I should have checked the reviews before my wife and I came here. Or listened to my parents, who with a 1000-year stare and deadened hollow voices said, "Don't go to Ashley." But hey, 60% off store wide! It's clear corporate policy is dictating customer relations because the sales tactics of the teams were so aggressive and unpleasant. No, I won't name and shame because the only guilty party is the team of corporate suits who force these poor associates to push overpriced items on customers. No less than 3 different associates tried to upsell my wife and I on a 6000 dollar mattress - despite us clearly stating over and over what we were looking for and we weren't interested. I guess I now know how chum feels when dumped into shark infested water. Anyway, we made our selection. But lo and behold, we found the bedroom set we wanted on Ashley's own website for half the price, meaning they would have ripped us off if we hadn't looked and asked for a price match. After all was said and done, we did get the set we were looking for, but they managed to misspell my wife's name, take nearly an hour to process the purchase, and then gave the wrong parts to the delivery team when the order arrived. So, we can't even use the bed we paid for and have had to arrange to stay elsewhere. To add more fun to this orgy of incompetence, the customer care team we called didn't even get the part on the delivery truck for today after promising next day delivery. My sense when I called this morning is there were no notes about our call for the next rep to help. Since deliveries are already out, I get to make an 80 mile round trip drive to their warehouse to pick up the part to use the bed we bought. Adding one star for Tina, the CSR on the line who was sympathetic and has tried to help us. But the quickest solution is still a 2+ hour trip for me. Honestly, we should have just gotten IKEA. Then at least I could get some meatballs to make up for this rotten experience. read more

Hello everyone one- please don't waste your time at Ashley stores. There customer services are full of unprofessional people. My wife and I bought our first home in the month of January of 2020, so we went to ashley to purchase all of our house furnitures. But the bed room base has damages on it upon deliveries, and we were told to contact customer service to have it replaced. Since the month of February ashley have been delivering the same damage footbored over and over to us. We spent over 6000 dollars over for this sets. We never received any phone call from Ashley supervisors or anyone. We have been dealing with there customer service since February now we are in October still the same problem. Whenever we go by the ashley store in manassas they will say you need to call our customer service number for any items delivered. Ashley furniture only care about money not there customers. once they deliver your items they do not care about what you have to say. Below are the pictures of the damages. I bought a $3k light fixture from this store off the showroom floor. It was marked almost $4k so I felt so thrilled when they sold it to me for $3! I was a sucker. They are used car salesmen. When I went to get chandelier ready for install, I took the old bulbs out to put in new LED. Many of the light bulbs were so old that they had rust and snapped off in sockets. I had to get pliers to dig some of them out. When electrician finally finished hanging it, we flipped on the power and 8 out of the 20 bulbs Do NOT work. In one of the crystal spheres, only one of the bulbs actually lights up. I called Customer Service a week back and spoke to a very sympathetic gal who said I cannot do a return and probably won't get any money back. I spent $400 having electrician hang this. I still like it BUT but it is not worth $3k. They knew it was a really older piece. Who knows how many years it sat in the showroom. I do feel I should be given some money back. Avoid at all costs. I will never ever shop at Ashley anymore. I was supposed to receive a sectional sofa by March 2021. But they kept delaying the delivery. Once they said the delivery is expected for the end of June 2021 I went to the store to cancel. When I requested to cancel the lady was combative and said we can't refund your order only store credit. I then asked for her manager and she said I am the manager. She was not the manager. When the general manager showed up and said he's the manager I was like what I thought you were the manager. She said oh I am the office manager. Make a long story short the sectional hasn't even been made at the manufacturer and who knows how much longer it will take. I asked the salesman about cancellations if the order takes too long and he said no problem we will refund you. Now they are saying no refund only store credit. Buyer beware. The general manager said that if the order isn't delivered within a week he will give a refund. A week has past and no refund. I have filed a dispute with my credit card for a full refund. Buyers beware they don't tell you that if you cancel because they take for ever and you could wait months or even a year that you only get store credit. read more

Purchased a table and chose to pick it up since it's a $100 charge to deliver a $400 table. As soon as the table was put together I identified the damage on the corner. Immediately we called the customer service number to see about a replacement table and they said they were initiating a claim?! After multiple calls to follow up on the 'claim', we were told "Thank you for providing the photos, after careful review, unfortunately, the concerns cannot be correlated back to a manufacturer defect." Our experience at Ashley Home Store was so bad, on SO many levels. It's worthy of a Saturday Night Live skit. NEVER, never go there! We found an armchair we wanted. The salesperson rang us up and that's when the trouble started. Without telling us, he slipped an extra $100 delivery charge on the bill. Fortunately, we're not morons, so we caught it before he ran our credit card. He seemed put out and offended that we didn't want to pay $100 more than he quoted us, but instead just wanted to have the chair shipped to the store for us to pick up. We then had to go through about 10 minutes of rigamarole with a manager to get the unwanted $100 taken off the invoice. The salesperson told us they'd have the chair ready for pickup by the following Saturday. You guessed it--Saturday came, and no chair. I called their main customer service line and they told me an order had never come in from that store for the chair--but that anyway, the stores NEVER got deliveries on Saturdays, but only every other Wednesday. Okay. They said the chair would be in on the following Wednesday delivery. So I called the store the following Wednesday, expecting my chair, and sure enough, no chair! They "went to go check in the back" and somehow, strangely, it had never come in from the warehouse, they said. Hmmmm. "But it will definitely be here by May 31!" the receptionist assured me. So, we wait until the NEXT "every other Wednesday" delivery day. Two weeks have gone by--not a big deal, IF they had been honest in the first place about delivery times. The second possible Wednesday for delivery came. I called the store: is our chair ready? The salesperson said, "Oh, I'm sorry, our warehouse won't deliver anything over 50 lbs to the store." (umm, a FURNITURE store warehouse will not deliver FURNITURE to their own store...?) And anyway, nobody I had previously talked to (in the store OR in the customer service center) knew this policy?? It was time to ask for a refund--we knew by this time that any hopes of actually getting the chair we had paid for were to be dashed. But guess what. The customer service manager, Olivia Jenkins, told me that THE STORE IS NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE REFUNDS--even though we never received the merchandise, and there was no hope of ever getting it! What?!?!? She said it's their policy that they "have to apply to the home office to issue a refund," and that it can take 5-7 business days. (Well, it sure didn't take them 5-7 business days to run my credit card and take my money.) Olivia did send me screenshots of the forms she filled out to process my refund. She said, "They'll contact you when it has been processed." I don't think so. I guess I'm calling the Ashley Home Store refund office every day until they return my money. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure my refund will end up in the same place as the chair I bought: lost in the bowels of Ashley Home Store's abysmal customer service. read more

From the moment I walked into this Ashley store the greeting and the customer service was top notch. I give them an A+ for the customer service and making my whole experience pleasurable. I purchased a sleigh bed, mattress and dresser at the store. Without realizing I ,also, got a foundation in the purchase that turned out I did not need. I was at work when it was delivered and the delivery guys told my husband that they did not think we needed the foundation. My husband not aware signed and kept the foundation bed. Needless to say I could not get a credit for the foundation and tried calling and talking to customer service in Fredericksburg, VA. I have been back and forth on this thing for a couple weeks now and still no resolution. I was told to go to the store and try to find something of equal value instead of a credit to my account. I was not able and was told I could go online and pick something and call the store back to have them purchase it and send to store. Well, it turns out that anything on line that is "online only" or "outlet" can not be picked and sent to the store. Moral to this story : be very careful before you leave the store that you do not get additional items that you do not need and don't accept anything when delivered before checking it out carefully. I now have a full size foundation that I do not need and will have to try to get rid of online at half the price. read more
