My mother has purchased from them in the past, and has recently relocated. We visited again to purchase a complete living room and dining room. The shopping experience was nice, Leticia was helpful and due to time restraints on our visit, she assisted us quickly and professionally. We expressed our urgent needs and avoided any pieces that were going to be on backorder. Upon finalizing the order we were told everything was in stock, and would deliver on 3/13. She had to run to the customer service desk and then returned with receipts and we were on our way. The delivery went well, except three pieces were missing. We reviewed the Invoice and sure enough, there was an additional sales order for those pieces. Shame on me for trusting Leticia. The delivery guys advised me to speak to Customer Service. After holding for 30 minutes, Peggy assisted my call. She had no reference to my missing pieces on her end and had to call the store. Turns out the additional pieces were backordered until 3/31! Peggy lets me know that I can cancel the additional pieces at no penalty to me and all I had to do was call the store. I call the store and state my situation, no apology for the inconvenience, no empathy shown, instead the girl (who was being coached by someone else, because I could clearly hear her) tells me the pieces were backordered at the time of sale, so essentially I should have known, and in order to cancel, my mother would need to go into the store since it was financed. I proceed to ask for a manager because this was not shared with me by Peggy the previous CS two I spoke to. "Sure, my lead is right here and she will tell you the same thing" was her response. After holding for 5 more minutes (even though the lead was right next to her), "the lead" Samantha comes on the line and again, shows no understanding or empathy, and states the same spewl. I proceeded to tell her how inconvenient it is for me to travel 20 miles to cancel the pieces, that the store failed to tell me were on backorder, and Samantha had the nerve to correct me and say well you don't have to come, your Mom does. My mother is 70 years old, and I have to do everything with her, so the smart ass remarks were not needed and was so condescending. I asked to speak to her manager and she basically told me there was no one else to speak to. I asked for a district manager and she said they had to follow corporate policy and could not speak to me. As little as my request may have been, it's terrible that no one could empathize and see what could be done to accommodate our requests. MY MOTHER and I will be visiting the store in person, to cancel the additional pieces, and if it weren't for my Mother needing furniture, I would cancel the whole order just for the bad post sale service. They're lucky I'm not filing a claim for my scratched walls, and the repairs it will take to correct them. Sorry to Cassandra who called to see how delivery went, after all the bad experiences, I wasn't to pleasant to her, and it wasn't her fault.
Update; drove 20 miles to the store so I could cancel the order as required and it turns out Samantha canceled the order after all. Terrible service! The girl at the customer service desk was nice and tried to make up for it by providing a $100 gift card, but the gift card could only be used in store, so thanks but no thanks!
