Poor customer service Bought a king mattress over $1,000. Depressions started showing up months after purchase. We've had technicians come out 4 times each saying something different. 6 months ago it was 1.375 in depression and 1 month ago it was 0.75 in depression... how is that possible? Talked to the store and after a 1.5 years of back and forth the lady I spoke with today asked if a Sealy technician has looked at it since their technicians aren't trained on Sealy mattresses. Why did it take them 1.5 years to tell me to call Sealy instead of their own customer service line? They have no empathy when speaking with me as well. Seems like all they want is a sale and care very little after someone has made the purchase. Spent 30 min today on hold with their customer service line before being connected. The lady had no empathy or resolution other than scheduling another technician visit. From 10am-10:45am I called the store several times and it kept saying they were closed when it was during their open hours. Lady I finally spoke with let me know they are short staffed... So pleased with my furniture purchase. They offered 60 months of interest free financing and we were helped by Mike who was great to work with. He was honest, thorough and patience as we took our time to be sure of our large purchase. We bought a king temperpedic and a whole new bedroom set. Our bed is a little too firm at the moment as he said it would be, but I'm sure we are going to love it once it's broken in. He told us it'll be a month or so before it felt like the floor sample. Bought a dining set and sectional sofa december 2017. Had the dining set replaced after 6 months cuz the screws were falling out. About a year later we noticed the seats were crumbling, and the screws falling out. The sectional has a 4 inch hole at the seam in a spot we hardly sit on. I called customer service knowing our warranty expired and of course they cant do anything to help. I gave 2 stars cuz i like the way the furniture looks, however its just not worth it to buy cheap furniture. SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! A lot of reviews are posted from their purchasing experience. We purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture, they convinced us to purchase the warranty. The amount paid for the warranty was suppose to be refunded to us if we didn't use it within the 5 years we had the furniture. I called them before the 5 years was completed and they told me to call right after the 5 year mark. I did call them and 5 months later they still do not want to refund me. The manager will not talk to me, Jasmine the customer service representative never returned my calls. I had to call them once/twice and week and now they told me that the operations manager said she will not approve. The warranty company confirmed I never used the warranty. I do not recommend Ashley Furniture because of their customer service and warranty program they offer. read more

The place is nice with lots of furniture samples. Salesman and manager were friendly and helpful. The issue is scheduling the delivery. Purchase was made on Dec. 1st 2021 and told everything was in stock at warehouse. Was given a delivery date in early January. We never got a call confirming delivery so I called customer support and they said the delivery was pushed back to mid February. Promised February date came and went, no one called or confirmed. Spoke to Customer care again and our schedule delivery date is now June!!! Wtf am I crazy or something! 6 months and still no guarantee of getting my furniture. I would not suggest doing business with this company. While the salespeople were nice, they were also a bit pushy. They try really hard to get you to make the purchase on their private credit card, and when we told them we needed to go home to take measurements, the owner tried really hard to get us to commit to buying with zero-down before we left to check, which would have been a disaster for us because the furniture was in fact too large for the intended room. We had two additional negative experiences shopping here. First, we bought a very expensive Tempurpedic mattress - it was the same base price as buying from Tempurpedic directly, but they offered us a small discount so we got it there. Tempurpedic has a 90-day sleep trial, and we ended up wanting to exchange the bed for a different firmness. This company will not honor the Tempurpedic return policy or accept any mattress returns, so we are stuck with a $4k bed that we are not fully satisfied with. Also, the discount I mentioned was part of their labor day sale. They offered $100 back as a prepaid gas card for every $1k you spent (We spent ~6k total). Getting this money has been a HUGE hassle. They make you redeem each card separately thought multiple verification steps, and they gave us six separate online $100 prepaid cards, with expiration dates that change at each stage. Meaning you can't buy anything over $100 unless you do so in person with the cards on a phone app. The app also doesn't show the balance on any of the cards. It feels like they genuinely want to frustrate you out of trying to get your money. Note: When I said you'd have to buy in-person to get the full value, I said so because they ended up giving us Mastercards instead of gas cards, so it doesn't seem like it has to be used on gas. read more

I had a terrible experience at you store located in Montclair, Ca. on 12/12/2020 at approximately 3:00 P.M. My girlfriend and I went to the store in hopes of purchasing a bed she had found on the Ashley website. We entered the store and noticed there was no one there to greet us. We walked around in search of a salesperson. I saw a gentleman standing alone (later identified as Mhaher) with a name tag on. We approached him and my girlfriend showed him a picture of the bed we wanted to purchase on her phone. He glanced at the picture and rudely stated "we don't have that bed here." Mhaher walked away, approached some other customers and engaged in a conversation with them. This was very unprofessional. Had he been assisting them prior to our arrival, he could have simply summoned a coworker over to assist us, but instead he just walked away with the other customers. We walked around the store without any direction looking for the bed. There were 4 employees standing around talking. I approached them and asked was there a manager available. I wanted to let them know how rude their salesperson had been. One of the employees standing there stated he was a manager. He gave the name Shawn. I told him about what had just occurred. He didn't seem to care. I would think that at the least he would had offered an apology, and asked one of the salespeople who were clearly doing nothing, to assist us. Due to his lack of concern we left the store and went to Mathis Brothers where I purchased a bedroom set. Once I got home and started building it I notice the footboard has a crack or it's broken also the headboard had a scratch.For the price there selling this bed not worth it. If I could give this location a 0 I would. I had recently went in to make a large bedroom set purchase and I was completely lied to. I had been told it would be a 14 piece bed set they charged me $2600 but when I called in to Ashley they said it was only $2100 and items that I was told would be included were not. After going to speak to a manager they basically did not care and they did not try to rectify the situation at all. Once I spoke to leasing they told me my $1000 deposit would take 2-3 weeks to be sent back. Don't come here they will rip you off and not give money back!!!!! Ashley has had to reschedule my delivery 3 times. The first time they brought my bed, they forgot to bring the drawers that go under the bed. I was ok because Ashley was going to bring them again the following week. The following week comes, they call to confirm my delivery, I even ask the lady from dispatch to confirm that the drawers are coming. She made a note and confirmed the drawers were coming. Now the day of delivery comes and the driver shows up with no drawers. I call Ashely Montclair to ask why this is happening, and she told me that looks like the initial order was written incorrectly and continued to be written incorrectly. I get scheduled for a third delivery the following week, and they show up. Finally, the drawers arrive, but guess what, one of the railings for the drawer is broken and now I have a tech scheduled to come to take a look at the drawers. This has been 4 weeks of nonsense. I'm really glad that I was offered $100 gift cards to write my initial 5 star, review because it's at least some sort of compensation for this headache that was caused due to miswritten paperwork from the day of my initial order. read more

I've been a customer of Ashley furniture for probably 30 years. The quality of furniture has gone down considerably over the last seven years. I've purchased two sofas, two recliners end tables lamps rugs. Their customer service is terrible all sourced out to India. Both power reclining sofas in less than a year had problems with the material and workmanship Ashley furniture refuses to do anything. I have even purchased the protection plan but the protection plan will not cover anything that's worn. It has to be a cut. I have a rip in my sofa and the sofa when I called Ashley first picture was still under warranty, but they said it's from Customer use. I'm 66 years old and live here alone. What could I possibly have done to tear the sofa except geting on and off of it. I will never buy another piece of furniture from Ashley ever again. read more

A relative had purchased a recliner here a few months ago. That seems to have worked out well, so when my mom needed a chair, she was set on getting exactly the same one. She asked us to order it for her. Although I was slightly spooked by the reviews that say they didn't deliver as promised, our delivery was indeed on time as promised, without any problems. I was, however, a bit disappointed with the in-store service. Even as friendly as the lady who greeted us was, when we showed her a photo of the recliner that had been purchased here a few months ago, all she did was walk us over to some catalogs, saying in effect "if you can find it I'll be happy to write it up for you". Then she walked away and never came back. After spending a long time unable to find it in the catalogs, we finally called our relative who had purchased the same chair, and asked them to dig out the receipt and read us the item number. Once we had that, we were able to flag down another salesperson who quickly found the item and wrote up our sale. I'd say the on-time delivery as promised carries more weight than the lack of in-store service, and quality of the product meets our expectations as well. When it was delivered the guys said it will take 3 hrs to blow up to its normal state. It's been 3 DAYS!!!! The mattress does NOT work! It's a piece of cardboard!!! We are trying to get a refund and they told us we have to wait another 5 days from the 2 weeks it took for them to deliver to us! I have heard many advertisements for Ashley Furniture, but this was my first time to visit. I went in, was promptly greeted, but not "tailed" while browsing. I enjoyed being able to look at the displays without feeling harassed to make a purchase. After some time I was approached by the same lady who greeted me at the door. She was very pleasant asked a couple questions, offered her assistance should I need it, then left me to browse. Whew! I resumed looking around the fabulous store and found the perfect sofa. I summoned the salesperson who gave me several options for purchase. The transaction was professional, courteous, and fast. The sofa was delivered as promised and the gentlemen who delivered were very respectful and quick to set up. I am one very satisfied customer! I highly recommend this store! My boyfriend and I went into the store hoping to furnish our first apartment. We found some amazing couches and love seats. It was all going well until about half way into the trip. 1. A family came in behind us also looking, although they decided to not buy anything, they thanked the sales associates and left. After they left, The associates up front IMMEDIATELY began bad mouthing them. Calling them "broke dreamers", "waste of time", and many other rude comments that were loud enough that we could hear from in the middle of the store. We ended up buying a love seat that was on sale for $500. Because of covid, it would take a month to receive, we totally understood and made the payment in cash (this is important for later.) The lady that helped us was a little snippy and rude but we chalked it up to her just having a bad day, or her being tired. We both get it, we work with the public. About 15 days later we found a love seat that was cheaper at another store, so we went in and cancelled the order. They said that since it was in cash they would have to send the refund to corporate in Wisconsin and it would take a maximum of 15 days until we RECIEVED it in the mail. ( also important for later) It was annoying but we said "ok" and left. We waited, and waited, and waited..... and still waited for 45 days, and still no letter. We had called the store several times and no one would answer. Leave voicmails, and no one would call us back. We eventually went into the store to ask what happened and why we hadn't received or refund, and the same lady helped me. With a fake "oops" look on her face she said that she must have submitted it but nothing went through ‍. "My mistake" is what I got in response. She said she would email corporate and hopefully I will receive it in 5-7 days. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable, but from the people that helped us, it ruined the store for me and once I get the refund that is over 45 days past due, I don't plan on going back. read more
