By far the worst experience here. Between "Mr. Sharma" and the woman here, I'm not sure which one was more outrageous. For starters, I was very specific about what I was looking for when i walked in. Mr. Sharma automatically took me to the opposite of what I wanted because it was "in my price range and more affordable." The crazy part is he assumed what my price range was and assumed I wanted a cheap mattress just from looking at me-he never bothered asking. Textbook racial profiling. I walked around on my own and they harassed me nonstop to show me "cheaper" mattresses in the back room. When I was adament that those wouldn't fit my needs I told them I'd like info on a mattress I'd found out front. Mr. Sharma told me one price and the woman immediately vetoed that price and said she'd give me a better deal if I took it right now. I told them a mattress wouldn't fit in my car and Mr. Sharma said he'd put it on my roof. I said no I'd call for my truck and Mr. Sharma got hostile about buying it now. At this point I was completely turned off and just wanted out of there. I told them if they couldn't wait for the truck then I didn't want the mattress. Mr. Sharma then told me to leave out of the back door. I begged his pardon and he said leave out of the back door. The woman then jumped in and said that since I didn't buy anything he was asking me to leave out of the back door because the owner monitors the cameras out front and would see that I didn't buy anything. I told them I would be leaving out of the door I came in and left out of the front door. I see that I'm not the only one that this happened to and I'm wondering if the news outlets need to be made aware that the employees here are racist? read more

The service was really bad. They broke the flower bed by the front door. I asked them several times to take off their shoes, they ignored me and went on the carpet with their dirty shoes. To top this off, they rushed through the whole mattress replacement and didn't put the headboard back to its place. I paid for about a 2k mattress, and for the replacement of the bad. The service is just terrible! I won't be coming back here or recommending this place to anyone. read more

We went to order a mattress in November and we asked if we could have it before Thanksgiving and we were told that it was doable. We didn't get a call to pick up the mattress on time so we decided to withdraw our order and asked for a refund in mid December. They said we would get our money back within 7-10 business days and that didn't occur so we called multiple times and even went back to the store to find out what happened and they said the same thing again. Now it's February and we still haven't gotten a refund for a mattress that we NEVER TOOK HOME. read more

At first we were very hesitant to come into this place, we definitely tried hard to skip it and drove around for a while but eventually, since we were in desperate need of a mattress, we went in. The gentleman that greeted us was friendly, stuck with us through the whole process, and helped us choose a bed even when I was nervous about the price. This place is sketchy as anything. Pushy sales person kept insisting we buy the mattress immediately but we declined and said we would like to take our time to shop around. This was on a Sunday, so a Columbus Day sale should go until Monday. We said we'd look around and let them know, but the sales person wouldn't take no for an answer. Then he manages to make a bogus phone call to his 'manager' to get us a discount, and somehow a 1600$ mattress goes down to 1000$. Even though I still said I would need to think about it, he just hung up the phone (which triggered the bogus part, who would hang up on their manager like that?). So I started to walk out and he even says do you want to put a 10% deposit down to secure the price, heck no! As I was walking out, as I have every right to, he then makes rude comments like 'where are you going to go now, walk aimlessly around and get ripped off?' That was the last straw on how this place pissed me off, but I was with my wife so I had to let it go. So please avoid this place, but if somehow you stumble into this crazy little store, avoid the chubby sales guy who looks like Dr Phil. Go somewhere else, even Sears at the mall behind this crap hole sells mattresses with no pressure. 1) pushy sales person, not very polite 2) if their prices were indeed the best, why are they afraid we aren't going to come back? read more

The selection they have is great but the so called manager John was horrible. I shopped around for the type of mattress we wanted I knew we liked the gel memory foam. I am ok with dropping a few extra dollars on quality but this sales guy was to pushy. He kept coming at us trying to give us other discounts so we buy well I told him I wanted to read some reviews before I spent 2k on a mattress, he says very smart assy that we came to him so we should already know what we want. Yes John you are right I know what I want but you will not get any of my money with that bad attitude. Should have read the yelp reviews before going to this place! Pleasant enough saleswoman (Ruby) approach us as we entered the door. Asked if we wanted to get "tested" for the ideal bed. We have not purchased a bed in over 10 years so weren't quite sure what we really wanted. I agreed to the test - my wife strolled around. As soon as the test was done, Ruby directed us to the 3 "perfect" beds (Kingsdown - consequently, the company that created the test program) that matched my test results. I mentioned I had never heard of Kingsdown. She looked like I had 2 heads - "You have never heard of Kingsdown?" uh, no, sorry, Ruby! While they were comfortable, we did try many of the other beds in the showroom. We did end up liking the Kingsdown Heather Glenn the most (in King size)...$3700. Maybe the ideal bed test was sensing the size of my wallet in my back pocket. Ruby said she could probably knock $200 off - so $3500...okay, not cheap. She says, "Well, let me speak to my manager. He may know of some other manufacturer specials that I'm not aware of...don't leave until I speak to him." Amazingly, he was able to drop the price to $2900, however, it was only for TODAY. Felt like we were haggling for cars at a used car lot. Do I get free oil changes with this bed? Mentioned to Ruby that this was the first store my wife and I had visited since deciding to buy a new mattress and due to the size of the purchase, we weren't going to make a rash decision. We wanted to look around and make sure what we dumped our $3K into was the best decision and gave us the best sleep. I told her we were not buying a bed from Mattress Warehouse , or any store for that matter, today. She immediately went to the back of the store (by the manager, I assume) and sat down. Didn't say, "oh, I understand, here's my card - just call when you're ready". She was sulking! I asked her for a card (just because we were so shocked), and she replied "I don't have a card. My name is Ruby. I'm here every day". Well, okay then. Suffice to say, "Ruby" was no gem. We walked out shocked at her reaction and vowed, never, NEVER to go into that store again. Nice inflatable outside, BTW - maybe they should spend some money on training and good customer service than a big inflatable mattress outside to lure in some unsuspecting suckers. Went right across the street to Mattress Discounters - totally different experience - an ENJOYABLE experience. If you are thinking of purchasing mattresses dont purchase from the manassas store. I have never written a review for anyone or any thing but felt the need to post this review. I purchased very expensive mattress set. Sales person never told me that I would be getting two twin size beds when I wanted a king size bed. I went to the store with very good intentions to request an exchange because I don't want two twin size bed. First they want me to wait 30 days. WHY?? The person told me to call Tempur-Pedic to see if they can do something for me. So I asked for the telephone number and she told me to look for it. What!! what kind of service is this store providing. They suck big time and will never purchase mattresses from Mattress warehouse again. I did call Tempur pedic and they are much nicer. Unlike the other reviews, I had a very nice salesman, Mike. He knew everything about the mattresses I was interested in. He did talk alot. Like the other reviews he didn't have a card to write down the two mattresses I was considering and did call his manager. This was my third store I went into looking to buy a King set and couldn't have been more satisfied with the help I received. I worked with Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the products in the store. Even though I took the "bed fitting" test in another store, I took it again in this store just to get an idea where this test would send me. Here's a hint, when you sell a mattress to someone you need explain all features of the mattress so if it sucks, has bad support, etc. When a customer calls to seeks assistance with your bedspring and mattress not fitting in the bed frame try not to sound so agitated. I was looking for a mattress set for my 100 year old Mom who was recently placed in an Assisted Living/Nursing Home nearby this store location. Kaleem was knowledgeable and offered good advice for mattress selection for the elderly. It was to be delivered the very next day! By noon on delivery day, I checked on status of delivery. I found out that the mattress was back ordered and would not arrive for 3 days....unacceptable since my Mom was without a bed in the Nursing Home. Kaleem recognized the problem and immediately began searching other stores to fill the order. Even tho it was his day OFF from work, he located a mattress set and delivered it by HIMSELF on his PRIVATE vehicle. He was my hero for the day. I am grateful that Mattress Warehouse employs such dedicated and problem solving individuals. Go visit Mattress Warehouse and ask for Kaleem for excellent above and beyond typical service. My wife and I went to this place when we were shopping for a mattress. John was our salesperson. He was extremely helpful and professional. After spending a long time there and deciding on what mattress we liked, I told him I would like to go to Sleepy's to check their collection and prices before I commit to buy. He gave me a bottom line price and was very professional and respectful about it. As he predicted, we returned after checking 2 other stores and found his price to be the best. If I could give no stars I would. I came here to look for a new king mattress set. The salesman was very rude. I told him I wanted to look found a bed I liked but wanted to go home to read more reviews before I bought it. I asked if I could have his card and if he could write down the bed information on it for me so I could review then come back to purchase. He told me he didn't have a card. I asked if he had paper he could write it down on he found a scrap piece of computer paper and had me write it down and kept trying to hustle me by changing the price as I walked out the door. Perhaps he didn't think I had any money because it was the weekend and I was in jeans and a t-shirt but regardless you shouldn't treat customers like that. I went to mattress discounters across the street. Awesome salemen's better beds and prices. Bought my new king bed in about 20 minutes and it was delivered in two days as promised and on time. I hope that the corporate office read these reviews. Went in to buy a bed and got a serious hard sell from John the General Manager. I'm not disputing that the product isn't OK and that the price wasn't fair, but his sell tactics really were off putting and he just talked WAAAYYYY too much! Had we not had only about 1 hr to find and buy a bed that day, I would have left and gone to sears or anywhere else. To boot, his associate, some 20 something girl with a bull-ring piercing in her nose and a dress that was skin tight that exposed her hoo-haw was very unprofessional (and not just in her appearance). She actually made a disrespectful comment about our President. The good thing that John did was comment to us (without the young girl near) about how inappropriate she was in her manner and dress. It's a shame that the younger generation hasn't learned about customer service and more importantly. professionalism in all manner of behavior and appearance. My experience with this retailer and its sales personnel were very positive. A bed I purchased in October 2014 did not hold up as I thought it should. The pillow top part did not hold up as I thought it should and made it seem like a very old bed. I contacted the store this spring and John, the manager, was very helpful in my making a claim to return the bed. Within just a couple days the company sent me a form for a full replacement of the mattress or the purchase price toward another. When I entered the store to decide whether or not to purchase the same mattress or another, I was greeted by a very welcoming associate who explained many things about the makeup of the different beds, including the one I had originally purchased. After weighing my options and armed with a bit more information than before (not the previous sales persons fault as mattresses have changed quite a bit from the one I was originally replacing) I decided to purchase a different mattress. Even though the product I chose did not live up to my expectations, the people at the Manassas Mattress Warehouse were nothing but courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful in ensuring my satisfaction of my purchase. Bought my first "real" mattress from MW, different location (Arlington) a several years back. Went into this Manassas location today to check out some beds in-person that I had seen on their website. I told the salesman I was going to browse a little. I read one information placard on a bed, and he approached me saying, "Do me a favor, please don't take pictures of my bed..." I was thinking, "Why does he feel the need to tell me this bizarre policy?" As he continued to talk about not needing my business, I thought, "I haven't done anything but read a placard, why would he say these things in advance?" He then said, "Please leave my store!" I was stunned. I said, "What, I don't even have a phone. How could I take a picture?" He just kept saying "Leave my store!" and waving bye to me. I asked for the manager's name, and he said he was the manager, leave his store. I told him I bought my first bed at MW and was just browsing for a new mattress for my guest room. He just kept waving and telling me to leave. I told him he was a terrible businessman and walked out to my truck. There was my phone, still plugged into my truck's 12V outlet. I really don't even know what just happened, but not only will I never step foot in this location, I will NEVER buy from MW again. This guy represents their brand, and as a manager should be ashamed. The corporation should be ashamed to employ him. He obviously thinks he saw me take a picture, but instead of listening to me when I was telling and showing him I had no phone, he treated me like a criminal. Save yourself the trip.
