I had a terrible experience with my purchase from this location. First the sofa set that I picked out isn't the set that was delivered. Second they delivered half of my purchase and almost one month later they delivered the other half. Third the chair that came with the sofa set was damage so I didn't expect it...when they delivered the rest of my furniture they brought the same chair back to my apartment and told me that if I excepted it they would have someone come out and service the chair and that never happened. They shipped to me a leather cover to place over the damaged area but no one ever came out to service the chair. read more

We purchased a couch from Ashley HomeStore. When it arrived, I could tell it was not the same quality as the one in the store. Within one month I requested to have the couch returned after seeing how flimsy it was and the overall poor quality of its construction. Ashley advised that their policy is non-refundable, and recently one of the legs collapsed with the cheap plywood cracking underneath (photo below). They'll take your $ but YOU WON'T your furniture! We're on week 13 waiting for our furniture! As it turns out COVID IS A GREAT EXCUSE TO NEVER DELIVER WHAT YOU PURCHASED! We bought our furniture 11/19/2020 and the sales person said there are delays to get any furniture. We are reasonable people and we accepted the fact that it might take 6 weeks to receive our furniture. They said there COULD BE up to a 6 week delay... but they said the furniture would be available in 3 weeks. So at the 3 week mark I called customer care. They said there's be Few weeks delay on the bedroom dressers. So I called back in 2 weeks. 3 pieces were ready to deliver late December. So the the 6th week and we received 3 pieces out of the 5. We are still waiting on a dresser and a tv stand. They said 3 more weeks... So I waited, January 9...I called again, customer care said Jan 25 our furniture would be available. I called for 2 days and wasn't able to speak to someone but on the 28th I got ahold of someone! I called customer care on Thursday( 01/28/2021) and they said " we have your furniture in stock and we can deliver it on Saturday. I jumped on that opportunity! The customer care rep said we'd get a call on Friday confirming delivery. Friday came and went, no call! When the delivery surprised us with an early morning delivery (8:30 am), we didn't care to much because we had our furniture... as it turns out, it was the wrong color AND we were still missing another piece of furniture ( the tv stand). Still no furniture for us! The delivery team said we'd get a call before they left our driveway from the customer care to reschedule our furniture deliver... we DIDN'T receive a call! I called customer on Monday (01/31/2021 9:20 am!) to check on our furniture and they told me it will be another 3 week wait!!! I absolutely lost it and the customer care team said to call the store. Why would I do that? They're going to have me call customer care!!! On a happy note, I did find out that customer care had the wrong number for me!!! How fantastic is this information! We are now promised the hypothetical delivery of our 2 pieces of furniture after February 18, 2021. That will be 14 weeks AFTER purchase! So where does this furniture magically disappear too? How can you take people's money for furniture that doesn't even exist? These are questions that I still don't have answers to! The mystery continues folks! After recently purchasing a house I made several trips to Ashley HomeStore during a two month period to look at different items. I was always greeted and helped by a sales associate upon entering. On my fourth trip there I was ready to purchase a TV stand which I had my eye on. It was on "managers special". Upon beginning my order the sales associate discovered the item displayed the wrong price tag. It has been this way for over a month, I had taken a photo of it on my first trip. The manager would not admit someone made a mistake and sell me the tv stand for the displayed price. Instead he blamed it on the kids in the store, began to speak to me in a tone which was very unprofessional. After a few minutes of being treated like this I left. I ordered a sectional sofa from this store in June 2021 to utilize a sale going on at that time and requested delivery end of November 2021 as our new home was under construction and they noted my request. Our home construction was delayed so we requested a postponement of delivery to January 2022 and called recently and requested a date of January 25,2022 which was noted. I received a call last week to inform my sofa set was on the truck and my delivery was confirmed for 1/25/22, Today January 22,2022 i get a call from their Fredericksburg office saying part of the sofa eas not available for delivery and delivery would probably be mid february 2022. At no time we were called or informed that part of the sofa was not available, We ordered and paid for it in June 2021 well in advance. This is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. So of course I go into the store and complain and they tell me they will contact me with a resolution for my issues and that we should have never had to wait this long and Stacy (Customer Service Manager) acknowledged the poor customer service we have received and said she was going to make it right. So my wife and I waited and waited for her to contact us and of course we should have known, THEY DON'T EVER LIKE TO REACH OUT! They sit there and hope that you forget and let it go! They delivered the wrong furniture twice. It was such a hassle that I just kept one of the wrong pieces. Would never shop here again.

After dealing with not getting the couch they said they could get us, we ordered 2 end tables. Fast forward, they're past due when I finally get a call saying they're ready for pickup at the warehouse. Drive over an hour to find out that 1) they only had one at the warehouse, not both. And 2) the other one was being sent from the store to the warehouse in an effort to disguise the fact that they were giving me the used and abused floor model. The lady at the warehouse was very helpful in pointing out what they were trying to get over on me. So now I'm waiting for 2 new units (the first one was damaged, it happens, no big deal) but won't get them until possibly June. Warehouse was very helpful though in fixing this and getting me free delivery for my troubles. She reported what they were doing to her supervisor and theirs so hopefully it gets fixed, but looking at these other reviews I don't have much faith. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. My boyfriend and I found a couch we loved, paid full price, and set up a delivery date for about a month later at our new apartment. The delivery date was July 14th and we had paperwork confirming this. My boyfriend took off work to be home. They never showed. He called and they said they were missing a part, would get it the next day, and would call. They never called. This time I called the delivery center and was told that the part wasn't scheduled to arrive until July 19th. I told them this was unacceptable as we had this delivery scheduled over a month ago. I tried another avenue by calling the store itself. EVEN WORSE. The person I talked to on the phone gave me attitude and told me that the salespeople don't even have the ability to schedule deliveries. I told her I had signed paperwork saying otherwise. At this point I had enough of their unprofessionalism and said I wanted a full refund. The lady told me that I would be charged a 30% re-stocking fee. (FOR WHAT? They don't even have all the parts!). I asked to talk to a manager and was told the manager was busy and would call me back. She also sassily told me that the manager would tell me exactly what she did. She hasn't called. It's been 3 days. I left a message for the delivery manager, store manager, and wrote a complaint online to the corporate office. No one has responded. One star is being generous. I was very disappointed in their sales approach--it's worse than having to negotiate with a used car salesman. Price tags have the price with a red slash through it, but the "actual price" is dependent upon how well you can negotiate and how long you are willing to arm wrestle with the salesperson (who then says they have to talk with their manager). Poor customer service, prices inflation, incorrect delivery, defective product! This furniture purchase experience was disappointing each step of the process. 1- SLOW customer service. My husband and I were ignored for at least 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by a salesperson. And by acknowledged- I mean that he asked if we were helped but then did not assist us until after we took the initiative to approach him again quite a while later. 2- PRICE INFLATION- We knew exactly what we wanted from the catalog and knew what the list price was from their own Ashley website and expected to be charged that amount-- instead "Prince William" quotes us prices at least 100-150$ above the official Ashley list price for each for couch and loveseat! My husband had to pull up their own website to have him **pricematch their price!** Goodness! I guess they make up for poor customer service by upcharging. They would have made an extra 200-300$ plus on us had we not been informed by their own website. 3- Terrible delivery service and argumentative manager---- they ended up delivering our loveseat and couch separately since the couch "did not meet their standards" (see below) which was fine w me - except they delivered the wrong loveseat!! It was neither the correct style or color- but the delivery guy was baffled why I would claim it was the wrong couch and told me I had to call the store to explain the situation--- but when I did the store manager initially tried to tell me I had to bring in the couch myself to prove it--- absolutely outrageous! There was no way I was signing for the wrong loveseat! Finally a few neurons fired in his brain and he understood when I read him the sku number off the the wrong item 4- Poor quality item-- when the couch was delivered I suspected it was likely the one that didn't pass quality control previously. Unfortunately I didn't notice the defects on the backside until later so I'm stuck with it. Finding the furniture and paying for it was not a problem, but the delivery process was horrible. We were scheduled for a Saturday delivery and even got a confirmation call the day before. They never showed up. After calling their office, apparently they had our furniture in the warehouse, but it was never scheduled. Why did we get a confirmation phone call then?! Worst furniture buying experience ever! We will never shop there again! Beware! We attempted to resolve the issues with Customer service and the Store Manager to no avail. They are not concerned about happy customers, they just want your money. Mr. Alizaza (manager at Manassas store) contacted me. He let us know that he wants to ensure that we are happy customers. He then proceeded to explain that he was not going to do anything for us. He said that the free delivery coupon (despite what the store supervisor Tiffany had said) would be honored but we did not purchase enough furniture. He said that the minimum purchase is $1699 and we purchased about $950 (even though the coupon does not say what the minimum is). He said the whole point of the coupon is just to get us into the store. On the price match for the tv armour for which we were charged $637.49 versus the $598 on the Ashley website, he said that if he purchased online and added that item plus the 2 stools and chair that we purchased, the delivery charge would be $199.99 versus the $139.99 that we were charged. We went on to explain ad naseum the "white glove" service, background checks, fix any damage, etc. I don't care. I just want the furniture delivered to the house. Am I getting charged extra just to have my furniture carried up the stairs? We can do that ourselves. Let me put this in perspective. My husband, son, and I went to a new restaurant about 2 weeks ago. They messed up my husband's order. The manager came over and apologized, they fixed the order, gave us a free dessert, and then gave us a $25 gift card and told us how much they valued our business and hoped that we would give them another try. Our total bill was about $80. Yet, as previous customers to Ashley who just spent $950 on furniture (and planning on spending more on a bed, nightstand, and sofa recliner as we just moved into a new home), we are given lip service and the run around (meaning I talked to or emailed no less than 5 people to get resolution without avail). Thank you, Ashley for this hard lesson in customer service. We are so glad that we figured this out before we purchased more furniture from Ashley. You have been very successful in creating an unhappy customer who regrets purchasing furniture from Ashley. Don't buy any furniture from Ashley. Very poor quality. We bought sofa, love seat, end table, and coffee table. I have never seen such poor workmanship before. It is not worth saving a few dollars. The end table are wobbly, rickety, and cheap looking. The sofa is lumpy and you can hear crackling under the fabric as if there is plastic under the fabric. Wired!! Only had the sofa a few weeks before the cushions started sagging and loosing box shape. I was told that I would get all my furniture in a month at the latest. They keep rescheduling it saying the furniture failed their quality check. I called customer service at least 10 times and they have complete miscommunication with their different teams. The delivery team has no access to what the order is, the store doesn't know whats been delivered, the dispatching team only cares about their stuff. Its just absolutely ridiculous. I have never had this much hassle with anything that Ive ordered from anywhere. I was almost treated like I got all these furnitures for free. They never once called me to update me on anything, cancelled deliveries last minute, pushed back excepted date of delivery at least 5 times. I am almost 5 months in from the date I ordered which I was promised in a month and still haven't been delivered everything. I purchased a sofa from the store in Falls church, VA. It was making squeaking noise when you sit Or raise up from it Like an old furniture From day 1. A have sent out two technicians to investigate. In both the cases, the tecnichians confirmed the issue to my face and one even recommended it be replaced. He did not even pull a tool out to check. He said it would take hours and that he simply does not have the time. Ashley said in the first both case that I refused the work to get it fixed According to the technician. The other communicated that he did not identify any problems or hear any noises. So convenient that A is using third party to conduct this business so there is no accountability. At first, this had been a pleasant experience. The salesman in the store was helpful, not pushy, and understanding. My fiance and I left the store for a couple days and then went back to purchase the sectional after consideration and checking other places for something similar that we liked. Ashley Furniture had a great selection, and we couldn't find what we wanted for the price anywhere else. We went back and purchased the item and paid the fee to have the item delivered. Here is where things went awry. The salesman stated that we would have a call by 8/1 to schedule our delivery date. This was a little odd as it didn't make a lot of sense as to why it couldn't be scheduled in store, but we shook it off. Then, after I made the purchase and was shaking hands with the salesman, he mentioned that the sale was final. That seems a little shady to me considering that it wasn't stated up front. He conveniently waited until after I had my receipt in hand to state that I would not be able to return my item. This was very concerning, and incredibly irritating, but I was convinced after shopping around that this was the item I wanted, so I shook that off too. It is now over two weeks later after my purchase, and I still have not received a call from the delivery scheduling team, nor do I have my item. This is incredibly frustrating, and unacceptable. My fiance called into the store on Friday, 8/3, asking what was going on and if we could get the delivery scheduled. The store told us that they could not schedule this, and that they would have someone call us Monday, 8/6. It is now Wednesday, 8/8, going into Thursday, and still no call. My fiance called in again earlier today and they said they would have someone call us Thursday, 8/9, to schedule a delivery for Friday, 8/10. That puts the potential delivery date (as I still have no confirmation on if it is actually being delivered) two and a half weeks past the purchase date. Needless to say, this is unacceptable. We have waited patiently, called in with our concerns, and still nothing has come of this. I feel like if you pay an extra $130 to have something delivered to you that it should have been taken care of by now. A delivery fee of this price is not a small sum, but you are paying for convenience. At this point, convenience would have been picking up the item and bringing it home myself. After I had purchased the item, my friends and family asked me where I got the sectional that I was so happy to have bought. When I told them who I purchased from, they were concerned. I have had multiple friends and family tell me they have had poor experiences when buying and working out delivery from Ashley Furniture. Every time someone mentioned this to me, I figured that they might have been exaggerating. Unfortunately, they were not. I am very unhappy with my overall experience. When you go to the "outlet" center they treat you as if you have less money and no affordability. When we retuned the regular sales floor we were ignored for nearly 15min. The salesman told me the couch I selected was in stock and would arrive sooner than expected, despite the COVID shipping delays. That is the only reason I bought the couch in the first place. Fast forward to 4 weeks later, I called customer "care" to check the status of the order. At that time, I was informed that part of the couch would not arrive until February 2021. The rep told me I could either pick a new couch or get a full refund because Ashley Furniture did not keep up their end of the deal. After reviewing other couch options, I decided to ask for a full refund as I did not like any other couches. I called customer care again and i was told I need to speak to the store manager before they could give me a refund. The store manager (who was actually very professional and respectful) said he would authorize the full refund and he apologized for the inconvenience. A couple days later I received a call from the refund department advising me they would give me the refund but charge me a percentage because I wanted to cancel the order. I explained the situation and advised the woman I would not be paying the aforementioned percentage. As mentioned in a previous review, the lady sounded like a robot and kept repeating her rehearsed lines. I eventually spoke to her a second time and told her not to cancel the order until I spoke to the store manager again because I was not going to pay the percentage as it was not my fault the salesperson provided false information regarding the couch. I went to back to the store manager only to find out the refund department completely cancelled my order but has yet to refund my money. I have called both customer care and the store to no avail. The best customer experience! I was in Manassas from Reston where I reside. I decided to stop into the show room to see a coffee table I had found online. I am more a see it to believe it type of person. I was greeted by Amy. Amy was amazing at first contact. She had a great attitude and was very eager to help me even though I was not in mind to "purchase" something. We all know how different customers get treated when they are "looking" vs "buying" Amy did not pressure me, she worked with me, she still had such a great attitude towards me even though I said I was going to come back. My experience with Amy was so awesome, I left the store got my truck and was right back in the store to purchase my Rasmin Coffee Table. Amy again was so pleasant, she was able to get me the price that worked for my budget. All around my shopping experience was amazing! From my first step into the store towards the very end. It took longer to buy a piece of furniture than it did to buy a new car. Then the manager could not tell us the color because they had two different colors on display and the did not know which color it came in. The solution was to just buy it and see what is delivered and refuse it if it is not the right color. When we finally checked out the lady in finance said it was the color we wanted and then said we could refuse it but you only get store credit. Of course when it was delivered it was not the color we wanted but since we did not see anything else in the store we liked we kept it. The delivery guys were wonderful and very understanding. They were the best part of the entire process. Just a poor excuse for a store. Pushy sales tactics, joke promise delivery, sub-par products. Just don't go.

So two years later after having a bad experience with this place, I decided to come back and just browse for a dining room table and give Ashley Furniture a second chance because they do have nice furniture. So we walk in and a saleswoman greets us and says let me know me if you have any questions... I say "ok thank you". Within two minutes she approaches us again gives her name and asked us what we are looking for and states how she doesn't like to hover and to let her know if we need anything. I tell her what I'm looking for and she says okay we have Dining room tables here and on other side.. I say "ok thank you". We continue to browse and within minutes she approaches us again (this now the 3rd time) and asks "is there a price range you are looking for... (now I'm irritated) I say we are just looking thank you. She sees my irritation and moves along. As we approach closer to the store entrance still browsing she comes close to us and starts fixing pillows on a display bed and I was wearing a "I love NY" t-shirt and she makes a comment oh you love New York.... after that comment I said to my financee lets go!!! And quickly left out. I never got a chance to just enjoy browsing and getting ideas for my new place because the saleswoman kept bothering us. If I had questions or wanted something I would've asked! At this point you lost a customer at this location and we were already hesitant coming in due to our past experiences. This isn't the first time me and my financee had to literally run/sneak out the door because the sales person was harassing us. I understand in the sales world you have to be somewhat pushy to try to make a sale but dang don't make it so obviously to a point where the customers are running out the door. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE EVER!! I HAVE MADE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS EVEN TO BBB AND STILL I HAVE NO RECEIVED ALL OF MY MERCHANDISE. HERE IS MY FIRST COMPLAINT MADE ON 7/16 I went in the Manassas Virginia store to order my furniture on June 6th. I told the sales associate that I moved on June 26th, I expressed how important it was to receive my furniture by then. I was promised that week or the following. I told them I would pick up my items myself so that I would not be charged the $199 delivery fee. You have to call them they do not call you when the furniture arrives. I called June 21st and was told I can go to Fredericksburg (the distribution center) and get two chairs from my table I ordered but that everything else had not arrived yet. I kept calling every other day to see when I can drive down there to pick up all the items, eventually I am told by July 15th it would all arrive. I called on July 10th and was told the sofa and dining room table were available but not the love seat. I went and picked up those items. Here it is July 16th and someone finally answered at the store and now I am being told there is a problem with the upholstery on the love seat and it will not be available until the end of July or first week of August. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of care from this company. Had I taken the time to read the reviews I would have never given this company a dime of my hard earned money. I went through the hassle of making the decision to pick up my own items so that I would guarantee to receive them in a timely manner only to still go through the hassle of still not having any furniture a month after I have moved in. THIS IS MY NEW ONE TODAY, STILL I HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYWHERE August 12th I was told my furniture would be delivered on August 14th. I called again on the 14th only to be told my furniture will no be delivered today to me it is only finally arriving the distribution center and that I will receive a call to schedule a delivery date. Today August 17th I call the customer service center just for her to pull up my file to tell me I may get charged twice, she said they did not mark that I picked up my table and sofa, so now they may deliver another one and charge me for it. I have no idea how these people are still in business. She then gave me a 540 customer service number to call tomorrow because she said she cannot see anything further on my account because they did not mark the furniture i received as received. Needless to say I made this purchase at this particular store on June 6th here it is August 17th and I still do not have what I purchased nor have any idea when I will receive it. read more

If I could give this store a zero star I would. Beware they are scammers!!! Do not purchase anything from Ashley's nor anywhere that offers Trivett Extended Warranty. I spent hundreds of dollars on a warranty and I put in a request to have service to my furniture and almost 2 years later after my request for service they tell me that it's not covered and I needed to put an axe to the furniture before they would do anything. They tell you at the store that certain things are covered and it's a lie. Do not go near this store they will steal your money!!!! read more

The local store Ashley HomeStore 7378 Stream Walk Ln Manassas, VA 20109 has missed 3 delivery dates and will not return my call. It has been over a month since my purchase during the big Labor Day sale that advertised next day delivery. Store states "all sales final" but the sale was incomplete since I have not received my furniture. Next is to contact my lawyer, posting social media, yelp report and BBB. read more

If I could leave a 0 rating I would. We found a 3 piece furniture set that we liked for our living room and what was promised in "3 weeks" ended up taking 3 months to deliver. The issue wasn't only the time it took from purchase to delivery but it was the horrible customer service. We were promised delivery on "day A" and when that day came around we did not hear from Ashley Furniture, instead, 2 days after a promised delivery date myself or my wife would end up having to call THEM to find out what is going on with our purchase/delivery. This went on for 3 months, we were promised a delivery date and when the furniture wouldn't deliver on that date I would have to call them to find out what was going on, Ashely Furniture never called me to give me status updates or let me know there was any type of delay. Additionally, after 6 weeks of waiting (with no updates) I wanted to cancel my order with them. While in the store all employees and Manager assured me my refund was processed (over $4K) and just needed upper management approval. However, when I called the following day for update a Customer Service person told me there were no refunds. I then go back to the store to speak to the same manager and they assure me again a refund was doable. Only to hear from customer service (again the next day) that it was not. It was obvious to me that the employees and Manager at the Ashley Furniture store simply were to scared to talk to me like a real customer and deliver bad news. They simply told me what I wanted to hear and then let a Customer Service Rep. tell me the bad news over the phone. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture store again and I advise anyone in the market for furniture to stay far far away. read more
