have made a more informed decision and picked a couch with a different fabric. read more

We had a great shopping experience at Ashley. The associate let us browse without bothering us, and was readily available when we had questions. She was courteous and knowledgeable of her stock. She even helped us schlep chairs across the store to see how they looked with another kitchen table! I would never purchase anything else from Ashley Furniture. I purchased furniture in the store November 9, 2020 at that time I was advised I should get the furniture by the end of the month/sometime in December. I didn't get the furniture til February 2021 and I didn't get the full set I ordered because the ottoman was on backorder or something but was advised I should get it sometime in March. As of today I still don't have the ottoman with no information as to when I would get it then in reviewing my account online I found Ashley Furniture charged my account $501.13 April 6 for an ottoman I don't have and added another delivery charge. I canceled the ottoman and am highly pissed off with everything involving this purchase. I wouldn't recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. It's crazy that they would charge me an additional delivery charge for something that wasn't under my control. It's not my fault when they delivered the other furniture the ottoman wasn't in and then to just charge my account without my consent. read more

So, I ended up buying elsewhere, but I did shop around several places. This was by far, the worst experience in town. First of all, they are more interested in getting you to apply for financing than they are in selling you furniture. The saleswoman smelled like an ashtray and had absolutely no worthwhile suggestions. She tried to force me into her mattress department, even though I clearly told her I was looking for a couch and recliner. It's like she didn't even hear what I was looking for. Then, when I did like a couch, a similar item was available at the location I actually bought from for less than half the sticker price at Ashley. Plus, I could get delivery there in a few days, this was going to be four weeks. Also, I guess you are supposed to negotiate with them. When I told her I could get this for less than half the price, she told me that I could have 15% off, and the competitor's furniture was "crap." So very unprofessional. I will NEVER shop at Ashley's again. I purchased a living room set, bedroom set, and mattress and purchased the Insurance under the insistence of Angelo, the salesman. I was told that if anything at all happened to the furniture the insurance would cover it (replace it no questions asked). I have a 1 year old and 2 other children which of course causes some wear and tear. We got a stain less than 1 year from purchase that would not come out. I placed the seat cushion cover in the washer and washed and dried per instructions and the zipper seams unraveled. I'm no longer able to zip the cover over the foam. There was also other damage due to the furniture being cheaply made. I filed a claim and it was denied after sending the same info and pictures 3 times. They kept requesting the same info. I asked to have a manager call me and never heard from them again and they did not respond to my email. Horrible customer service. Their insurance is a scam and the financing is a rip off. I will NEVER EVER purchase from Ashley's again and would never recommend them to anyone. read more

I purchased a complete family room worth of furniture recently and set up for delivery. We received a call that they were cancelling delivery due to weather. I do not have a problem with being cancelled due to weather, but I do have a problem with being put at the bottom of the list for my new delivery date. My family and I made arrangements to remove our old furniture and now have no furniture for two weeks. This is poor management, and we are very disappointed. read more

Signed up for yelp just to leave this review! We have had (2) deliveries scheduled for our $3,500 order and neither one was successful. The first delivery was scheduled a month in advance and they just never showed up. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE! The second attempt they confirmed our delivery for 3-6pm on Thursday. They called at 1pm on the delivery day asking if they could deliver early. I told them sorry my wife wouldn't be home until 3pm. At 3pm they actually pulled up to our driveway but then never got out of the delivery truck. My 9 month pregnant wife was waiting on them to come to the door and they just drove off!! I called immediately and they told me "No, one was home" and instead of just coming back to the house they told me they would have to "reschedule for another day." They couldn't have been more than 5 miles from our house when I called. At this point I pretty much got the idea that they just didn't fell like working. Staff were okay when checking out, they kept having computer issues and restarted 3 different time before finally a different rep checked us out. Then the delivery. We paid for the "white glove" delivery which was fine since they took up new furniture to second floor, however we were told they would remove our old furniture (mind you it was 2 box springs and 1 frame) in which we were told they don't do that. We were told by the manager they would take away all our old stuff which they did not. Called customer service only to be told the same thing that their white glove won't do any that and to have a great day. Tried calling the store only to be told management isn't in and to call customer service line. What a joke. Furniture itself looks nice, we just had a horrendous customer service with the company. Diffently will not be returning to Ashley and recommend staying clear unless you are delivering and taking care of your own furniture and trash, because they will not. read more

We walked into Ashley HomeStore and instantly were greeted by Patrick. He informed us of all the sales and financing options and then let us be to shop. We purchased a large sectional last March and within a few months the fabric was pilling up and started to look ten years old. We purchased the protection plan, which in hindsight was a big waste of money. Called to get the fabric looked at by someone, but was told there wasn't anything they could do. Neither warranty or protection plan covers the fabric wearing out so quickly. So in the end, a very poor customer service experience coupled with cheap materials. read more

Bought a couch on June 11, they gave us over a month of wait time to receive the couch. Within three days of delivery, called and said the couch would not arrive for another three weeks. Spoke with the manager of the store and did not call us back because she was helping other customers on the floor. It has been a huge mess since dealing with them, don't waste your time. Frustrated, went back to the store to try and purchase another couch. All other couches are also pushed back for another month and a half. The store will not be open long. How can you offer furniture to people and can't get them within two months. I closed on my new home quicker than Ashley can deliver furniture. read more

My husband and I ordered a patio set from Ashley's less than a year ago. If you want outdoor furniture to disintegrate within months of buying this is the place to get it from! We bought covers for each piece of furniture and always put them on after using and this is what they look like after a few short months. We have been dealing with getting credit for the furniture back sense November. The place is a joke. We have to call numerous times a week to have someone claim they will call us back and that's it been taken care of or we will have our refund within 2-4 weeks. Obviously that's not true considering it's been 6 months now. I finally received a voicemail from someone saying we will have it refunded to our account by the end of the day and when it didn't happen and I called yet again and the person I spoke with said it was still in review. I asked to speak to a manager and she claimed there are no managers or supervisors. We have spent multiple hours calling today just to get a run around. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that has good customer service and quality furniture. Don't end up like us with a patio set that looks like we grabbed it out of a garbage can. read more

Ashley furniture in O'fallon has the worst customer service I have ever received from a retailer. They did not tell us when we purchased furniture it could be up to 8 weeks or longer. We have been waiting with no calls back from managers Scott or Kelly like promised several times. Managers at this place are absolutely useless you can tell they do not manage by their team of CSR. We bought furniture from Art Van and it arrived on time and beautiful!!!! Would never deal with this place ever again. I'm still waiting if I do not receive it by. Saturday I'm going to spend my money at a place that believes in good old customer support!!!!!! read more

My wife and I have shopped at Ashley for many years and found items we really like. We've also found some others there that aren't quite as long lasting as we'd hoped. This last trip was for new bedroom furniture and mattress. The review is mostly for our salesman, curt. He was outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable about the products, especially mattresses and pillows. Very patient and personable, not pushy at all and gave us every opportunity to keep looking. We've always had good service and when we protect ourselves with the plans and warranties they have always come through, but in this case, Curt was exceptional. I would highly recommend this store for furniture shopping. read more
