This is a five-star mattress shopping experience, bar none. Paul is the type of knowledgable salesman that just simply doesn't exist anymore. He is honest and helpful and just so darn sweet - I had been overly shopping and researching and was driving myself mad. Paul's expertise and willingness to help gave me the confidence to finally just - make a dang decision. And I landed on just the perfect one: a Posh and Lavish ultra-plush (its not THAT soft, all-latex mattresses just tend to be way firmer) with pricing over 1k below the manufacturer's website's listed MSRP. Paul was responsive via text and was so kind and communicative throughout the whole process. And made delivery a breeze. The whole shopping experience was the best, most honest - no weird and sketchy warranty policies, this man just really wants to find you your perfect bed. Thank you, Paul! To boot, he also offers unusual, hard-to-find mattress models - my father-in-law sleeps on a mattress that's as firm as box spring, and I was excited to discover that Paul stocked those sorts of options too. All across the spectrum. I can't wait to go back and give this wonderful man more of my business. read more

We bought our first mattress from Paul 15 years ago, and upgraded only 4 years ago to switch to King size. In addition, we bought mattresses for our kids. These are the best, most comfortable, non gimmicky mattresses ever!! Along with that, the customer service is impeccable! We had a small issue and Paul came to our house to solve it!!! We highly recommend Costplus mattress!! read more

My husband and I visited because, as you can guess, we were in need of a new mattress. We were warmly greeted by Paul as we walked through the door and he was so kind in helping us find the perfect mattress for us. Although we didn't end up buying a mattress at all, I would definitely recommend this place because they're family owned and the service is top notch. read more

Paul is very nice, honest, friendly, very knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had regarding my mattress. I highly recommend going to Cost Plus if you are looking for a mattress. read more

My wife and I had been looking for a very firm mattress as it would help with our back issues. We had gone to stores to try out several brand mattresses. The firm or extra firm ones were not that as well as expensive. We were driving and my wife saw the Cost plus discount mattress sign and we decided to go in. I didn't expect much. I was not correct at all. Mo greeted us and gave us his full attention without all the blah blah blah sales pitches. We told him what we were looking for and he immediately showed us two true extra firm inner coil mattresses. We liked one that was grey instead of the typical white. My wife wanted it even more firm and Mo told us that they actually manufacture their mattresses and could add more padding to it to add firmness. Just Give them a week and the mattress would be delivered. We ordered it and to our amazement, it was ready and delivered four days later. It is very firm and we sleep so well with less back pain due to the even support. The price was much less than many other mattresses we saw. That they readily offered to customize it and accomplished this as promised , for us is unheard of. We are very satisfied. read more

My family and I will ALWAYS purchase our mattresses from this "100% made in the USA" mattress store. Their mattresses are high quality, and made to order, and are very affordable for the quality of what you will receive. The owner Paul Niederer is such a kind, helpful, wonderful human being. He is so helpful and personable. We have purchased two mattresses from him (one for our son and one for my husband and I) and we LOVE them both! I highly recommend this mattress store. An easy 5 Star rating. read more

Awesome prices and fantastic customer service! Paul was incredibly helpful and was genuine in his desire to assist us in finding new twin mattresses for a kid's bed/trundle. We ended up choosing the least expensive option ($100) as we needed 8-9" inch only but it was great quality. I had shopped around and this $100 mattress was WAY better than some of the $200-300 mattresses being sold elsewhere. I was also really happy to support a local business. Highly recommend this place! read more

It was great doing business with Paul. He has the patience of a saint. My wife changed her mind on different mattress and box springs and Paul went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with our final decision. If you want a wonderful firm mattress I suggest you try "The Rock". It's the best mattress I have ever slept on! Thanks for everything Paul. read more

This is our second mattress we have purchased from Paul. He is always most helpful & doesn't try to oversell you. If you don't need a new box spring he doesn't push it. Very reasonable price & has a team that will deliver & take away your old mattress. Highly recommend. read more

I went looking for a new bed after I got married (about 7 years ago) when I found this place. I always try to support small family owned businesses so this place really appealed to me. Paul the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about his products. He really made me feel very good about making a decision on what mattress was a perfect fit for us. Well 7 years and 2 kids later we still go see Paul for all of our mattress needs. including the most recent purchase of a twin mattress for my son. I have referred countless friends and family members to COST PLUS MATTRESS, all of whom are just as satisfied as we were. Thanks Again Paul! read more

Paul knows mattresses inside and out. He's unlike any other retail mattress store owner, since he grew up on the manufacturing end. He tells you exactly what's inside the mattress. He offers both the best all latex and traditional double-sided mattresses. That's what makes his store unique. He sells Talalay mattresses that are buoyant and supportive, breathable and cool and hyperallergenic too. I just purchased a 'Beautiful' Pure Talalay Bliss latex mattress with a 2" latex topper on an adjustable frame. Plus, I purchased Copper-infused pillows. If you have any sleep issues that are health related, Paul will guide you which mattress is best. He offers orthopedically contouring latex mattresses tgat you can't find in most mattress stores at an affordable price. Delivery was prompt and professional by a family owned businessman who treats you with authenticity, sincerity and integrity. I would give this store a10 STAR Rating if I could! Do yourself a favor and seek out this mattress store gem. read more

Amazing and very friendly team! Without a doubt I'm so glad my husband and I purchased at Cost Plus Mattress!! I 100% recommend!

We purchased a Pure Latex Bliss ActiveFusion "Beautiful" Cal King (mattress only) from Paul Niederer of Cost Plus Mattress (Sept 2012). We were impressed with Paul's old fashioned way of doing business, his knowledge of mattresses, his industry experience, and the quality of his products. We needed only the mattress after we determined (with Paul's help) that our existing box set was very well constructed, and could handle the weight of the latex mattress, while also providing excellent support, due to the steel grid construction of the box set. Our existing metal frame is the heavy duty type, so we could continue to use that as well. We decided to make the drive to La Verne and purchase from Paul @ Cost Plus Mattress for several reasons: Paul is 100% focused on customer satisfaction, honesty, and doing business the old fashioned way. His family has been in the mattress business for 25+ years. Cost Plus is a family business (Paul's nephew also works there). Paul is all about educating the consumer about mattresses, comfort, and support, making sure you get a durable, high quality product that fits your needs, without the hype or pressure selling. His prices are extremely reasonable, especially when compared to the prices seen in the large chain stores. He offers a 100% Money Back Guarantee (it's in plain view on the website). I also have it in writing on the invoice. Paul says that if we don't get anything out of it, he doesn't want anything out of it. He really does business the old fashioned way. Paul is a veteran that served our country in both Desert Storm and Desert Shield. You can learn more about Cost Plus, Paul, and his background at the following URL: http://www.laverneonline.com/2011/05/19/something-to-sleep-on-its-not-the-name-of-the-mattress-but-what-goes-into-the-name-that-counts/ By the way, Paul didn't ask (or even hint) for me to write a review for him. I'm doing it because I think he deserves it, and because more people should know where they can go to get a quality mattress from an honest, knowledgeable, family run business, at a very reasonable price. I hope this helps someone else looking for a good mattress in Southern California. Mike read more

We recently purchased a king mattress from Cost + and we are very happy with it. We worked with Paul and he helped us pick out a comfortable mattress. We ended up with a double sided pillow top which is great since we can flip it to help prolong its life. We needed a shorter foundation which wasn't a problem. Paul ordered us a 4in tall box spring and it didn't take any longer to receive the bed. His delivery guys were quick and professional. They were careful to not damage anything when bringing the bed up to the second floor bedroom. They got a nice size tip and they deserved it. We are very happy with our new mattress and are sleeping well. The wife loves it too! If your looking for a new mattress check out Cost Plus. read more

When I called Paul was able to look up my order from 8 or 9 years ago to get me the same Mattress that I bought before. I called for a quote, he asked if it needed to be delivered and I said yes. I appreciated that he remembered me. I highly recommend this Mattress store and they sell furniture too. read more

We had a mattress that needed replacing. We started at Cost Plus Mattress in La Verne, but went to several other stores to check on prices and quality. The other stores tried to pressure us into making a quick decision. We weren't pressured at all at Cost Plus Mattress. We came back to Cost Plus Mattress in La Verne and got the best deal and the best king size mattress ever! The delivery was right on time and they took away the old mattress. We've had the mattress for several months and we're still glad that we got our mattress with Paul at Cost Plus. read more

The word "honor" is rarely used when describing a business in today's world, but when the owner of Cost Plus Mattress gives you his word, that is exactly what he is doing: giving you his word of honor. We had a comfort problem with the first bed we purchased but Paul stood by his word and replaced the bed with another. We could not have asked for more and the replacement bed/mattress is perfect. read more

I contacted Paul at Cost Plus Mattress on recommendation from my brother who had purchased a Christelle Pillow Top eastern king size mattress at what seemed to be a much lower price than what I would have expected to pay for a king. I live in San Francisco, so I asked Paul if he could deliver to Norcal. While that proved to be not cost effective, Paul referred me to another retailer in Norcal. It was greatly appreciated. read more

Paul at Cost Plus is the best! My boyfriend and I really had a difficult situation and needs, and he went way out of his way to help us out. He went way out of his way to help us with delivery too! It is obvious he cares about his customers happiness. If you need a mattress, come here! read more

Paul was extremely helpful. The mattress and box spring set I purchased is very high quality. It's so comfortable and it's a great value. I cannot believe that such a high quality mattress exists at this price point. I appreciated that Paul initially advised me that I did not need to replace my existing mattress. However, I had it for 13 years and when I moved last year, my friend's son dragged the box spring across a storage facility corridor, which basically ruined it. Still, Paul suggested that I just replace the box spring. I ended up buying the mattress and box spring because I found it to be so comfortable. Paul does go above and beyond. He helped my folks resolve an issue with their bed on his own time and did not charge anything. The delivery guys showed up right on time with my new set. They were friendly and courteous. I appreciated the handwritten thank you card I received after my purchase. Cost Plus Mattress is a first rate business and I recommend it highly. read more

This was one of the best experience I had in purchasing a mattress.Paul the owner was directly focused on me and what I needed in terms of a mattress. Knowledgeable about his product and offering suggestions to accommodate what I wanted. His pricing was within my budget. Earlier went to a Sit and Sleep and got a bottomline price on a similar mattress/box spring and Paul beat them by several hundred dollars.Delivery was as promised with no problems.Mattress is really comfortable and I'm very happy with my purchase. Paul sells all sorts of mattresses, and will work with you to find the one to fit your needs. I wanted a quality bed that wouldn't sag, break, or cause me back pain. He showed me one that fit the bill perfectly, then threw in a guest bed for a very cheap price. He also arranged shipping (his son and son's friend would deliver it the next weekend) at a reasonable cost. I bought an expensive bed from Paul, made from Talalay Latex, that I couldn't get elsewhere. I bought it because I wanted quality sleep, and Paul gave me a guarantee that this was the answer. He wasn't wrong. Whether you want to spend $300 or $3000 on your next bed, Paul will steer you in the right direction. read more

Great great!!! Customer service, I saw this business originally on Yelp and it sparked my interest to check it out and the Yelp reviews are true. Very comfortable environment and Paul is welcoming. Very personable guy and informative about mattresses. He doesn't pressure you to just buy from him and gives you the information that you need to have a great nights sleep. His prices are adorable and he doesn't just show you his most expensive mattress when you walk in just to sale you ( like some places do). I was there about an hour and couldn't make up my mind since a mattress is an investment for the next 5-10 years but great place :) read more

My wife wanted a new mattress and to upgrade from a queen to a king and something better of course than average. Thankfully I found Paul cause I know nothing about mattresses except how to sleep on them lol. He showed me the difference between a variety of different beds until we decided on the Lavish Latex series mattress. We decided to move forward on our first visit and purchase the set and he had it delivered to our home within a few days and set up. I couldn't be happier with our bed of choice. All I can tell you is that from what I can see with beds there's a lot of places to choose from out there so if your looking to get a lot for your money and a place you can trust I would tell you to come see Paul cause you will defiantly not be disappointed. read more
