Horrible, terrible, horrendous, worst customer service. They are all very, very, very eager to sell but not help address any issues. I am just blown away by the amount of negative feedback they have and I agree with all of them. This place should be avoided!!! HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY SELL SOMETHING THAT IS DISCONTINUED?!??!?!
My wife and I came in to purchase furniture for our new home because after shopping around, they had the best deals. Especially after buying a Tempur-Pedic, they agree to throw in our dining room set for "free". Our purchase was a huge purchase as we bought furniture for our whole house and we decided to get everything from one place. Never have I ever been to a furniture place quite like this where you can haggle, but I guess that's how they make their sales. We ended up getting our couch, bed set, mattress, bedroom furniture, and dining room set from here.
First, the delivery scheduling was absolutely horrible. They said our mattress would be delivered on a Saturday, but I get a text message to confirm my delivery for a Monday. Confused as I was, I called and they said that they made a mistake. They were going to deliver the furniture on that Saturday and to just ignore the text. Ok...well the mattress did arrive but not until 11:30PM on that Saturday because they "got lost and went to Victorville" when we're located near North Fontana. Yeah..that expression you have on your face is the same as the other people that I tell.
Second, we get our couch (partial) and bed set and bedroom furniture delivered with no problem. Everything was good. Delivered, signed, done.
Thirdly, I get a mysterious phone call saying the piece of the couch that was missing was discontinued. Angrily, I called the customer service phone line to see what was going on. She said "oh we made a mistake and they just gave me a number to call and to pass the message." What kind of S...? Anyway, I decided to check in on our dining room set since I was already on the line and waited 15 minutes to see the status since it was "backordered". She tells me this is the piece that was discontinued. When we bought this set, the salesperson told us this is a new item which is why they don't have it in stock yet, now it's discontinued? So you guys never even made this thing then....
So I decided to take off work early and go to the store with my wife to check on the dining room table. The manager (Jorge) seemed like an imbecile and didn't even know how to take care of things. This is when I realized this place is very disorganized and poorly managed. So we go and pick a new table and he offered to refund the difference to our card because the one we ended up going with was cheaper. We asked him "well how is that helping us?" You're not giving us anything for our inconvenience when this is your fault. He offered to give us a $200 gift, and we declined. We don't want to have to deal with this whole thing again after all our furniture is delivered. Why the F... would we want your gift card? After all, he decided to credit us an extra $200 to our card, but we felt that still wasn't enough for our inconvenience as we had designed everything according to the color of the table. Now we're going to have mismatched items.
Now we are just hoping the rest of our furniture gets delivered with no issues. Poor, poor, poor customer service. I am a person who never makes a scene over these things, but Ashley's needs to figure some other thing out because it seems to me like they have a lot of angry and misinformed customers. read more
