9/2/20 - Terrible, terrible and I repeat myself TERRIBLE! Avoid at all costs. Gave delivery date of 1.5 months out to get us to buy, then failed to deliver for over one month after that - and then only HALF of the furniture. Without ANY updates, call backs or email responses to manager. On top of that, two of the four pieces delivered were either defective or damaged. 5 months later and we still haven't received a call back on our warranty claim and repeated follow up. I do not write reviews. Ever. Exception made here. Please avoid if so only they have nothing better to do than take care of their existing customers. UPDATE 9/4/20 - I ONLY get an online response from the corporate customer retention department AFTER I post a negative review publicly and they want to create the APPEARANCE they have someone working on the issue. Don't let the shopping experience fool you. Patrick was helpful with my purchase of a child's bedroom set. Once they have your money, they are zero help. When the bed was delivered, not only did the driver NOT know how to put the bed together, he left it unfinished and said I would be contacted. I wasn't. Mike, the store manager has been useless. The costumer service is even worse. They will not work with you on a delivery time. And they refused a refund for the broken, unused, and rather unsafe bed that is sitting in a 4 year olds bedroom. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! We purchased a dresser on clearance 3 or 4 weeks ago. We were told we had 10 days to pick it up. A week later, we went to pick it up and found out that they sold the dresser to someone else!! They tracked down another dresser and said they would deliver it for free on Wednesday morning. My husband took off work. The day prior, we got an automated call saying they would deliver it in the afternoon and they had our old address. I called Ashley and spoke to the manager, Kristen. She said that she couldn't change the delivery time but she could change the address. Since my husband only took a half day off work, I said I would work from home on Friday and accept delivery. On Thursday, I got the same automated call, and they STILL had the wrong address! I called Ashley again and spoke to Mike, the sales manager, as well as another manager. They said that they would make sure the address was changed. On Friday, the delivery driver calls, and he is at our OLD address trying to deliver! I was livid. I called Ashley AGAIN. They took $50 off the cost of the dresser and set the delivery up for Saturday, November 18 (today).This morning, I called Ashley customer service because I didn't receive an automated call with a delivery time. The customer service representative said delivery was not set up for today!!!!! Seriously???? I am DONE with Ashley Furniture!! I'm not even sure where to start. We bought our new furniture over a week ago and our living room is still empty. I'm not even sure when we're going to get it since we keep getting conflicting information, maybe Monday or maybe Thursday? We were supposed to pick it up last Saturday and (this is my favorite part) we rented a truck and went all the way to the warehouse to get it before casually being told that they didn't have it. On 5/25/2020 we purchased (paid in full) our new living room furniture set. They indicated at the purchase that due to COVID there would be a delay but we would get a phone call in the next week to get our estimated delivery date and it would likely be near the end of June. Since we didn't get a call from the store indicating when the furniture we paid for would be delivered we tried to call them. This was without success. After holding for over 45 mins we opted to complete a form on their website. 48+ hours later we get a call from corporate. Their response "Let me give you the store number." Obviously, since that didn't work the first time, we went to the store where the on-duty manager indicated he would look into the issue and notify us of the status. 72 hours later we did get a call that said he didn't know anything additional but would reach out again. We finally received a TEXT! We are expecting our furniture Aug 7th. Almost 2 months longer than they initially stated. Poor customer service, long wait times for furniture you have paid for. I am extremely disappointed today. We received multiple emails and phone calls letting us know that our furniture was going to be delivered today. We moved all of our furniture around to get ready for today's delivery. Here we are two hours after the given time frame and no delivery. So my husband called the 866 number given, only to find out our base is on back order and nothing will arrive until mid-May. I guess if we hadn't called, we could just be waiting all day since they can't seem to call us. My husband had also called multiple times to confirm we were getting everything today and they agreed we were. Interesting. Now I wonder what are they doing with my furniture that is ready? Went in to get an oversized recliner and was met at the door by Angelo. We told him what we were looking for and pointed us where to look. Wasn't pressured on any one type and he let us know if we had questions, he would be around. It was nice to look around without being pressured on what to buy. I will never buy from Ashley again for numerous reasons, such as. We bought a living set, dinning room set and a tall cabinet. We ordered on June 28, 2020. We were told that we would receive or furniture on Aug. 1. I received 5 e-mails canceling the Aug 1 date and rescheduling to other dates which did not happen. We finally had to go up to the store with complaints about the delivery of our furniture. We then got our furniture on Aug. 22 and every piece of both sets was broken or damaged. They have the Worst customer service of any store I have ever dealt with. During the time we were waiting for our furniture I had to make numerous calls to customer service. On 2 occasions I sat on hold for almost 1 1/2 to 2 hrs only for them to pick up the phone and hang up. Another time I was calling to cancel the order, sat on hold 2 hrs. when the girl answered I told her my name she responded to me and when I told her I was calling to cancel, she started saying hello, hello are you there? Caller I cannot hear you and hung up. I made many other calls to them as well to the point nothing was resolved and we had to go to the store to complain about the delay on the furniture and their horrible customer server. Now we are waiting still 2 mos later for someone to come fix are issues. We have called customer service and they told us someone would call in 2 days, which never happened. Wow. So far a horrible experience, and definitely will never spend money with them again. We ordered a kids bedroom set (chest, and bed) Received furniture yesterday from Ashley after waiting for 4 weeks. Initially I had to call them to see where my furniture was. Turns out it was sitting in the warehouse, and nobody from Ashley decided to call and let me know. Fast forward to 6/25/14. Furniture delivered, guys left and said if there is any defect to call within 72 hours. Good thing they said that because upon inspection I found part of the chest covered in furniture putty, or filler like they triedt to cover something up with one of those repair pens. Horrible job btw. Then, looked at the bottom of the chest, and sure enough the bottom left front corner is totally smashed. The chest is wobbly... I have bought particle board cheapo stuff from Ikea, and that is sturdier than this junk. The bed. The headboard has gaps and uneven seams where it was put together. The footboard is also scratched. I have called Ashley and also filed a claim online with no response as of yet. I am leaving this review open in hopes that they fulfill their part of the bargain and fix the problem. Hello, We purchased a bedroom set, dining room set and couch and love seat last August in O'Fallon Missouri and it all was delivered in January when our new home was completed. Our issue is with the best room set, the day before, the delivery team communicated that part of the bed was missing and could not be assembled. I good faith I told them to go ahead and deliver, thinking the missing piece would be in shortly. Here is my issue: We communicated with our sales person who originally told us that it was all there and they would hold it for us. When he checked he told us the missing piece that it would be available in February. He also told us that we could have to come into the store and get into the managers face to get anything done. He stopped speaking with us in January and would not return our calls. We went to the store last week and spoke with a receptionist who listened to our story, but was not sure what she could do. I asked to speak with the manager, so she called the associate sales manager over, we told him our story and asked what we can do to resolve. We suggested: Perhaps lend is a bed frame and box spring our guests won't have to sleep in a hotel Tell us what bedroom sets are available and we would trade. We are not picky also long as it would be similar we would be ok for that. Or give us a refund, the receptionist told us that probably happen because it has been in our house. I told her the mattress is still in the bag, the bed parts are still in the box never opened. It's all laying in the bedroom untouched. I also asked for the contact information of the District Manager or Coordinator, I was informed that these are franchise stored and there was no such person Well the Associate Sales Manager, told us he would do some checking and get back with us. I asked him when he said 24-48 hours. I asked for his card. I never heard from him , so I called him today 96 hours later, he was driving and asked if he could call me back. When he called back, he said that it had been handed over to yet another manager who could make decisions or repair. I reminded him that it was not damaged, pieces were missing. I asked what about a refund, he said the other higher manager would have to make that decision After I thought it over, I called him back and left a VM, told him I thought I had been misled and mistreated enough by Ashely and that I want a refund including taxes and freight, I wanted an answer by tomorrow Monday the 21st of February and I want the furniture out of my home this week. The sales manager called back and told me that my complaint had been escalated and I would hear back on Tuesday. On 2/22 I heard received a call from a nice person, who listened, apologized for Ashley, but told me that he couldn't authorize an exchange, so he gave the corporate number. He at least was a communicator and informative. Today I called the Ashely Corporate # given and after I told my story, I was told that I had the wrong corp.# I was given another number to call. That person was professional but there was nothing could be done, and Ashley doesn't give refunds once the furniture is in the home. So in recapping, Ashley has my money and 7 months and I don't have a useable bedroom set. My only hope is to wait until the end of March ( now 8 months,) and hope the missing piece shows up. I am highly disappointed in my customer care experience from Ashely, In my opinion this franchise for sure needs a refreshment course in customer solutions, communications and follow through. I expect a full refund and the furniture removed from my home. It is hard for me to believe that In the distressed retail world of today, to have this kind of lackadaisical attitude that exbibits a non-caring attitude and it is really a shame to have this kind of bad taste in my mouth. I went into the store a couple of weeks ago looking for an entertainment center. I saw one that I liked, but wasn't sure about the color. I took a picture, it had the price tag visible, as well as the three next to it. After comparing to the color of rest of my furniture I decided to purchase it. They advertised a big sale today. The entertainment center had a sign on it saying "SECRET SALE," secret was they raised the prices on all the entertainment centers $50. When I asked an employee about it, why the price was higher now that it was on sale, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Rude employees! They must think customers are ignorant. I actually felt like I needed to take a shower after dealing with their floor sales people. They are worse than the lowest of used car salesman. They offer these great sales terms but then try to get you into a lesser one by offering you percentages they won't let you have with other advertised deals such as 0/60 month terms. Then I order a bedding set....initially told it would be delivered the 19th Then 10 minutes later the 20th. I wait all day on the 20th even though I get a call the day before saying they can only bring the mattress not the box spring and they don't even deliver that. I call their staff and they are snippy with me. I asked for a supervisor and am told there isn't one and then I'm hung up on. I will go into the store tomorrow since I can't get a salesperson on the phone DURING BUSINESS HOURS and cancel this $800 order. They are the worst filth in the industry and of all the companies that think they don't need anybody's business this is one that hopefully will go chapter 11 soon! read more

When we were shopping for furniture for our new house the sales associate was very nice & helpful. But unfortunately when it came to the delivery of the furniture we had purchase that's where all the stress & hell came from. The delivery guys were LATE, it was sprinkling and they didn't cover my furniture to protect it from the water. Plus they dirtied my new carpet w their boots! You could tell they were LAZY & CARELESS! Even after I asked them to wipe their shoes before entering my house. My furniture was damaged and dented and scratched. Top it off we order a very nice & expensive dinning table and here I am a month later and it's still laying on my floor not put together. The holes in the tables to put together doesn't match the legs or base. This is the 2nd table they have sent to try and solve the issue. And the issue has yet to be solved. I've had two technicians come and try to assemble it but they can't. Ashley's furniture has even sent missing parts and the tech wasn't able to put my table together because the holes don't match! The company will not allow me to return the table. It's complete bullshit. I don't know how many time I've called customer care, but I am so sick of calling. These people have not helped me or solved the problem. Even when I asked to speak to the manager they refused!? Why? I am very unhappy with the company and will NEVER spend a dime there! Dear Potential and Current Ashley Furniture Consumers, I would like to share my experiences from a recent purchase from Ashley Furniture located on Highway K in O'Fallon, MO. I purchased a full size bedroom set for my child, and it was the worst consumer experience that I have ever encountered in my life. My family purchased the furniture in the beginning of December and expected the initial delivery on December 21, 2015. I emailed and confirmed scheduled date as the store requested. I took off work for the delivery and no one showed up or called. I spoke to a representative from the store and was informed that there was not any record of my delivery nor a record of either confirmation (by email or phone). After speaking to management, another delivery was scheduled for December 23 or 24, 2015. I received a call on the 23rd and was informed AGAIN I would not be receiving the furniture I purchased. I attempted to call corporate office and no one returned my call. After several attempts I spoke to corporate, but no one could offer any explanations or practical solutions. By this time I did want to cancel my order, but I have an 11 year old whose heart was set on this bedroom set for Christmas. Reluctantly, I set up another delivery for the December 27, 2015. I emailed and called the store again for confirmation of the delivery. When the delivery arrived only a piece of my order was presented. The driver didn't have any record of the other pieces. I showed Ashley Furniture my receipt and was informed I would receive the rest of the pieces in January. This is an unacceptable way to treat consumers. Ashley Furniture didn't honor our contract, has lost their integrity and trust and offered no remedies to a continuous nightmare. Ashley was unwilling to re-establish trust, restore the relationship, and didn't preserve any of their integrity. I called and after no return call, I had to go to the store to find out what was going on. I spoke to a manager and pieces of my order was STILL missing. Now when I ordered the furniture, there was not anything on back-order. I canceled the purchase, because I was fed up with the lack of communication, several failed delivery expectations, lost wages, and a broken child's heart. Buyer beware of Ashley Furniture. Saleman was very patient with us!!!!! I purchased entire bedroom set & living room tables. After the purchase I needed to cancel 2 of the pieces. Office staff was VERY helpful! Delivery gets a 2 star though!!!!.... We knew they were coming and did our best to get 2 dogs/2 cats put up but in the end (disabled husband at home)... delivery guys kept leaving door!!!! and 1 dog got out and were afraid cats did as well....all animals are home but delivery guy could have been more helpful with keeping the door closed. read more

We purchased a sofa sleeper last year and used it 3 times. We noticed that our cushions were sinking in this year and contacted customer service on 10/07/2020. (This was after holding for 25 min) I spoke with the lady and told her our situation and (after 30 min of trying to figure it out) she said it was a part that needed to be fixed and she would send someone out to fix it. (We paid 400.00 for a 3 year warranty). After 3 more phone calls and horrendous waiting times it is now November 25th and still no resolution. SERIOUSLY!!! Don't waste your time here if you need furniture within a reasonable time frame. So I initially ordered a cocktail table and it got delayed, but no big deal. It finally arrived and a whole chunk of it was busted off so then I had to start the waiting process all over. Next I order a living room set, accent chair and book case. Every single piece got put on back order and delivered later than agreed upon. The end tables and coffee table finally arrive a month later, but no couch, book case or chair. And I didn't notice the day of delivery, but the coffee table has a big defect on it that isn't easily visualized unless you're standing back to one side instead of inspecting it up close. Then a couple weeks later my bookcase comes. I've been waiting on the couch and chair for about two months now. If it's on back order fine, but don't keep scheduling delivery dates with me just to cancel the day before. It's a waste of my time and I still don't have my damn furniture. So they are either liars to get your business or horribly incompetent. One more delay and I'm just going to cancel my order and go elsewhere. read more

This store gets a 1 star because of how poorly their customer service is. Make sure you don't order anything that is back ordered from that store because they don't care if it's back ordered or not. Ordered a kitchen table, chairs, and cabinet summer 2021. Was told the chairs were back ordered for 8 weeks. That's fine they were back ordered, but nobody felt the need to call to update me that they kept getting back ordered. Every time I called, I would either never hear back from them or get the run around. They won't call you to update you of any changes on the shipping date. The store manager has a terrible attitude for someone in charge. Another associate offered to help with the situation of my chairs being back ordered and promised they would be in stock in April and he would keep me updated. That was an empty promise because I haven't heard from him since being in the store in February. While I understand the employees don't control whether or not items are back ordered, it is their job to update their customers on the changes to their orders.
