I purchased a dining room table and chair set. It was "in stock" and they scheduled delivery for the next week. But then they couldn't deliver because they hadn't assembled the chairs, then they marked my order as delivered and I had to call twice to have it fixed. Then it was cancelled. And I had to call again to find out. (No money was refunded but doesn't seem like they planned to deliver) Then they finally scheduled delivery again a month later. They got here and had the wrong hardware and couldn't put the legs on my table. 3 weeks later that table is still in pieces in my kitchen. I understand that it's hard to find people and there's supply chain issues but this was just terrible service. I would never buy from them again. read more

My wife and I ordered furniture from this location on May 3rd and were given an estimated delivery of 4 to 12 weeks. When I reached out to the Sales Professional that assisted us on June 5th, they said that the furniture's estimated delivery would be June 29th. There was no further communication from the Sales Professional until I reached out to them on June 21st confirming the estimated delivery date of June 29th only to find out that the estimated delivery date was changed once more, this time to September 8th. Had we known this would take this long, we would not have placed our order. When I reached out to the Sales Professional, asking who I could speak with, they stated nobody and they weren't aware of any contact information. I have since emailed feedback@dsghome.com and customer.care@ashleydsg.com. Furthermore, I spoke with customer service by calling 877-314-8457. I understand that things happen and delays occur but the lack of communication, transparency and willing to assist is extremely frustrating. BUYERS BEWARE of Ashley furniture home stores/Dufresne spencer group. Unethical fraudulent business practices. Breach of contract. 3 delivery attempts of bedroom furniture that's delivered damaged. The 4th delivery attempt was scheduled then they canceled 2 days before delivery by leaving a message that the items aren't in. I finally reached someone who didn't hang up, they said there was no order. "It's now a service call and a technician will be in contact" But it's already been 24 days since the 3rd delivery of poor quality broken and defective furniture with no service tech reaching out. It's been 9 1/2 weeks of headache from them, I don't have what I paid for and they were paid in full! I did not pay BIG MONEY to have furniture delivered damaged and defective just to have a service tech try to patch it. They refuse to reorder, ignored my calls and emails. Their website says you have 72 hours to report any damage of the item and "they will work with you on replacement or refund" They don't abide by that and that's fraudulent business practices. I immediately let them know of the damage. Lying about where the furniture is made and what it's made of. My salesperson Javonte told me it's assembled in America by materials from overseas. I went into the Ashley store in Madison Heights at the beginning of November looking for a chair and ottoman that could be delivered prior to Christmas. The sales lady was extremely nice and walked the store with me checking the tags on the chairs I liked to see when the expected delivery date would be. We finally found a chair I liked that was in stock and could be delivered the first week of December. The sales lady said that my card wouldn't be charged until the furniture was delivered. I received a text a day later indicating that delivery wouldn't take place until on or about the second week of February 2022. Understanding that things are slower than expected due to Covid, I called and cancelled my order. It took three more phone calls to finally get the order canceled on December 2, 2022. A week before Christmas, I attempted to order two recliners for my parents and found out that my card was charged $1,144.00 even though my order was cancelled and the furniture was never delivered. I called Synchrony Bank to find out why my card was charged and they indicated that Ashley had not returned the funds to them and they sent an email disputing the charge to Ashley and was told it could take up to 90 days to be resolved. I was furious and called the Ashley store in Madison Heights and was told that their financing department hadn't processed the refund (for money they were not legally allowed to take) and the lady I spoke to said she would send an email to their finance department to try and get this resolved. I asked for the number for the finance department and was told they don't have a phone number for their finance department, they only communicate through email. I asked to speak to the manager and after a 15 minute hold was told the manager said it takes 30 days from the date I canceled, so I should expect a refund around January 2nd. I pointed out the fact that I wasn't supposed to be charged until the furniture was delivered in the first place, not to mention the order had been canceled over three weeks ago. She told me there was nothing she could do on her end and I should call back in a few days to check the progress of the refund. Unacceptable. The sales people are wonderful but if you need to cancel your order for any reason, it will be a very long and frustrating process. I ordered a dining room table and chairs in July. The saleswoman I worked with said 3 months, no way it would be any longer than that. I asked a couple of times about delivery times and they said the bench and table were ready so they could do a partial delivery. FIRST of all, I believe I got the floor model table that has damage. Second of all, the last date they told me for my chairs is JANUARY. I've asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times and no one has ever gotten back to me. I'm feeling extremely cheated in this situation, will continue to deter people away from here, and will never order from this company again. It was our first time purchasing furniture from them, and must say I will never purchase from them again. We purchased 8 dining room chairs and we paid for white glove service. When chairs arrived one of the chairs legs were too short, I attempted to catch the drivers but they pulled out too quickly for me to stop them. We called the store and after a couple attempts and getting passed around finally spoke with someone who told us they would place an order and when the order was shipped they would have someone call us. When we finally received the order it was parts to the chair, we ordered white glove service and now we are expected to fix the chair? So we called again and then were told no someone would call and come out to fix the chair. No one ever called, so today I called and got bounced around again before speaking with Genelle and she was extremely rude, when I asked for the manager was told she has a lot of managers, I told her, I would wait as she told me the names for me to write down. She told me she wasn't giving me the names, she would have them email me and the soonest someone could come out to fix it would be March 16th, over a month away. So I took her name and then attempted to contact headquarters and the automated service took me round and round and never actually spoke with anyone. At noon today I finally decided to call the original store and was able to speak with Charles the manager there, he asked if he could take my number and dig into it a bit more, and would call me back within the hour. We have been patient and understanding of a longer than normal wait time bc of covid, and 4 months later we still do not have the 4 pieces of furniture that we have ordered but even worse, there has been no communication if it weren't for us calling and checking on the status every month which has been pushed back now 4 times. During those times we would be lucky to reach anyone let alone someone that was empathetic and actually want to help without getting rude and defensive. As it turns out a few pieces of our furniture are available and they are waiting for the final piece before scheduling delivery. Send us what you've got and we will wait for the rest! I must say, Ashley Furniture has the sh*ttiest over the phone customer service! I really do like the furniture. I even didn't mind the wait time as I was not in any hurry. I knew it would be a long wait for my office furniture, 4 - 5 months. I received a part of my order a few weeks ago (around the 4 month mark). Great! No issues. The next part of my order should be coming soon (ground delivery) as my credit card has been fully charged. A quick call to customer service just to verify/confirm that the order was coming soon (I received no notification at all) was met with attitude, disdain, non-chalant, a I-hate-my-job customer service rep. I was very polite and pleasant with my part of the conversation. Ashley...TRAIN BETTER!!! DO BETTER!!! I am the customer! I should not feel like I am bothering you or like I am inconveniencing you by calling the number you provide me to ask questions pertaining to my order. Again, I had no issues with the furniture or the length of time to get my furniture. Just the crappy and nasty customer service attitude I received. First time buyin from Ashley and the Shawburn platform bed I ordered came completely filthy. Besides that, it was missing all 4 brackets to put the bed together. I called customer service who said they could send out new brackets and I would receive them within 7 and 10 days. No apologies or anything and they told me the bed coming dirty is normal. I asked if they could overnight the parts as it was there mistake and they said no. I asked to speak to a manager who was no help at all and transfered me to the part distribution area. Needless to say, all 3 customer service people I spoke to were useless. All I was told was the parts would go out within 7 and 10 days and that is all they could do. I called back 8 days later as I never received the parts and was told they haven't been sent yet and its looking like possibly the end of the month. The customer service here definitely needs some training as they don't help one bit. To my surprise, a package arrived today with 1 bracket (needed 4) and a bag full of shit I dont need. My experience with Ashley's furniture was unpleasant, frustrating, and unprofessional. I had issues with the quality of the product, the time it took to receive the furniture, and most importantly terrible customer service. Customer Service: Ashley's furniture uses a dispatch service for its delivery, customer service, and damage technician services. However, you can also call the store directly for assistance. Both options are poor. The dispatch personnel are pleasant for the most part (I've talked to around 12 of them in the last week and half) but ineffective in alleviating the issue. Unfortunately, they have very limited information and cannot provide a supervisor or call you back about progress on any potential issue. The store agents, specifically Sandra (she claims to be a manager), are not pleasant and are ineffective. After around a month and half of waiting for my furniture, it was damaged. I waited another 2 weeks for someone to come to my house to assess the damage (as required by Ashley's T&C) while i was told the technician would be out to my house on a specific dat no one came on that date. I called every day to confirm the appointment and still no one came. I called the store and spoke with Sandra. I asked for a manager, and she said all managers were busy but they will give me a call back that day. Sandra attempted to speak with me about this issue which ultimately became futile. Her customer service was subpar and extremely frustrating. Rather than deescalating the situation, she made it substantially worse. Additionally, I never received a call back-presumably because she never passed along the message to the manager. I called again 2 days later and unfortunately Sandra answered the phone. This time was much worse. This time she claimed to be a manager and was unwilling to give the phone anyone else. Sandra attempted to explain why she could not assist with my issue and said there was no one else I could talk to other than dispatch and proceeded to hang up on me intentionally (she said so). I have scheduled an in person appointment at the store today in hopes of alleviating my issue but I have pretty low expectations given my experience thus far. Time to receive furniture: As a threshold matter, I am understanding of shipping delays due to COVID. However, I ordered this furniture February 8, 2021. I was told due to COVID I would not receive the furniture until March 13. The furniture was not received on this date. I did not receive a call that there would be further delays and every time I called I would get contradictory information regarding a potential pick up day. My husband and I were not contacted until March 25 that the furniture was ready. We picked up the furniture that weekend and it was damaged. Within 24 hours I contacted Ashley's furniture through their dispatch as well as the home store and was told a technician would be out in a week. The technician never came. I called again (and many times in between) and was then given a potential date of April 9. I have yet to receive any confirmation. I have also been given contradictory information on nearly every call as to what information is an is not available to the personnel. I've been told that I would be contacted anywhere from a few hours to a few days. My calls have never been returned. I have now waited 2 months for office furniture that has yet to be received/ functioning. At this point, I would prefer a refund and return the damaged product than have to deal with Ashley's personnel but I was told they do not allow for refunds. I would like to say that my experience is antidotal, but I was warned prior to ordered furniture from here that this store is not good. I should have listened. Quality of Product: My husband and I purchased an office desk which cost around $600. When we received the desk, the wood where the leg was to be inserted was damaged, it immediately started to chip and the leg of the desk could not be attached to the desk. Our salesperson told us upon purchasing the Product Protection Plan that we would receive some cleaning products with the delivery of our furniture, and that we would get a cleaning kit every two months for minor stains. We did not receive the kit with the delivery of our furniture. I called the store to ask about this. It is impossible to reach anybody at this store. They have a recorded message that says their busy and to call various other numbers. When I called the protection company and explained what the salesperson told us, she said she had never heard of this. We were lied to. It was not necessary to lie to us to make a sale. Also, I am a Veteran. I was supposed to receive a 10% discount. I only received a 5% discount. Their protection plan costs $879.00. This is $400.00+ dollars more than Gardener White (who provides a cleaning kit with their protection plan. This is a terrible way to do business. read more

Worst company ever! I ordered furniture and paid for it in full on October 8th. Received an estimated due date twice both came and went with no phone call and no deliveries. Called again on November 24th in which I was told only the couch was available for December 8th and the rest of my items were unable to have estimated due dates at this time. So I canceled my order on November 24th. Today December 9th I called corporate who stated I should have received my refund by now, in which I have not, and they would send a notice to the store manager and that I can call the store too. So I did and spoke to Sandy or Sandra who placed me on hold as she looked up my order. Well after being on hold for an hour and 20 minutes I drove up to the store while also on hold. I was greeted by my sales man, Mike who is also the manager when I requested to speak to a manager. He informed me that he knows my order was canceled and I should receive my refund any day now. I asked for proof and was told I have to wait to speak to the office manager. So I waited. I get to this individual whom by the way is Sandy or Sandra, she proceeds to tell me that my order is in stock and ready to be delivered. I was offered $300 and $500 off my order that she told me was never canceled. She states she canceled my order she said but can provide no confirmation to me just I would receive my refund in the next few days. I would have given negative stars if there is an option.We bought a coffee table set from Auburn Hills store on 06/30/2021. We got the delivery on August 14. At the time of delivery, I found packaging totally damaged and I pointed out this to the delivery person who refused to take it back and asked me to call customer service. When I opened the box, I found out that the product with lot of scratches and dirt. I also found assembling screws missing. Interior packaging clearly showed that the product has been dismantled from somewhere and just stuffed into a mis sized Box. To my surprise , I even found out a return label inside the box that showed that this product was returned to stores by some previous buyer back in June 2021. I called up customer service immediately who told me that someone will confirm the replacement schedule. I also called up sales representative at stores who sold this product who also confirmed to give us a call back confirming the replacement . since then, I have called customer service several times just to hear same assurance of someone calling me back on replacement plan. Sales rep at your stores have since stopped answering my call. Ashley "Homestore" is the reason I downloaded Yelp onto my phone to make this review. I would start by saying the customer service is horrendous but I'm pretty sure any customer service is just non-existent. Picture this; you call two separate people on two separate days and they tell you your furniture has arrived at the distribution center and is ready to be picked up. You confirm a pickup date early in the morning on Saturday. You rent a Uhaul so you can fit all of your poor quality furniture in one trip. You show up to the distribution center and there's no furniture. We tried to call to complain and receive any kind of customer service and we got offered an Ashley gift card that's only good for the vending machine (if that even works). Couches with missing hardware for the legs, dining chairs with incorrectly drilled holes or not existent holes for assembly. I'd trust Joe Biden with giving me better quality furniture and service. Asshley Hutstore is the reason I drink. For your own sanity, physical health, marriage, extended family, and the wellbeing of others, take your business elsewhere. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. I order two desks that were supposedly "in-stock". both desk were shipped and one was damaged while the other was missing parts. Attempted to ask for a return as I had already waited over a month for my orders and was told they do not do refunds once delivered. can only do exchanges. I have spent countless hours on the phone and have gotten no where. Now I am stuck with one damaged desk and one desk I cannot even put together due to missing parts. Here I sit having wait another 6 weeks hoping I get the items I have already paid for. In-store personnel will not help as they say item has already been shipped. They just give me a number to call. So first they give us an estimated arrival date and that went by with no call or furniture. My lovely wife went to the store just to get an update after being put on hold with "customer service " the night before for an hour then ultimately disconnected, called right back and they were closed and didn't take calls. She was met by a manager who didn't seem to think my wife had the ability to use the phone properly when she was on hold the night before and that's why she didn't talk to anybody. She then talked to a salesman who searched for our order, by the way he was furiously typing we are pretty sure that he was actually entering the order in not just checking on it. He blamed the salesperson that originally entered our order saying "I don't know what she did but she doesn't work here anymore". So after waiting the original 3 weeks the threw a couple more weeks on it which brings us to today. They messaged us yesterday saying that our table would be here today, 20 minutes ago got the call that "the truck broke down" the equivalent to "my dog ate my homework ". Step your game up Ashley. GRIMEY SCAMMERS! This is the WORST customer service experience I've ever had! Everything you can think of that's wrong is wrong with this company. The salesman are nice, but they only use their niceness to con you into buying their products and spending your hard-earned money. If you get a warranty, they use covid as an excuse to not use it as promised. We had a mattress delivered 2 hrs ago and they won't do anything about it. It was delivered with an grease. A representative told us that they don't take mattresses back unless we send it back with the delivery men, which we were NOT informed of. Then the delivery guys told us that they would replace it, yet the company refuses after we wasted money on a warranty. The quality of the furniture is literally the ONLY positive thing, but they obviously don't care otherwise the products that were delivered today was missing a cushion and grease on the mattress. Their tracking system is also completely unreliable; no body seems to know what's going on and you have to pay guessing games. We are stuck with a $2000 mattress with no box springs or headboard, which is what we asked for and the salesman supposedly put on our order. We had to pay cash for installation after already asking and paying for it because it wasn't showing in their system. We did have a sectional on the way, but the wait time might be 3 months or more. Since we've had such TERRIBLE service with ZERO accommodations for any of this (such as refunds or store credit) , we're canceling it because we can't trust if the product will be damaged or have missing pieces since what we anyway ordered is NOT RIGHT! We had so bad customer service that this miserable money-sucking company will NOT have business from us again along with exposing their lies to others so they don't experience the same horrible experience. read more
