They (Ashley Furniture) got me set up with Progressive Leasing and I changed my purchase once out the door, since then, those two companies can not get it figured it out or straightened out and the leasing company is charging me for something I never received. Not only that, part of my purchase has never been delivered. They keep saying next week, next week. I am so frustrated with the whole situation I am returning it all to Progressive Leasing who can't pick it up until everything is here. 8 weeks to deliver everything (but you can't cancel anything). My fiancé and I went into the store last Tuesday on 5/15. We basically replaced our entire house with furniture and ordered every piece in each set we bought. The sales guy Kirby was fabulous and I would highly recommend him. He even sent us a card afterwards. However, we were told that our furniture was going to be delivered on May 23. We spent last night having a donation company come and pick up all of our furniture to make room for our new stuff only to get a call today from the store to tell me that it won't be delivered until next Thursday. I have out of town guest arriving Friday that I now have to put up in a hotel because I don't have any furniture. I called and spoke to the store manager who tried to convince me that it was just a recommend delivery date and they don't have all the pieces in the store. So I asked them to deliver what they have and I was told it's not their policy to do multi deliveries when all the stuff doesn't arrive. I then asked to cancel my order and was informed that it would be a 30% restocking fee. Ummm....... Wait so I have to pay 30% restocking on furniture you just admitted was not in your store? I wasn't offered any compensation all I got was a big fat "your screwed" for spending so much money at our store. This store has a few good employees but has serious management issues. I purchased 5 rooms worth of furniture from them with a promise that my furniture would be delivered at a certain date. A few days later I learned that my sales associate, who we really liked, had been terminated. My guess it was because she either over stepped her boundaries as far as discount or they learned that what she promised us they would be unable to live up to. The communication after we paid for our stuff was terrible. They lied to us on multiple occasions about the status of our order and missed several delivery deadlines. Multiple items were delivered broken, and they refused to replace with new furniture. They forced us to keep repaired, or as I call it refurbished furniture. When I asked to speak with management on multiple occasions, I was promised phone calls that nobody every made. I spent tens of thousands of dollars and had numerous issues and not one time would a manager return my call. This poor receptionist Jordan was forced to deliver bad news after bad news with no authority to make decisions to try to make us happy. They did offer some minor concessions on future purchases but compared to the stress and anguish we had to go through it was not enough. We purchased our furniture in late August and as of this date on October 26 we still do not have it all delivered.. be aware anyone who decides to do business here. Expect your overpriced junk furniture to arrive damaged and or late, or possibly not at all. And if you do have a similar problem as me, expect the manager to hide behind or under his or her desk while some other poor soul tries to keep you from losing your sanity. read more

Worst company ever. They don't stand behind their customers or their products. You give them money and they give you junk and don't care that's it's all banged and dented. We bought a table from them and the legs didn't fit. So instead of giving us a new table, they grounded the legs to fit, and it was returned with big marks and gauges. What a joke. Even their own salesman told us the table was made incorrect and that is why the legs didn't fit. He measured the floor room model and then measured ours and it was a quarter of an inch off where the legs go. But Ashley did not care. I will never go to that store again and will always bash them to friends and family. If you want junk go to good will. At least you pay a small price and not thousands. read more

The worst service and quality I have ever received. I ordered a table from here over 6 months ago, and guess what...still waiting! We picked up the table about a month after we bought it, only to bring it home and open it to find there was damage everywhere. Cracked wood in several places, pealing paint, wobbly legs, how could you package such a shitty piece of furniture? Nonetheless, we brought it back to be replaced. After another 3 months of waiting, and being trivialized by employees and managers, we came back to pick up our table and it was still the same damaged piece of shit that we dropped off 3 months ago!!! The only difference is, they painted over the cracked wood, in hopes that we wouldn't notice that they did not actually fix the table at all. When I asked for a refund they pretty much treated us as if we were moronic for even asking. Now, 6 months later, my $400 table is still not here. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. I called the store, only to be told NO exchanges, NO returns. Service department ordered a new top. It has now been three weeks with a broken table in my living room and still no top. Once the top arrives, I need to load the table myself, return to the store. They will haul my table to Fort Wayne for repairs. Return to Mishawaka. Then I have to go and pick up myself. If I could give 0 I would. I will never do business at Ashley furniture again. Not only did my order come incorrect and at an over anticipated delivery date, but they did nothing to correct it. I had to wait beyond my predicted delivery date even thought I paid in full for my order. Once they get your money they are done with you. No returns even when you have nothing to return to the store. Never again will I throw my money away now I am stuck with the wrong product due to the manager not knowing how to help me. I even spoke with corporate about my previous issues and they were once again incompetent. The staff is rude and will not give you a direct answer they just send you to someone else so they don't have to deal with you in hopes you will just go away. I ordered living room furniture. The sales person was computer illiterate. I was promised the furniture to be delivered 3 weeks after the sale. I reluctantly agreed; my current sofa was broken. It has now been 4 weeks since the sale. When I called to inquire about delivery, I was told that one of the pieces I ordered was broken on delivery to them- twice. They never bothered to let me know the furniture would be delayed. The piece is currently scheduled to be delivered to them next week. I was told that they would schedule the delivery to me when they received the piece next week. When I asked to have the furniture delivered that they had, she told me the next available delivery date was late next week, even after I let her know that My current sofa was broken. How much longer would it have been if they waited till next week to schedule delivery? That takes me to 6 weeks from sale to delivery. I never would have purchased from them if I knew they would not deliver when promised. Overall, my experience with Ashley was very poor customer service. My husband and I were in need of a dining room table. We saw signs that Ashley Furniture was having a sale so we decided to take a look. Our salesman Paul was very nice and helpful in finding us a table. We got a very good deal on the set due to remodeling at the store. We decided to pickup the table once it arrived from the distribution center to save on shipping costs. It took two weeks to get the table to the store. At pickup we inspected the flat surface of the table. After getting home and putting it together all of the corners were completely chopped up beyond repair. It looked as though a dog had chewed on them. The bottom of the legs of the table also looked as though this table was returned before. We called the store and they said we had to bring the whole thing back. Now we had to take apart the whole table again and drive across town back to the store. When we got there we were informed that there was no manager on duty to do anything about our problem and they would give us a call the next day. We received no call, so I personally called and talked to a manager. She was extremely rude and told me it was our fault we didn't thoroughly inspect the table before taking it home. She also said we were going to have to wait until the table got retuned to their service center and then got shipped back to the store before we could do anything. She refused to give us a refund for the table after Soo much time, gas, and energy was spent on this broken table they tried giving us. I'm beyond frustrated with this company and how this matter is being handled. I would not recommend this furniture store to anyone!! It's a rip off and I feel as though we have been scammed. They were incorrect on the arrival time for orders, are irresponsible for their sales staff, to which we witnessed a very disturbing and total melt down by one male employee. We found a great couch and love seat and the lady there was very pleasant and helpful. We placed the order on 5/3 and were told it would take up to 4 weeks before the order was ready for delivery, but "it rarely takes longer than a couple weeks." After waiting for nine weeks they informed us the items had been discontinued. The couch and love seat on the show floor were still available but weren't exactly what we had ordered. They were still the only couches they had that we really wanted. The manager in training was very willing to compensate us with a piece of artwork and coffee table / end table set. We were quite dissatisfied at how long we had to wait but the staff there was helpful and willing to make it right. read more

We went to Ashley furniture Saturday evening. We walked in and all the salespeople are standing there talking to each other. One sales person was helping another family. Not one person said anything to us. We walked around for 30 minutes, not one person said anything to us yet they all stared at us. We walked past the area where all the sales people where standing one sales woman actually pushed us out of the way to get by us and yet still said nothing. Another sales man was on the computer and as we walked by he's personal cell phone rang and he walked the other way to answer it. I would never shop here it my life depended on it. My experience in the store was ok. Then I bought my furniture. After 2 months of having my couch the cushions have started to shred. The material is not very good. Totally disappointed in the quality. I've had to contact customer service MANY TIMES to get new cushions. No furniture should fall apart after just 2 months. Follow up - finally received a call back from manager who was very polite, I apologized for getting increasingly frantic and explained why. I can tell they are not thrilled with my request and pleas, I told him that I don't intend to sound like a Bit&$, but I had no choice but to request this. I will keep praying that we will be able to handle this so that my fiancee can get to the other end of the country fast. They keep moving up the date for him to be there and I am frantic to protect this job. Michigan has high unemployment, it's getting higher, and they cover it up by cutting everyone's unemployment benefits so that they are no longer in the count of unemployed! When you have a job, you do what you must to keep it, even move with less than 2 weeks notice! Will update when this is all over. And FYI - YES I will be getting my furniture as soon as we resettle. This was to be my first new furniture in almost 24 years and I was so excited to be on the way to having it. I fell in love with the gray sofa set and a lot more pieces. If Ashley helps me - I will be the devoted customer that I tend to be, and I will be furniture shopping for our new home when we settle. read more

Do not buy at this store! I bought all the furniture for my room and bedroom there. To begin with, during the delivery the delivery men did not take off their shoes and they went up the stairs to the rooms with the dirty boots, dirtying all my carpet. After a few days when I went to clean the nightstands I noticed the last drawers of the two furniture were broken! I got in touch with the store and they told me that the factory would send me two new drawers in a few weeks. More than a month later and after complaining about the delay, the drawers arrived but without the accessories to be able to do the installation! And finally, when we took the drawer out of place, we noticed that one of the nightstands had his base completely broken! Now I have a piece of furniture without the last drawer, another broken and without the last drawer, and the store does not want to give me a new piece of furniture and is creating obstacles! Absurd! I buy a new furniture, not paid cheap, they give me it broken and now they do not solve this question! Very angry and disappointed. I do not recommend! read more

The worst customer service. Our purchasing experience was fine. They talked about how great the warranty and customer service would be if we had any issues. Three months after the purchase of a $2k plus sectional, the middle part caved in completely. Customer service was terrible. Had to call, leave a message and wait for a response. Several hours later they call back asking for pictures to prove the issue. I then email pictures and wait several more hours. I finally get a call back, debating and questioning my claim. They tell me the only time they can repair is Wednesday afternoons. I reply that we both work and Wednesday's are no good. I offer Monday's or any other day. Of course, they cannot help. I talk to a supervisor who says they are busy and only Wednesdays work for them. Not to mention there is a $79 trip charge to come out. None of this was mentioned, but in sure is in the fine print. Since when is the customer under attack??? I am a south bend resident in a huge local market which is less than an hour and fifteen minutes from the repair facility. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Go to Art Van or Sofa Mart....get the service you deserve. We've gotten our furniture from sofa mart for years and never had an issue- great service, great quality. I decided I wanted a certain couch and Ashley furniture was the place that had it. We ordered it on 5/30 and were told by our salesman that it would be 1 week. We said we wouldn't need it for 2 weeks. We got rid of our old furniture in preparation for our new a few days beforehand. On 6/15 I called to make sure it was in and was told that it would not be in til the end of the month. I spoke to a manager who told me it would be in the beginning of the week of 6/22. I called on 6/22 and I was told it would be in on 6/24. I called later on 6/23 and was told that it was now 6/25. So I'm sitting on an air mattress in my empty living room because I was also told it was not possible to cancel my order. So basically once they make the sale you're screwed. I'm still trying to figure out a way to cancel my order so that I can buy from someone who cares about the customer. read more

Retailer charged 30% restocking fees under hideous policy not posted on visible place. It was listed on the back of paper on financing document. ORDER OR SALE NUMBER 3354680 ORDER PLACED 11/20/16 ORDER EXCHANGED PLACED 12/03/16 ORDER DELIVERED 12/29/16 I placed my order on Nov 20 th 2016 and I called them on Nov 27th to see if I can get different bedroom set what I found online on their website. First they said that all sale are final and they do not do exchange and later they said I can order different one but I had to pay 30% restocking fees. Restocking fees usually associated with something if consumer wanted to return something after possession. In my case my order was generated in computer but not even processed or ready. When I asked them why they are charging me restocking fees they said because it's already ready and they have to send my order back to warehouse which is completely lie. I just wanted that Ashley corporate should take action and talk to the owner of that retailer and had refund my money 643.49+47.20 (store credit) $ now. My order was ready after almost 5 weeks of generating the order. Firstly, I requested just to exchange it even but now I already re order different bedroom set because I had no furniture. Christmas was at the corner. I had no choice to go ahead and pay their restocking fees. They did not refund my difference back to my loan account. They said they can only give store credit. I do not want to buy anything from there. They are ruining the reputation of Ashley corporate and Ashley should step up to satisfy their customers. I did enter that store because of Ashley name on the store. I am very disappointed and upset now. I found later that store is owned by independent owner and he has his own policy for return and exchange. Ashley corporate must have some contract before using their name and they should mention them that customer satisfaction should be priority at any cost. It's jot just 10 or 20 bugs it's almost 700 dollars they deducted by using the hideous policy of Restocking fees. They should post this policy on their entrance NO RETURN ALL SALES ARE FINAL OR 30 % RESTOCKING FEES WOULD BE CHARGED FOR EXCHANGE. They should not list that policy at the back of papers and have customers initials at it after spending 5 hours to choose their furniture. This cancellation policy they listed last thing in the finance paper. Store manager David were there and he did not even mention a word that all sales are final. Read the policy carefully. I did initials thought initialing loan paper. It's totally unfair and unethical. Ashley corporate should fine these kind of independent owners who are ripping of customers on behalf of their corporate name. I am waiting for my restocking fees refunded back to loan account. I already waited more than two months as you guys advised and no follow up at all. Seems like owner of the store don't care of customers satisfaction at all. When I spoke to their corporate office, staff told me that owner would call me back but owner did not care and did not give call back. My family and I at first tried four other furniture stores in Mishawaka looking for particular furniture for three of the rooms in our house. Knowing that this was going to be a huge investment, we were very careful to make sure that all of our needs were going to be met. After being ignored at one store, harassed at another, and extremely disappointed with the customer service at the remaining two, each visit ended with us leaving disappointed, frustrated and empty handed. We had avoided Ashley Furniture at first because we were worried about the prices, but with nothing to lose and three rooms to furnish, we entered with caution. To our surprise we were immediately greeted and then left to browse (without being followed/stalked) we found some beautiful pieces that we were interested in and ended up having questions. We worked with Jeanne who had answers to all of our questions/concerns and she did everything she could to make sure she was offering suggestions that accommodated our budget. She was super friendly and never dismissed our needs to benefit her sale. We then needed to shop for mattresses and that is where we met Wes. He was very knowledgeable about every single mattress they had (trust me when I tell you my husband had to try every single one). He listened to our wants/needs and again didn't try to push anything for his benefit. He gave us the pros and cons to the mattresses we had it narrowed down to and then stepped away to let us discuss and decide. I myself hate making big purchases, and get extremely irritated when I feel pressured so this was a breath of fresh air for me. We found EVERYTHING we wanted and with the sales they had going on we were very happy with the prices we paid. While finalizing the paperwork we got to meet the wizard behind curtain (Sales Manager) Vicki who was amazing! She was very appreciative of our business and made sure that Jeanne and Wes went over all of our warranty, care, and delivery information making sure we left with no unanswered questions and plenty of confidence in our purchase. Ashley furniture mishawaka are scheming liars. My wife and I purchased over $6,000 of home furnishings from this store. The salesman hand wrote a list of each item we were purchasing with a total price on the bottom, the manager approved the sale. When we received the delivery we did not receive one of the items. I contacted the store and spoke with the salesman and manager whom both agreed to their mistake, however refuse to correct the mistake and provide us with all furnishings agreed upon. The manager told me that he can sell the coffee table to us for an additional $250, which of course is unacceptable as this item was one of the items agreed upon in the package. I have the hand written list of home furnishings from the salesperson as well as the conversation I had with the manager recorded (in which he clearly agrees that it was their mistake), they still refuse to provide the coffee table as agreed upon. read more
