My experience in-store was fine and the actual delivery guys could not haven been more accommodating and understanding. But that's where the positive experience ends. Upon delivery, I learned that the order was missing the electric bed frame/built-in box spring and the chest had a crack. That's when a very frustrating experience started to take place and is still not resolved 3 days later. I will never use this Ashley location again, however I have used the Ashley on Rt 46 in Fairfield and would return there with no hesitation. The attitude of the warehouse/customer service team in Ledgewood is horrendous. Fairfield was a completely different experience. I wish I had known this sooner. Would have saved at least 15 phone calls, much frustration and my mom sleeping on the couch for 2 nights. They lied about the resolution just to get me off the phone after telling me she could sleep on the mattress on the floor because they didn't know where her frame was. And that was on 1/26 when the order was placed 12/1. read more

Bad experience with the salesman and their delivery service! Sales guy tried to sneak some extra furniture into our purchases and thought we wouldn't notice! The delivery sucks! They had a 2 day delay and tried to deliver it 2 days late. Tried to deliver my furniture at 12pm when I called and stopped by the store to request an after 2pm. My requested was ignored. Had to reschedule the delivery for the following Tuesday and double check that they didn't double charge me for the inconvenience they caused me!!!!!! read more

I never write reviews like this but I am so horrified by Ashley Ledgewood customer service.. Had a bookshelf delivered months ago with no screws to put it together and they still have not sent them! They keep giving us new delivery dates and no one shows up. Today they told me there is nothing more they can do for us because they already returned our delivery fee plus 15 dollars. They also said they cannot guarantee a delivery date at this point. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

The saleswoman we dealt with was great, but Cindy from delivery needs to learn how to pick up a phone to call people as a courtesy when you know the order isn't going to be delivered. We ordered furniture from Ashley furniture back in August, we still don't have it and it's October! No one called us to tell us our furniture didn't make it on the truck even though we got our automated call giving us our window of time for delivery. Only after waiting after the 4 hours window we called to find out, oops not sure why our furniture wan't on the truck.. Their customer care is awful, we are still awaiting a call back from the 3 we placed last week as to the status of our delivery. We will never do business with Ashley again. I would caution anyone from doing the same, purchase goes great, it's all caution after that. read more

I have made several purchases from the Ashley store and have never had a problem in the past. My husband and I both work odd hours and it was hard for us to furniture shop together so I tried online purchasing. Don't do it! First of all some of the pieces came UPS not really a big deal but when we inspected the headboard we found it was cracked so I emailed, no response but a week later another headboard shows up, great! today the delivery and set up guys show up with the three dressers but refuse to set up the bed that was delivered UPS! Are you kidding me? I would not have taken my bed down if I knew this because I did not have the time to try and put this bed together! I had to pay my sons friend to come and put it together so I would have a bed to sleep on after I already paid someone or so I thought! This is something they really should tell their customers! He made us comfortable enough to just hang out and take our time to discuss our finances before making this big purchase. It was a quick process and we were very happy when we left. I purchased a table for a thanksgiving dinner that was planned, after waiting for ever and not getting a call the day before my scheduled delivery date I decided to call them to inquire about my delivery window as I would have to make arrangements to be home. The first person said she was going to have to look into it and would call me back. No phone call so I called back a second time only to be informed that the warehouse didn't have all of the pieces and would not be able to deliver it until a few weeks away. What? Thanksgiving is in 2 days. I have dinner plans and no table? They made a less than half ass attempt at apologizing and provided no initiative whatsoever to rectify the situation. Probably one of the worse cases of poor customer service I have ever seen. I will take all of my future business elsewhere and close my Ashley account immediately. which is a shame because the sales person that sold us the piece who we have purchased from in the past is actually very good. I purchased bedroom furniture from Ashley Furniture in Ledgwood NJ. My sales associate was polite and great. I had the furniture delivered to my residence. I received all my furniture but a couple pieces. I was told that they were never loaded onto the truck. After going back and fourth with the company and several days off taken by me to get this delivery (which never happened). I had to cancel my order because they kept giving me the run around. Now I have to find another company to purchase the matching pieces. Their customer service in Ashley Furniture is terrible and couldn't care less. This this do disappointing!! read more

Horrible service never buy anything again. They delivered my headboard bed with scratches all over. I wait almost 3 more weeks for them to replace the headboard and on top of that they delivered the wrong attachments for the headboard. I spoke with Amy and she let me wait until she spoke with the manager and them she called me back to tell me that I should call the warehouse to schedule my delivery of the attachments. Horrible customer service and the delivery guys very disrespectful they told us not my problem and they left my house. I am very upset and for sure I am never ever again I will buy anything from Ashley Furniture and never recommend them in fact I will tell all my friends not to buy anything from them. Customer service is apparently not a priority at this store. Back in early March I went in to buy a new leather recliner. The salesperson was helpful and I purchased one. As I set up delivery, they said it would be delivered the very next week. I received a call late the next week explaining that the recliner I purchased was in fact not going to be delivered until late April...2 months after I purchased it. There was no offer of discount or deferring of delivery charge until I asked for it. The only thing they did was defer delivery charge...a call alone from the store to apologize for the extreme delay in delivery would have been nice. read more

We were in the market for some office furniture. Having bought bedroom furniture for an apartment in the past, I knew what to expect quality wise. We went for the New Year's Day sale and were able to pick out a desk, filing cabinet and bookshelf set. There wasn't a lot of options to choose from, but we found exactly what we were looking for, so it didn't matter too much. It's rustic (we live in the country) and simple. For the whole set, we paid around $1300 (it is one of their new collections). Delivery was set up for 3 weeks later. The week of delivery I received a confirmation call. They had my old address on file, so I provided them the new address. The day before I received both a confirmation call with the delivery time and text that sends you a link to confirm. I had an issue with the window (3-7pm on a Saturday), but they were able to work with us, and told us they would be there by 4 the latest. I received a text alert that they would be there in 45 minutes at 2:15, and they pulled in at 2:58. There was 3 men who were able to bring in the furniture and have it set up within 20 minutes. They did a great job because our hallway can be tricky to move things in and out of and there was no evidence they were there. They made sure that it was done to my specifications. No complaints and looking forward to having a home office when the weather turns bad this winter! read more

Wish I can give a NEGATIVE 5 Stars.. Order furniture a month ago and had it scheduled to be delivered at the end of the month. Get a call to confirm delivery and guess what " Oh BTW we won't be able to deliver XYZ " I said WHAT!! I have placed this order a MONTH ago! So they go ahead and say well we will deliver on a date literally 3days from original schedule delivery. I said OK lets give this another shot... But wait! Theres more... The day before delivery I receive the confirmation call for delivery the next day " Yay!! " . Im home having dinner and hmm wonder who is this calling boy oh boy guess who.. A$$ Furniture saying ohh umm the delivery for tomorrow scheduled for such and such time won't be happening... Screw this and canceled the freaking order! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO ELSEWHERE. The people in the store are great, but this process has been hell. Hell for my family and our moving process. They broke things while setting up my tv stand and dresser in my home and left them! Plus didn't even finish putting the tv stand together. My dresser was cracked across the side of it. My drawers in the dresser and storage bed do not close correctly. They didn't finish screwing in the tracks for one dresser drawer. The tall dresser wobbles, A LOT. They sent the WRONG cushion for the couch. It was hell getting a technician to come and and look at what was wrong. Called several several times. They ended up coming out at 6:30 am on a Saturday. They are replacing two of the drawers. Replacing the tv stand. Replacing night stand. The wobbly dresser I'm stuck with. Everything was delivered on the 6th, technician came out the 8th. Now they are telling me they can't deliver everything until the 27th.... this is all unacceptable. Why do I have to wait when this was THEIR MISTAKE? They completely ruined our move. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I feel like my $5,000 went to trash. The quality of the bed set looked better in the store. read more

We ordered a love seat. It came it three colors, red blue, and olive green. We ordered the olive green model. A few weeks later it was delivered and the love seat we received was chocolate brown. I called the store and the sales woman we Dealt with was off that day and apparently she's the only one they were willing to let me talk to. So I called back the next day to let the sales woman, who's name was Sharon, know that our couch was the wrong color and she basically told me that I obviously don't know what colors look like. Her store room is under fluorescent lights so they apparently look completely different anywhere else. Including in my apartment that also that has fluorescent lighting. I told her that the lighting wasn't the problem and she told me that I didn't understand that there was a difference basically because she had no idea how I live. The couch I orders didn't even come in dark brown but that's the couch I've had for about 6 months because according to a very rude saleswoman I'm colorblind. The loveseat is also much smaller and way more uncomfortable that the one we picked out. So we got screwed. So if you go to Ashely Furniture in Ledgewood NJ don't let the saleswoman named Sharon help you. She is a crook And doesn't give a crap about you read more

My boyfriend and I purchased a couch from this store back in February and we already have to have it fixed so that it will be "like new" as the store and repair place keep telling us. We are very unhappy with not only the fact that our new couch has to be fixed already but now my boyfriend just received a phone call that the parts to fix it have been ordered but they didn't order the parts to fix the frame and the staples that are sticking out of the arms. We are now waiting for a call back to see what is going on and why the parts have not been ordered. To say we are unhappy is an understatement. They just keep telling us that it will be fixed and be brand new when they're done fixing it. I don't know about you but to me a couch that isn't even 6 months old yet is still considered new to me and the fact that they keep saying it will be fixed to be "brand new" again is just absurd. I would never EVER recommend that anyone buy furniture from this store or any Ashley furniture store for that matter. We also purchased a bed frame and nightstand from there as well and so far it seems to be holding up ok but honestly I'm not holding my breath that it will not start to fall apart and deteriorate like our couch has. read more

We have been purchasing from this store since we got married 10 years ago. As our family has grown ,our home has grown and so has our furniture needs. From mattresses, to bedroom, dining, living and family rooms, Ashley has met our every need. We have primarily stuck with the Northshore collection in which we are very happy for our dining and bedroom. We have only had an issue with 1 couch set that they replaced in full under the Platnium Protection Plan (after 3 years of use). Very happy with the service . They also honored the plan when the kitchen table wood chipped off from use but again the PP covers ANY damage . Worth the money. As far as the store- the salesmen have always been helpful, (we use Mark) and no pressure. They try to meet your need and budget . Delivery- always on time. They remove all debris and are courteous and Layed down blankets on my wood flooring to avoid damage from their wet shoes. Very impressed. I can't see a negative rating on this store or furniture. If you care for it properly, it will last you . We have had our couches from there for over 5 years and they still look new ( they are off white and I have 2 kids!) read more

against my better judgement, I returned to Ashley's in Ledgewood, NJ and purchased several items including a coffee table, 2 end tables, 2 lamps and an accent piece. I paid part of it with an Ashley gift card that was given to me by the store last year when I had a mattress and an table delivered to me only to have the delivery men cut the mattress with a box cutter when they were removing the plastic and breaking one of the legs on the table. My new order was scheduled for delivery the 1st week in October but I had a delivery truck show up at my house on 2 separate occasions last week stating that they were there to pick up my old furniture. I contacted the store and was told that messages had been left about the delivery and oh by the way, your end tables have been discontinued! Wouldn't you think that their sales person who's name was Puerto Rico would check to make sure of this before selling it to a customer!. I cancelled the entire order and was given a refund minus the $100 gift card. I was told by the store manager, Dave and a rude customer service woman, Lisa, that I was not entitled to the $100 back because it was a gift card. It sure was a gift card from Ashley's that was given to me by Ashleys for last years inconvenience! They offered me a credit! I told them that I would never ever return to the store so what was the point but they still refused to refund the $100. The purchasing and delivery experience was seamless, that's where the positive experience ended. After the delivery people left, i noticed a burn mark and a grease mark on the arms. I immediatly contacted my sales rep. He responded to me, asked me to email him pics which I did immediatly and he said he would take care of it, he sent it to his manager and i was told that the couch would be replaced and I will get a call in a few days. it was almost a week that I received a call from a very snippy person. I was told they had no pics and they were only advised to call regarding a complaint an to send the pics which I did. I received a call back stating that new arms would be mailed to me and a technician will be there to reupholster. Thats not what I was told initially and i want the couch replaced now of course getting someone to talk to is impossible and I get no call/text back. We went to this store to purchase a table for our living room. Due to problems with delivery, we decided to cancel our order and go elsewhere. They tried to hold our money ransom by saying there will be a 25% restocking fee when the item was in stock and never left the store. When we called to talk to the manager, which was never available, they told us he would be happy to call me back. They never did. The only way we got our money back was to file a charge back with AMEX which resulted in our money getting returned the next day. It really shouldn't have been this hard to get you money back and from what I understand, this isn't the first time they have done this. Will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

very unsatisfied with the girls behind the counter who take all your information. they are rude. purchased 3 items and had to return them the next day.. took them over a month to put the credit back on my ashley credit card and when i called to complain, they said it was the credit card company that holds the card, it was their fault. yet the ashley customer service dept told me it has to do with the store and when they submit the cancelation.. once again.. no one takes accountability.. i believe it was the stores mistake, because each girl behind the counter acts annoyed that they have to work there. i will never purchase from this store again.. read more
